Meet in the Taco Bell HQ, at least we might have food there.
Woah just noticed Taco Bell's HQ is in Irvine. Awesome. :downs:
Why is the Central US a Megaswarm? :geno: Areas around there are the least populated. Why not near Chicago/Canada Boarder, Southern California/Middle California, Atlanta, New York, etc?
The government is planning their infection areas based off this map thank you OP.
What never made sense to me was that the infection spread via Chinese immigrants, who would likely go to the west coast, but Max Brooks went: 'Fuck it, I'll make it so that New York City is the most infected place in the United States, I'm sure no one's thought of that.' I call serious bullshit on that.
Meet in the Taco Bell HQ, at least we might have food there.
What are you, stupid? There's nothing in taco bell except lettuce and frozen ground beef. Meet in a costco, where there's more food (especially non perishables), or a police station for firearms, find a reservoir for gathering water.
costco
:respek:
We still need someone to guard the door and check the guys coming in to see if they're infected. If they're infected blow their heads off and cut their body into pieces.

Build a barricade once we get inside. Three guys in only. Grab any food, tools, camping gear, water, medical supplies, and each of us need a bicycle. Once we get all that, leave for a smaller town where there's fewer zombies. Restock and keep moving.
Union City has less than 80,000 people that should be small enough.
Or Amador City it has a really low population we're pretty much safe.
Safe, on a mountainous island, off the coast of BC, smack dab in the center of the safe zone.
I'd be terrified of a Finnish zombie though...
Yay British Columbia! (safe)
I'd probably just stay home though and barricade all the doors. Exactly how safe is the safe zone?

Parts of it is used as live bait for distracting the zombies.
Texas.
But we have GUNS.
LOTS AND LOTS OF GUNS!
Dang, son. I'm in an infested area.
Goin to California. Bbl.

We'll get to union, restock, and travel north along the 101 till we can find a straight shot to the coast. We'll get our backs to the ocean, and travel along the coast until we find more people.
Alright guys in California we'll all meet up at Irvine when the zombies attack. Bring crowbars and shovels!
Irvine?!? Are you guys fucking stupid or insane? Irivine, which is south Orange county, is surrounded by metropolis and part of the great Southern California Sprawl that starts in Pasadena and extends well, to just south of Irvine. Don't your realize that there will be lots of fucking zombies down there, and that the freeways will be fucked?
Besides, I'm pretty sure the Irvine Association will charge you guys fees for shooting/killing zombies and leaving them on your lawn, which means you'll need to figure out how to dispose of all the fucking bodies. . .
If I were you, I'd head to Barstow, or somewhere out east, where at least its open, flat, and if you can get up high, you can see Zed coming and get the fuck out, or take them down.
I'll be in Hawaii, lol.

There were lots of ways it spread, such as illegal organ transplants from China and elsewhere being put into wealthy people(maybe some from NY).
Plus, look at the Swine flu. It went from some obscure place in Mexico to China in a flash, proving that in today's world all population centers are connected.

the thing about irvine is all of its nooks, crannys, and alleys. Drive there. once you get close to a meeting spot, go by bike. There's tons of wiggle room with a bike.
Then lets head to Union City's costco, stock up and travel north along 101.
hur durp california is da only place i know and plus i live there so i'l maek ti yelow

What do you have in your house you can bring?
:D
I love getting in depth with things like this.
Mental experiments.

OP got the "safe zones" from a book called World War Z. Didn't make 'em up himself.
What do you have in your house you can bring?
I have a shovel lying around here somewhere.
First-Aid kits but that's pretty much useless since it isn't going to cure the infection unless you get injured by other means than zombies.

So it's just bandages? Bring the shovel, bandages, alcohol (consumable or not), nonperishable food, a jacket, and durable blanket if you have one.
I'll go steal a shopping cart from a local store to use for carrying stuff.
sweet. Let the looting commence.
Safe! Thank you California!
I have World War Z, it's a great book.
I happen to own both works of Max Brooks. I am fully prepared on my wits alone.

We need to pull a Magneto and float away on the Lions Gate...
