Unfortunately that's up to my boss, not me and he pays my bills so I listen. I happen to like the watermark myself. I still don't understand why we can't just look past it and just enjoy the photo.

every element of the photo affects how it's perceived including setting, light, colours, the amount of sky, the framing, the post, the vignette, the split toning and even the watermark. it's not separate from the photo - it's part of it.
All the photos I take end up getting watermarked but I export versions without it to post on here and flickr and the like

hey everyone, its been a long while since i've posted anything on here. i've been insanely busy with work and i haven't had time to do much photography. i am now on leave, so i will be spending it trying to get back into the swing of things.

Got the CineLook picture style, mainly for video, today. Since it's a picture style, you can shoot photos with it too in JPEG. Here are my tests, enjoy. :)

Personally i think this is the best picture of yours that i've seen. Nice edit and lines. Keep shooting and expanding your choices of subject, and keep exploring that editing style. This is much better than your self portraits, but keep doing them and improving them too if thats your thing!

I can see them. I wonder why you're all having trouble?
i would say tone down the orange and reds in the later photos, they look a bit unnatural. other than that they look good!
it's kinda hard to explain how wicked saturated the clouds looked then, but they were probably even more red than that to the eye
3rd last is pretty much dead on relative to what i eyed i think, but i see what you mean with a couple other ones
totally believe you on that, i just think with the other colors being more muted that the reds look a little strong. like that there's just not enough gradation and tonality within the reds, they are mostly just one solid color (and to the eyes i would imagine there would be more nuances). desaturating would restore some of the dynamic range imo

i mean i could be wrong on this, just my thoughts on it. if it's at all unclear or you want me to take a stab at it shoot me a PM or something.
overall the editing looks good though, consistent within the set and with all your work as a whole. you nail the aesthetic well. it is different than i would edit though, but certainly not in a negative way at all
nah, i'm with you on this one. i feel like before they were more of a saturated solid mass rather than a layer with dynamic range. just took someone to point it out

The Chase & Status and Nero gig was in a huge photography studio turned warehouse party, ironically it had some of the most frustrating lighting I've ever had to work with and was also super cramped
