A whole roll of blurred shots. The only ones that came out almost in focus were taken with a tripod and shutter cable.

I was warned that the shutter on the viewfinder shakes the camera enough to cause it to blur but I never listened. I never do
I used my tripod for the first time in 6 months

dis ain't motion blur, the lens wasn't in focus. defo worth getting that looked into. what camera is it?

yeah, i had this happen on a camera before where the focusing screen was kinda dislodged, and everything looked in focus in the viewfinder but actually wasn't

Maybe it wasn't focus, not like I had any way of telling. I was using a Beirette Junior II

I turned around to go back inside and I came in my pants
Kinda disappointed that I didn't have a real camera to get these with, I could have really made these look good.

For the ones with silhouetted foregrounds, would darkening the foreground even more (so that it's almost straight black) improve it? Or are the silhouettes fine as is?

I always find it hard to critique, especially when I have no idea what results you are aiming for. But how I see them right now are underexposed portraitures, they lack extra elements which I can combine to create narration and ambience. Why not portraiture these people with the fire pit in the frame? Maybe there was someone playing an instrument? photograph this person entertaining the rest around the fire pit. If you wouldn't have mentioned these picturese taken at a fire pit I would've thought it was a backyard party.
Also bump up that ISO to gain shutter speed, no need to end up with camera shake in half of your shots.

I think I agree with ubernoob about how he's skipping the middle man and just not posting his photos instead of posting them then deleting them later.
