everything seems to slow down and you get really giggly, then everything speeds up until you wake up and you have no idea where you are
This.
Two hours felt like 5 minutes. I don't remember much of the rest of the day, I guess I slept mostly. But then it starts to hurt...
Luckily I haven't had much swelling so my face doesn't look too messed up >.<
I think im just afraid of the "Sleeping" Part of this.
oh my god its nothing. when i woke up, i thought i was just sleeping and i was in my room. untill i realized it wasnt my room and it was a recovery room.
that sucked. :smith:

Don't worry about it, i was "afraid" of the sleeping bit too, but all you really feel is the IV needle, then they gas you. You fall asleep without even realizing it (and pretty much in the 2 hours that goes by you have no dream, and no conscious brain activity) then you'll wake up after they take the IV needle out and shit.
Make a video like everyone else. (Like when you wake up all high.)

There's shitloads more videos of wisdom pullers.
They also give you vicodin, which will REALLY fucking help. Without you're in for a world of hurt.
It really isn't too painful, unless you have an extremely low pain tollerance. I had vicadin, but I really wasn't in much pain before I took it.
And OP, being put under is easy as anything. I literally don't even remember being put under, but I know they did it with an IV. My mom said good bye to me and I totally don't remember it. When you wake up you feel really really sleepy, and comfortable, and it seems like you were only asleep 5 minutes. Also they have you rest for like 30 minutes, at least I did.
This was for my wisdom teeth, which I had all 4 pulled just like you are.
A year ago I had major back surgery, so I have had even more experience in the field of anesthesia and pain killers, and man, it isn't as bad as it sounds. Anesthesia is the best thing and it is very rare that you are aware during it, so don't let that asshole above me scare you. Painkillers are extremely effective, and you won't be in that much pain like it sounds. I was mainly sensitive to some foods for a bit, but only like 3 days or something.

But that one in particular is funny as hell

So is David after Dentist... wait no.
Good luck.
Pineapples! Eat lots of pineapples!
I'm dreading the day I have to get them removed.
All I can remember is them asking me questions before the surgery, then everything went dark. When I woke up, I was on a bed. Then I got in a wheelchair thinking it was the funniest thing in the world (its a chair, and it has WHEELS! Ha ha hurf durf). Then I thought I was going to hit the car and crash when they pushed me toward it.

As long as I get the IV and get drugged to hell and back, I'm good. I hope someone records it.
I've never been put under, and im a hypochondriac..
Can anyone help me out?
I think they're putting me out with an IV, but I am not too sure..
Even if they don't put you out, what hurts the most on the entire procedure is the anesthetic, prety much because after that nothing else hurts.
Also they can kee you drugged up with good stuff for most of the time you should be feeling pain so it's pretty much painless as a whole nowadays.
Oh my fucking god. I've got two wisdom teeth hurting like fuck atm. Should I go get them removed or should I take it like a man and cry myself to sleep?
Pee in your mouth. It'll help the pain.

Get that shit removed, the earlier the better
Also, to OP; don't worry too much. I'm also deathly afraid of needles, but the surgeon who did my procedure (4 wisdom teeth out, 2 of them impacted to shit) gave me a relaxant beforehand, which definitely helped. You might be able to request one.
Other than that, the medicine they give you afterwards is the shit. Feel-good pills yeeeeea
Good luck man! Mine are still a ticking time bomb in the back of my mouth.
I got lucky, my jaw is large enough to accommodate all my wisdom teeth.
everyone has them, not everyone needs them removed
I don't, and those aren't the only teeth I'm missing.
Nope, the reason most people need them removed is because the direction they grow out impacts with your molars. If they don't do that, you're in the clear.
Well shit why not just solve the problem permanently with the science of GENETICS!! :science:
they'll steal you kidneys when your under
They're doctors they probably know what they're doing. I get mine out next week, I get to be on drugs! Whoop whoop!

Hydrocodone. :smug:
Since there's a thread on this, here's a random question:
I'm getting mine removed next month, and the appointment is exactly 4 days before I leave again for college. Do the after-effects last longer than that?
Also the lady on the phone gave me three options - local anesthesia, general anesthesia or IV sedation? And I picked local because the other two weren't covered by my insurance.
I had all 4 removed at once in the hospital while knocked out. It doesn't hurt, well not for me it didn't, I didn't get any bleeding afterwards as well. My cheeks did swell up a bit for a couple of weeks, just stick closely to the meds they give you and you'll be fine.
When I was little my Doctor pulled 4 of my baby teeth out. I was sad :saddowns:
everyone has them, not everyone needs them removed
That is false, I am 21 years old. Got some dental done the other week. Asked the dentist if i will get wisdom teeth. He said i am one of the lucky 2% of humans in the world that don't have them.
i hope you enjoy ice cream, soup, and mac and cheese, because that's pretty much all you going to be able to eat for about a week

Uhh you want IV sedation unless you're really okay with needles.
