Everyday Carry: What do you bring with you on your daily commutes?
Wallet, keys, phone.
People say knives are a "useful utility item" in everyday life, but I've never found myself in a situation where I've actually needed one when going out.
If you carry one, you'd be surprised at how many times you will use it in a week.
Wallet
Keys
Phone
flashlight
folding knife or multitool
gum
lip balm
I find it so bizarre that in a developed first world country people feel unsafe enough that they need to carry weapons to feel comfortable ("just in case")
Its such an alien concept
Half the time i don't even remember to take my phone with me
wallet, keys to car, keys to house, cellphone and sunglasses.

The knives I carry are more for utility purposes while I suppose I could use them offensively I would prefer to stay far the fuck away from a knife fight. as far as carrying a pistol for me it's less of a "just in case" and more of a it's happened before situation at this point it's just second nature my gun belt/holster stays on my jeans and my .45 lives in my work bag. Sure I'd like it if I didn't have to think about it but I do and I have the means to do so, so why not?

"Developed first world country" doesn't mean a goddamn thing lol. I mean if you live in a nice suburb somewhere I guess there's no point but there's bad cities and neighborhoods no matter where you live, even the U.K.
I find it bizarre that some governments don't even trust their citizens enough to carry a small pocket knife.
At the very least I keep a knife in my car incase I'm in an accident and I need to cut my seatbelt.

I've been mugged twice, I still don't feel the need to arm myself. But to each his own i guess. Keeping tools in the car certainly makes sense though
I live in a pretty good area, but I spend a lot of time in New Orleans, which has something like the 5th highest murder rate per capita of any city in the country. at any given point in new orleans you have something like a 1 in 100 chance of being assaulted in any way, including random assault, rape, robbery, or murder. having a gun cuts it down to near zero. When in my home town, I mostly carry it out of habit.
Whoever dumbed you clearly hasn't spent a good amount of time in NOLA. That city is a shining example of the violence issue we have in the US. As for knives, you really don't understand the utility until you carry one daily, I use it about every day for just about anything imaginable besides self defense. Because fuck getting into a knife fight, you can have my $40.

Anyways, my EDC. Gun was mainly for my old residence when I lived out in the middle of nowhere for defense against less human things. Haven't even gotten a carry permit for my new state. Knife has already explained, though I used to have a nice small Kershaw before I left it on the roof of a worksite. Gum is to not smoke and lighter is a great conversation starter.

I occasionally CC my makarov, usually its when I'm going on trips or taking a look at a car though, I don't take it everywhere all the time.
I don't really carry out of fear I don't think, I carry because when I'm alone it makes me feel super safe. Like I usually feel safe where I live and where I go, but I guess having my mak on me just gives me that extra layer of protection, like it just feels good to know that if in the very unlikely event that something goes awry that I've the final solution. There's nothing wrong wiht a blanket of protection, it's like keeping a food storage for bad weather or something, I probably wont need it but it's an extra layer, i never have to worry, not that I ever do.
my daily carry is just wallet, phone, keys though
I once carried a knife unsheathed in my pocket and it ripped a hole in it. I always forget about the rip and every time I put change in it it falls down my leg so I look like an idiot with quarters and dimes flying out of my pant leg as I walk trying to ignore it.
Thats the last time I ever carried a knife.
Wallet, Phone, Keys and Earphones. I sometimes carry a swiss army knife if I know I need to cut paper or something
Everything I ever take with me is my phone, keys, Swiss knife and wallet.
Wallet only really goes with me when going to college, and my Swiss knife when going to work, as we always lose our exacto knives there.
If I'm going to work then I take my tablet, telephone, keys and Money.
If I'm going on a night out then literally just keys and a debit card.
S7 Edge
JBL Synchros E10 earbuds
Moto 360 (1st gen, no reason to upgrade yet)
SOG Vulcan Mini pocketknife (I swear by VG-10 steel, best steel I've used to date. Easy to sharpen, holds an edge well versus paper, cardboard, tape, people, you name it.)
Wallet
Retina MacBook
Keys
