Wolfsenstein 3D and RTCW were perfect, 09 felt like if Infinity Ward were in charge of making a Wolfenstein game it was terrible. Thank fuck TNO was so much better than that.
That is one of my favorite games. In fact the only complaint I hear anyone give pretty much just boils down to "but muh wolfenstein". Don't get me wrong, Wolf3d is probably up in my top 5, but Wolfenstein 09 is a damn fine game.
In terms of disappointment, I can honestly say that Saints row the third was pretty disappointing. Test Drive Unlimted 2 was pretty crappy on release also, I lost interest in it a little after release anyway so im not too sure how its doing now.
I've played so much shit that I don't even know anymore. It's kind of a tie between Sonic '06, Gender Bender DN-Long Ass Name, and Postal 3. There's some other terrible games I've played, but I usually only played them for maybe five minutes and I can't really say they're the worst games I've ever played because I haven't experienced enough of them.
Get some mods man.
A bad game with mods is still a bad game. also the worst game I've played was the Terminator 3 game, it was pretty much unplayable, no controls worked.
Absolutely horrid
Skyrim. It's just so bland, repetitive and uninspired
I honestly don't know how this is a real answer. Skyrim might not be a perfect game, hell it might not even be a great game, but it's far, far from the worst. Anyway, worst game I've ever played is Rust.
every modern call of duty (mw2-ghosts)
Star Trek 2013(?) [editline]27th July 2014[/editline] The most broken one
Guncraft Pretty much Minecraft with Horde Survival. One of the draws is making a custom weapon. Unfortunately its pretty much "make a skin for something that uses one of 4 base weapon types". There are little things you can do with this, like make a rocket launcher into a grenade launcher. None of that matters though, as to use your own creation outside of the the creator it has to be approved by the community. A community that approved the "Chuck Norris" gun, which was just a rifle made to look like a blocky Chuck Norris is in your hand.......
Three joint worsts. ZombiU: On one of the first levels I'm trying to get through a door and get killed by a zombie on the other side because the controls are so shit. I respawn as a new character, I go back to the same place and get killed by 2 zombies, I respawn again, get kill again by 3 zombies. You can probably guess where this is going by now... Hearts of Iron 3: They took Hearts of Iron 2 and tried to fuck it up as much as possible to the point where it's a glitchy, confusing mess of a game with virtually no redeeming qualities. Every Codemasters Shooter: Seriously after games like "Turning Point: Fall of Liberty" and "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" thank god they gave up.
the sims 3 was horrible. granted, it was not the worst, but it was so horribly coded, and then when you added expansion packs to it, it became extremely unstable. The real nightmare is the engine behind it. I attempted to try to get it running on a secondary computer of mine. it tried running itself at and fps way in the high hundreds, and ended up frying my graphics card. I apparently am no where near the only guy who had this happen to them either.
A bad game with mods is still a bad game. also the worst game I've played was the Terminator 3 game, it was pretty much unplayable, no controls worked.
I disagree. Skyrim has many more mods than any of the previous Bethesda games it's crazy, and with this you can customize the game to your choosing. We all know about the flaws the game has, but you have to try to get over them. For me, playing the game with realism mods, and mods that make the game more challenging, while playing a stealth/ranger nord character makes the game so much more fun. There is even a mod that disables the main quest, dragons, and shouts for you if you wish to not be the chosen hero.
Bad Rats
Bad Rats is a life-changing piece, it made me a different person. One with much less brain cells.
