At least it gets a peaceful death rather than pulling a Simpsons.
I still like The Simpsons. :< Oh well, sad to see the show ending. At least it got a decent amount of episodes. Maybe now they'll release a complete series boxset.
those feels ): in the last episode
Zoidberg sad. :( That last episode was great :zoid:
Something that may have been intentional: After the big finale, Comedy Central played the Pilot episode to the entire series I'm not gonna spoil the ending for those who haven't watched it yet but to those who do know what happens, maybe you know what I'm talking about Eh, I'll ask Matt next year at Comic Con.

But didn't the Professor say that it would take them to the instant before he created the time button?[/sp]
[sp]So they are taken back to before the time button was concieved, but they will forget everything that happened. So until some interveining force kicks in, it seems that the Futurama universe will forever be in a time loop between the creation of the button and the end of the episode where everything was reversed.[/sp] How morbid.
The episode made me cry and honestly this seems like what bender's letter meant.
:(
Anyone catch the moon rover in the crater from the beginning of the series?
I would like them to do the movie OVA thing they did last time instead if there going to make more.
[sp]That would honestly be a neat twist if it was intentional. But didn't the Professor say that it would take them to the instant before he created the time button?[/sp]
Yeah, he did. [sp]Specifically, he says "the instant before I conceived the time button". I don't think there's any kind of reference to the beginning of whole series, so the portion of history actually repeating itself would be "only" what we see happening during this episode. Anyway, shouldn't time travel theory tell us they're gonna go back in time the way they are, aged and all? Why does the professor say they wouldn't remember anything of what happened?[/sp]
Fuck... I thought the ending was a bit soppy at first, but it's grown on me, especially now that the post-finale blues are hitting :(
I actually feel happy. It was a perfect way to end it. I didn't want to, but all things must end eventually.
Just wondering but [sp] was it stated anywhere when the Prof conceived the time button and also by conceived did he mean when he made the button or when he thought of it? I like to think that he made it or thought of it just before the year 300, that way the series loops on itself. Makes Fry's "Wanna go round again" make more sense to me[/sp] But hey, that's just the thoughts of a guy who's already started getting his weekend drunk on.
I absolutely loved the last episode, but I want to rant about something real quick. I feel like they really ruined Bender as a character, with him either being a walking punchline, stealing kidneys, committing crime and what not, or him being an overly-emotional baby. There hasn't been a good Bender-centered episode since it originally got cancelled.
i just got done watching the final episode i haven't watched any of the other new ones and stopped last year after they were all fucking terrible (imo!!) but 10/10. i may have shed tears.

What a shame.
I think the writers forgot that bender is a robot.
After watching the finale, I just mute the TV and just sat there thinking wow it's finally over, this is the last episode ever. I can't not remember always watching Futurama, I remember watching it during it's original run. But alas all good things must end sadly. I did like the finale a lot, espically the silent piano monologue just like with the recent benders ass episode. I like how they set it up so if it ever happened to get renewed again, they could work off of [sp]if time were never frozen[/sp] but it was also pretty definitively written as a finale, like how just about every character got a little screen time at the end so we could all kinda say goodbye and how there were so many refrences and hints to the first episodes. Overall I loved it and while I'm very sad to see a great series end, it couldn't have ended better.

:(
:'( It's hard to see a show we likes, end. It's very hard to see a show we loves, and watched since we were 8, ends.
Oh god. I recently decided to watch the rest of the episodes I haven't seen. I just watched Game of Tones. [sp]This was the saddest thing I have watched in a long time. I'm uncontrollably crying as I write this. Oh my god, this show.[/sp] EDIT: There we go, the last episode. Fantastic. [sp]I loved the ending. I was worried for a bit that the episode would end with time still frozen, but I am quite glad that it didn't. This was a terrific ending. Now I need to buy the complete series boxset whenever it comes out.[/sp]
Hmm, I stopped watching at 6x14 when all the meta crap was getting too strong for my liking. Still want to finish watching the show though, looks like I've got a LOT of catching up to do.

Why does the professor say they wouldn't remember anything of what happened?[/sp]
they aren't going back in time, the button is. or the button is creating a second universe everytime it is activated where the button and the holder of the button are transported to it, a universe that is 10 seconds behind the prime universe, sort of like how the forwards time machine ended up in a universe 10 feet higher than prime's. so the button is going back in time but actually goes to another universe where time flows forwards, and if one imagines that the professor in that universe doesn't perceive of the button he wouldn't ever use the button if he even found it in this new universe [editline]14th September 2013[/editline] i hope they do have more movies though in the future and they just start from some point before fry and leela became too romanically attatched
they aren't going back in time, the button is. or the button is creating a second universe everytime it is activated where the button and the holder of the button are transported to it, a universe that is 10 seconds behind the prime universe
uh do you have a source on this
IDK, I interpreted that they wouldn't remember the romantic thing after this (better not be the) last one. Whatever the science to the button, my guess is continuing would need not look back too much on the button ordeal. I do feel sort of ripped off about Bender's lack of final word at the end. You heard the bot. If CC is going to do away with Futurama, than Bender will just have to be part of another show's fandom. And yes, fim fans, you may have heard Bender say this before, but those seriously into Futurama but strongly opposing MLP likewise didn't.
I just stumbled upon this Made me almost teary when I started recalling things. One of the truly beautiful moments in Futurama. Almost forgot how Futurama could be very, very powerful at its best.
In the Simpsons Tree House of Horror the Hypnotoad was-ALL GORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD
I don't know if this is a bad bump, but the final season is on Netflix, at least in the US, and I just finished it.
