The Creative Photography Thread v9 - "Take a whetstone to your lens for a sharper image."

I was playing around with a couple of lenses (literally lenses) that have ended up in my miscellaneous drawer.

This one was made with the viewfinder lens from some old soviet camera (which is sadly gone):

Here, I used two small lenses from a very shitty, cheap telescopic sight, stacked on top of each other. Basically, I managed to create a macro lens for my phone. They also produce a very interesting bokeh:

Got inspired to go take some night photos tonight on my walk back from closing at my work. There's some sweet stuff downtown I'll be sure to share in the future but as for now here's my first photos from the first 2 days of having my Nikon D3200.

Go to share (the bendy arrow icon), set the code to BBCode, and I find Medium (~800px longest edge) to be a suitable size for the thread, although they can certainly be smaller if you have a lot to post. Then just copy and paste the guy and you're set.

Got a polarising filter, gave it a test on some sky shots. I love it so far, it makes every outdoor shot look better. I'm keeping a constant eye out of my window now for grand, crisp clouds.

Question: Does stacking the polarising filter on top of the UV filter I keep on the lens at all times have any negative effect?

Been using my K1000 a lot lately! It's a lot nicer to bring around a smaller camera instead of my huge 7D. Plus, the Costco near me develops in half an hour and is only about $1.59 to process!