The Elder Scrolls: Arena. The game is ambitious to be sure, an open world RPG with a fuckhuge massive randomly generated world, and it's pretty long and all that shit. It's a game that sounds good on paper though; none of it's elements hold up at all and quite frankly I doubt I'd find it enjoyable even in it's time period. The biggest problem is that it's quite frankly too fucking hard. I know, I know, old game, whatever, I don't care; the only really efficient method to level up so you can actually play the game is to find a dungeon and sit in a corner, waiting and grinding on enemies, and that's not excusable no matter what time period the game's in. As for the other gameplay elements, there are about 4 different types of radiant quests for the majority of the game. Each one requires you to hunt around a town, asking for directions and trying to find the fucker giving out the quest, which can take like 10 minutes by itself. The quests themselves aren't that interesting and they pay like ass, until you get quests from royals which you only ever do when you need money. Grinding for levels is an ordeal in and of itself, and since quests don't give out any xp beyond the monsters you kill along the way, I imagine if you didn't grind and played it normally it would be the longest fucking game of all time. So yes, it's very ambitious and huge, but it's depth is paper thin. While that's all mediocre, what makes me utterly loath it is that it taunts me. Always goading me that "Ooh, you'll never beat all the TES games, never everrrr" So I press on, and on, and on, hours and hours and then I can't stop because if I stop all that time was for naught, I have to keep going. The game forces me to play it. I force me to play it. I hate this game, it's the worst, it's fucking sickeningly loathsome and it shouldn't exist. If you're a fan of TES, give it a miss. The literal only reason to play it is for completion's sake, and I guess to be able to wander around Tamriel completely but frankly it has as much to do with Tamriel nowadays as it does Guam, which is fuck all. Even ESO's boring ass world is better to wander around in. Aside from the world map, the game set almost nothing in stone about Tamriel or The Elder Scrolls in general; it contributed to the lore that Uriel Septim VII exists and the Empire and that's about it. No aedra, daedra, thalmor, falmer, dwemer, ayleids, none of that ever. 0 lore to be had. The plot itself is really really really simple and you could seriously just look the cutscenes up on youtube or read a plot synopsis and not waste your time. Daggerfall is still a dated game but holy shit is it a million times better and much more worthy of your time. If you like old ass RPGs play that, it's free. [t]http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091129234341/marvel_dc/images/c/c6/Superman_64_Box.jpg[/t] I regret renting this game when I was little. Also, I still just can't get over how horrible the controls are from this game provides.
100% Orange Juice. Someone gifted it to me on Steam and I played it for about 30 minutes. Had no clue what the fuck was going on.
100% Orange Juice. Someone gifted it to me on Steam and I played it for about 30 minutes. Had no clue what the fuck was going on.
Same with me and Spacechem. Couldn't understand shit, but I wouldn't say it's bad. Just not for me.
bad rats In all seriousness, it was so bad it was good.
Gettysburg Armoured Warfare I have no words for how insultingly terrible this game was

Duke Nukem Forever. I'm so glad I cancelled my pre-order for it. Later got it for $5.
its reviews are quite fun to read though

A few years ago in the town of Middlebury Oregon, there was a man named Joseph Woodstock. He liked to be called Joey. He was a nice fellow, with a few close friends. The local ladies who saw him sometimes bowling at the local Bowl-o-Rama Bowling Alley said he was pleasant on the eyes. He was a nice guy to be around, and a very pleasant conversationalist. He knew all the right things to say, and never seemed to be on anyone's bad side. He never had a run in the with local police, and was very straight and narrow. He owned an auto parts store in town. the shop being one of only 2 auto places in town was profitable, leaving Joey to skip the 9 to 5 grind, and have plenty of free time to pursue more leisurly activities. Joey was American as apple pie, and loving life to the fullest. He did have a girlfriend, whom he had even asked to marry him recently. She gladly accepted. Joey's life seemed set. Joey was a good wholesome average man, with lots to live for. Which is why none of the rest of this makes sense... On the night of September 14th, 2012, Joey was last seen sitting outside of his 2 story home, on his steps. A neighbor recalls seeing Joey through her window across the street. Joey appeared to be shaking, wearing only what appeared to be a towel, shorts (possibly boxers), and no shoes on. He looked a mess. The neighbor went downstairs, and when she went out of her door to see if Joey was okay, he was gone. She went to his front door and rang the doorbell, but there was no answer. 2 days later, Joey's body was found outside of town washed up in a riverbed. Police say there was no signs of foul play, and it appeared that he had commited suicide by jumping off a bridge located further upstream, breaking his neck on impact. None of this made sense. This man, whom was recently engaged and not in any trouble financially or otherwise, took his own life? This made no sense at all. Police searched his home and found no evidence of foul play. When they searched his den, the lights were flickering off and on, with a faint humming coming from a computer fan. The computer had been left on. Maybe there were clues here? One officer walked up to the computer desk, and touched the mouse enough to get the computer out of sleep mode. what he saw haunted him. A few seconds later, the computer monitor sparked, and then it shut off. It had died. As well as the computer with it. Haunted by what he had seen, officer Henry King mentioned none of this to other officers, and left what he had seen on the screen out of his report. 4 days later, Henry King was found dead in his apartment. He had hung himself the night before. On his computer monitor it flickered off and on. Bad Rats: The Rat's Revenge. Scribbled on a notepad also on his desk, in almost illegible hand writing was a small message: "Abandon all hope ye who enter here"
RAGE- Not a bad game by any means, but was fairly disappointing.
Postal 3 While the scripted scenes were funny, the rest of the game was just a mess. Most of the achievements didn't register for me, several friendlies wouldn't follow me, and the ending was a total shit fest. Above all, for the amount of content, the game was ridiculously large, 10gb for what maybe 8 hours max of gameplay. The only real bad experience I have had with source though.
gmod
Rust
