I really like the one on the right, but please trust me when I say that the photo won't suffer if you leave the sky alone.
I was adjusting things in the HDR menu, and the sky got that way. That is the original sky (I'm well aware that the configuration in this .gif is horrendous, just trying to show I didn't replace the sky) I saw someone in a YT video, not use this screen, use the 32 bit screen, save as TIFF then go into Lightroom and pull off some pro shit. So I have downloaded Lightroom, I'm just learning it a bit more. I might try (that persons) method next. What are the different routes of HDR that I can take here? What would be the "best" method?; Allowing the most options.
Got morning shift, so early dawn pics ahoy. When there are hazy outlines around objects (generally those contrasted with the sky in a photo), it's a sign of "this photo was HDRed to shit". The entire point is that you should not be going out and saying "I want to take some HDR photos today" you should be saying "this is an incredibly interesting shot that I have before me, it's a shame I'm probably going to have to use HDR exposure to get an equivalent image to what my eye sees". Hopefully the point is coming across.
HDR i feel has become an almost over-used term, stereotyped with the perception of heavily over edited pictures that are attempting to milk the effect. I've never seen a HDR image look good. You know why, because you're not supposed to tell that the person has evened out the exposure to seem like HDR. It should just be a quality to the image that the person maybe 'cant put their finger on'. HDR is a gimmick.
Went for a walk up a hill a couple weeks ago. Only decent shot I got.

I have a feeling you don't know what your HDR sliders are doing.
or what hdr actually should do
no initative to go out and take pix, so ive edited an older one i liked. It seems to me like you're trying to throw yourself in the deep end with this editing stuff and you don't fully understand what everything does. Maybe just go for a drive or walk and take pictures of things that make you happy or make you feel anything really, then come back, delete the ones that you don't particularly like and give us your best. Practice with your camera, learn all the functions, figure out some theory and technical details and it'll come together. I promise.
Gorgeous, especially the first one
I was wondering if I fucked up rule of thirds on the first pic when I cropped it.
