So I ended up tagging along with my friends to a full moon drum circle all night. Only was able to get one photo that I liked:
mine's the n9000 but it's basically the same minus one aperture setting and the lead weight in the base

I took some pictures of some common sparrows. Had a bunch of leftover bread so I used it to fatten them up :v:

Aw, sparrows are my favorite bird
They're pests in large numbers though :x
If I can dig up an old shot of mine I took with my cousin's Nikon P90 (which I probably cant since the one computer I know for sure it's on is not with me atm), I'll post a picture of some sparrows tearing apart the remnants of an orange. Cute stuff.

Do you mind if I use the first one as a wallpaper?

How did you get such a sharp close up of the needle?
50mm backwards in front of a 55mm lens.
[sp]thanks to lain for telling me about that trick <3[/sp]
Guys I finally converted my spare body (Panasonic G3) for infrared photography and took it out this afternoon for some shots

More birdies
Think I've got decent pictures of all the small birds that visit my feeders now except the greenfinches.
I'm terrible at choosing which pictures of a given bird to show, for example with these two of a goldfinch,
the former has a nicer background but the eye isn't as sharp as it could be, while the latter has a boring background but is sharper all round

killer shot
on the film still thing - what is it that does that? i think a lot of the time it comes from me actually being a film minded person but i don't photograph like that on a conscious level. maybe it's to do with ppl not directly interacting with the camera because i don't like to publish ppl actually knowing i'm there, i like to be amongst the scene and float around it.
I think you've hit the nail on the head there man.
