I agree with you on the black levels, but this "very silly watermark" is actually for the media outlet i am currently shooting for ([url]https://www.facebook.com/MaydayGarage[/url]) with a reach of about 500,000 people so I'll make do. Watermarks on my photos are for advertisement when they get shared, not to prevent theft.

I understand that they're necessary but they're also massive and intrusive to your pictures. I would think that a more subtle watermark would be less distracting.
