[t]http://i.imgur.com/7neQNlB.jpg[/t] GOD it was awful. The textures looked like someone took a shit and called it a wall, there was like ZERO detail, it was riddled with bugs, full of poor design choices, bland and generic gunplay, and the story was just utterly incoherent. Honestly the only game I stopped midway through gameplay and said, "Nope, not finishing this." and uninstalled. [editline]4:44[/editline] even posting about it makes me regret the whole two hours I spent on this shit.
The funny thing is that dropping it like that probably made more sense than the actual ending. It just sort of halts after a scene that felt just like plenty of the other ones, like the whole game has just been one overly prolonged heart attack and the rest of the body just finally gave up and admitted it's dead.
I'd have to say my experience with Sonic R left me with a new perspective on life.
Blues Brothers 2000 for the N64. Ungodly adaptation of an ungodly movie.
The worst on a technical level would have to be Tunne Rats 1969. It was based on an Uwe Boll movie, so theres that. Followed up by Flatout 3. Most disappointing/insulting was Aliens: Colonial Marines. Because theres nothing like fucking up continuity. Most forgettable was X-Blades, TRAUMA and Foreign Legion: Multi Massacre.
Blues Brothers 2000 for the N64. Ungodly adaptation of an ungodly movie.
People don't like Blues Brothers 2k? I thought it was awesome but I was like 6 when I first saw it
I feel like being controversial! Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is probably my most loathed game because of what it could have been. The original Counter-Strike was a classic and set the standard for the games that would eventually arrive in the future, and taking those original "no-BS" concepts to modern day seemed like it would be awesome. And, for the most part, it is awesome so long as you don't venture away from competitive play. I'm a casual player, and my first experience with CS:GO was terribly confusing. I joined a deathmatch server and was greeted with the worst spawn system I've had in any game. It's worse than Call of Duty's backstabbing spawn system and puts itself on a new caliber of stupid. Everyone spawns next to you and you spawn next to everyone else 100% of the time. And seeing as you have one second to buy your items upon spawn (I'm not even kidding), your inexperience will pair you with random weapons to duke it out with someone who as an AWP buyscript. This ruins Deathmatch completely. Probably the biggest turn-off I had with CS:GO is the lack of explanation of how guns work. Recoil patterns are never explained in an in-game tutorial or anything, and this knowledge is essential to getting better as a player. The tutorial also tells you things like, "crouch for accuracy" when it should explain everything that affects your accuracy including moving, jumping, spraying, stutter-stepping, etc. (While some of those are common sense I seriously didn't know moving affected accuracy, and I found out about stutter-stepping online.) Maps are also a bit of a problem. Most of the Arms Race maps are way, way too small and boxed in. CS:GO doesn't need expansive maps, but this is a bit abysmal. Arms Race is still loads of fun once you get past the claustrophobic size though! Competitive play is also fun, but the problem with that is I'm not looking to play hour-long games of CS:GO all the time. And that's what sucks - if you aren't playing competitively you're kind of stuck playing sub-par Counter-Strike. It isn't the worst game, but I spend a lot of time thinking, "This could have been better."
Persona 3 Tartarus was so goddamn tedious and boring I couldn't even put myself to finish the game halfway in. I loved Persona 2 IS and EP, and enjoyed P4, and revere pretty much every SMT game, but that's just one game I can't stand.
Halo 4. It really didn't need to exist, but it happened anyway. Its incredibly boring to play and feels even worse. The new forerunner weapons are basically nerfguns with glow sticks on them. I came up behind a guy with the light shotgun, point blank behind him, and all the rounds fucking bounced off him not even taking down his shield. More often than not I found myself being swarmed by enemies, running out of ammo with my more useful guns, and being forced to pick up and use the new shitty weapons to fight off the forerunner robot things which seem super resistant to their own weapons. The new grenades do jack shit against NPCs, and more often than not i manged to kill myself with them. Other times I'd have to hide and wait after attacking large group of enemies which would result in fights lasting nearly 10 minutes without progression. I found myself laughing at the game because of how much fun I wasn't having. I've never played the multiplayer, but from what I saw it looks just a boring as the rest of the game. Reach had the best Multiplayer of any halo so far IMO. It's just a shitty game that shouldn't have been made, good thing my brother bought it and not me. EDIT: And the story is shit to.
People don't like Blues Brothers 2k? I thought it was awesome but I was like 6 when I first saw it
I couldn't get through the first half-an-hour of it. It's a huge disgrace to the original movie.
I feel like being controversial! Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Eh, was the deathmatch server you played on official? I've never had any sort of problem getting guns if and when I play deathmatch. I wouldn't mind a better tutorial, but I find learning things like recoil patterns and the meta to be endearing and things people take for granted as an experience. I, personally, find it enjoyable to research the game and do things on my own. The tutorial should be more in depth, though, considering there is one (fairly useless). I havent found the maps issue to be a problem since you can just turn off the maps you dont like when searching for games in comp/casual, and finding servers is a no brainer on that front. Honestly, there are way too many gametypes and controllable variables in counter strike to say it's a bad game if you enjoy the core mechanics, which I do. However, many don't, and that's their preference. You shouldn't have a complete grasp of the game and a lack of confusion when you play for the first time.
Eh, was the deathmatch server you played on official? I've never had any sort of problem getting guns if and when I play deathmatch.
I just use the quick-play option and always get stuck with the White Pinion servers or whatever they're called.
I wouldn't mind a better tutorial, but I find learning things like recoil patterns and the meta to be endearing and things people take for granted as an experience.
I think it would be cool if they had multiple tutorials to the game that help the player understand and master different aspects of CS:GO. Imagine a specific tutorial for the AK47 recoil pattern, or general accuracy. There wasn't even a movie ticket inside.
DOOM 3 This is about the worst I can think of, I usually check out a games reviews beforehand just to make sure that I'm getting something good for my money. It just played like some confused Half-Life 1 clone trying to be like the series of old at the same time.
I don't remember playing any particularly bad games, ive played games that I don't like but are well made solid titles, cant really think of anyth- no. No. NO. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omerta. Probably has the worst Sandbox mode in any game I've ever played. I paid full price for a boring, ugly, and unbalanced pile of fucking shit. One of the few game purchases I regret.
Frontlines: Fuel of War. The story was ratber interesting, but executed very badly. the action parts were boring and repetitive. And the multiplayer was so god damn boring.
And don't get me started on the guns Good Lord, the fucking guns Every assault rifle handles like a SMG on steroids, with the accuracy of a 90-year old grandma with parkinsons firing a M60 from the hip. Every rifle also includes a scope. But you can't aim down your fucking sights, oh no, it acts as a sniper scope and that's it, it doesn't improves your accuracy at all. The LMG is another piece of shit. The sniper rifles are good. The rocket launchers will become your best friend, and it helps that there are boxes of ammunition every fifteen meters or so, I'm not kidding. SMGs are as useless as the assault rifle, except they're weaker and have even more recoil. Really, you can beat the game by relying on your pistol and whatever rocket launcher you manage to find.

