Phone, wallet, pair of shitty apple earbuds, a piece of folded paper, and a pen. A real man never goes anywhere without his pen.
there has been so many times I have needed a pen and paper but carrying them is pain in the ass
there has been so many times I have needed a pen and paper but carrying them is pain in the ass
Plus you get to find out what the pen being clicked open does to your pockets when you put your pants in the wash. Totally worth it though because I use it for everything from actually writing shit to opening packages.
Ok i'm curious to the people who carry pistols with them Is it cause you just live in a really shit part of town where dodgy people live and something has happened to you in the past etc, or do you actually live in a decent part of town and you're just really fucking that paranoid you're going to get mugged or something. Seems sorta extreme to me honestly and this is coming from someone who lives in a really bad town with a lot of junkies that wouldn't be afraid to carry some sort of weapon around
I conceal carry because I figured it was completely within the realm of possibility that I'd have to use deadly force to defend my life one day. I don't live in Compton or anything, but my town has a herion issue all the same. And I did actually use my gun one night during a black out to scare off a guy who was trying to rob me. It's a long story, but I was waiting for someone to let me back into the store because I was doing a night watch until the power came back and they weren't waiting like they were supposed too, I always carry my gun every day so I had it in my waistband. Some guy saw me roll up and came over to me, asked me for the keys to the store, my car and than asked me some shit like 'Do you think you have an angel with you tonight?" I went under my coat and put my grip around the gun, shined my flashlight at him and started to issue verbal commands. It wasn't until he realized I was armed that he decided to finally leave. I mean, I called PD afterwards and they showed up in 30 minutes or so but had the guy decided to try to use a knife or firearm to extract my belongings I may have drawn on him. I never did draw, purely because he never took his hands out of his pockets and showed me a weapon. I never had to escalate it to brandishing. The possibility had been there though and you can bet I was glad I was armed that night. Also I'm a licensed Armed Security Guard in my state. So I figure I have just as much business carrying around a firearm as anyone else. I only show off what I have one the internet because you folks from the net aren't real. Otherwise no one at work or in my day-to-day knows I carry a firearm. It's concealed for a reason, no one has to know and no one can freak out about it if they're unaware. I also notice a lot of people in these threads who are horrified at the thought of people carrying handguns around to the movies and ask "Why do you do that?" are usually from other countries. Like Nerdrage in this thread rated my post 'dumb' and said he doesn't carry a gun because he doesn't live in the West. Obviously, he doesn't approve but he doesn't seem to grasp that firearms have been a part of American culture since our inception and have been readily available ever since. Criminals can easily buy illegal firearms, I know that for a fact and from experience. Since the likelyhood of a firearm being used in a crime in America is so much higher in my country it seems only natural that I, a law abiding person who works a full time job and pays his taxes should be allowed to get one too by applying for a carry-license (something that is a very involved process in my State and requires more Police scrutiny than I've ever been through my life to have it issued) to 'even the playing field' So, I get that it scares some people. But that's on you. I just don't want to be prevented from doing it and with the exceptions of the very few places forbidden by law I'll always be armed. It also does not bother me at all. You put the gun in a holster and leave the house as casually as you do your phone and forget all about it. It's not like I'm constantly hyperventilating and waiting for the next guy to come in the door to start shooting it up like the Wild West. But I do like to have more situational awareness than other people, which does a lot to keep you out of trouble. Also the likelyhood of being in the middle of an 'active shooter' is very unlikely, I recognize that. But if you want a real solution to the mass-shooting issue you can implement personally and quickly, it's getting a CCW license into the hands of as many responsible people as possible. Because gun laws are never going to stop someone from acquiring a firearm and doing what they're going to do if they're determined enough. These are people who plan and execute shootings that kill dozens of people, they don't care if they break the law to get their guns and most of the time they do because they've been forbidden otherwise from getting firearms, or because a lot of them are 'law abiding citizens' who show little to no sign of mental illness or indication they're spree-killers until the day they commit the crime. This isn't Minority Report, there is no way to stop these people half the time until they're already opening fire and the only way you do that is by shooting them.

Looking at this thread it's pretty nice to live in a country where you can walk 3 miles drunk off your ass and you don't have to worry about anyone mugging you, if anything people will most likely help you get home
Wallet, Phone, House Keys, Chef Knife, Chef Jacket, My favorite shitty ballcap, Thermos and/or thermal travel mug for my Coffee if it's morning.
My right pocket: phone, earbuds. My left pocket (on a school day): ballpoint pen, mechanical pencil, sharpie pen, eos lotion (I fully understand it's a "girl" thing but fuck you that container is the perfect size to put in a pocket and my hands get dry so I don't care), some gum, maybe my 3DS if the mood suits me. My left pocket (on a trip to the store): eos lotion, some gum, my totally sicknasty butterfly knife so I can trick myself into believing I have some form of protection from getting mugged.
oh that reminds me, I bring lip balm around during winter too

When in my home town, I mostly carry it out of habit.
I really don't like lugging around a bunch of junk with me, essentials only Glasses, pills, my phone, work phone, a huge wallet to compensate for the tiny amount of money that I actually earn and a ridiculous janitor-tier keychain. [t]http://chry.me/up/0r130.png[/t] Don't think I've ever not bought a bottle of water. Can't imagine having anything in my pockets though, would annoy me to death.

Your flag says UK. But judging from the fact it's an old ass A1 carbine, and there is a chamber flag in it tied off to what looks like the forward assist AND that looks an awful lot like an Israeli sling. I'm going to guess that's your rifle from when you were with the IDF or something? Am I way off?

Wallet, School ID, Drivers License, Phone, and Car Keys. Don't carry a whole lot, I leave stuff like hoodies and sunglasses in my car and take them out when I need them.
Phone, wallet, house keys, car keys, sunglasses.
Wallet, keys, phone. People say knives are a "useful utility item" in everyday life, but I've never found myself in a situation where I've actually needed one when going out.
there has been so many times I have needed a pen and paper but carrying them is pain in the ass
I've started carrying a ultrafine tip sharpie and a standard blue ink pen. Because goddammit I can't count how many times I've needed a writing implement and had none.
