If that's the case I'd go with f5, does it have a manual focus option? If not, your best bet is to pick one plant to focus on and try to guess where it will land, so you're already in focus and ready to go if you're lucky enough for it to alight where you've chosen. For me wildlife photography is generally one or two good shots out of hundreds, if not thousands (especially if you're out an entire day) of photos- so patience and sheer will are a must.