Seems I've been lucky to stay away from the bad ones like Dear Esther and Gone Home. Can't say there are many games in my library(steam, and consoles) that I don't like. I guess I'd have to go with Pokemon: Battle Revolution at the worst, followed by Bioshock Infinite, then Assassins Creed 3(Wii U). At least, those are the ones I can think of.
modern warfare 3
the game that made me completely lose interest in the call of duty franchise
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon It took a great IP and ran it straight into the ground by ripping scenes directly from call of duty 4 and adding wholly unnecessary QTEs and bringing the series to "The Real World". Me and my friend who have both been diehard fans of the series since Ace Combat 3 played it the day it came out and were both laughing our asses off at how ridiculously bad and cliched the opening hour was and how casualized and QTE riddled the "combat" had become. I'm only thankful that I let him buy it first to test it as I was hesitant after Ace Combat 6 was merely acceptable after a series of 4 great games. As much as I love the series I hope it stays quiet for a while until some developers that are actually going to take care of the IP decide to work on it. Hopefully though, game is in development and should have all the potential of the original Ace Combats with the bonus of being on PC and having mod support.
Everything Telltale has made so far, and the original Sonic Games.
I can understand Season 2 of TWD or TWAU, but why Season 1 of TWD? or the Sam and Max games? they're pretty damn good. also season 1 had fucking perfect writing too
in all my games, CS:GO is one of the worst. I've seen so much bullshit from people saying "it's a good game!!!111!!1!1" and not saying why. Graphics: Okay Game-play: Too easy Players: ugh Maps: ya gotta fuckin pay for em, fuck that, considering it's $15. side notes: oh god, the game itself makes me effin sick. I had the game for 15 minutes and already got 8 kills. wtf.
[t]http://www.atari.com/sites/default/files/tdu2%20pcdvd_5.jpg[/t] Hands down the biggest disappointment ever. Way to take a great game and turn its successor into a steaming pile of shit.

Halo 4. Such an obvious money grab

I like this game. Sure, it had more than it's fair share of flaws, but any game that tells you "there's absolutely no wrong way to do this mission" gets points in my book. As for me, the worst game I've ever played would have to be The War Z. I still hate myself for actually spending money on that game...
Not horrible but one of the most underwhelming experiences of my life, and very forgettable.

Way to take a great game and turn its successor into a steaming pile of shit.
Don't even get me started on this game. They tried to shoehorn the MMO bullshit into this game so badly, even now I get lag when playing "single-player" because of the game's always online BS and the game is terribly optimised to boot. The story in this game is god-awful and forces you to play as some smug self obsessed asshole who hangs around which other smug self obsessed assholes. Also the DRM in this game is fucking awful, I almost had to buy the game twice because I hadn't played in so long since I bought it on account of it not working on release that Atari had deleted my account.
