When my mum was there she said the high priests drunk a TON of alcohol. This was like 30 years ago.
I'm afraid I've never heard such a thing.
Is Egypt really a shitty place to live?
Well, you can go outside comfortably during the day, so that's a plus. But Mosquitoes WILL rape you . And Public Services are shit. (Taxis, Buses, Streets, Lights, etc.)
Wow, that sucks. According to this map, I live in an internet blackhole. Fucking awesome.
BRB moving to Somalia now. Also, I bet OP downloads porn from megaupload.
Most of africa has no censorship because they got no internet.
BRB moving to Somalia now. Also, I bet OP downloads porn from megaupload.
Looks like SOMEONE hadn't read the OP.
Looks like SOMEONE hadn't read the OP.
Yeah, I know, I read it before. But I bet you don't know you can download porn from megaupload.
Well I don't care about porn, I use Megaupload to umm . . . download files that are perfectly legal. :downs:
Incest lover. :barf: I doubt it though, it's an Islamic nation.
Nah, it's just from what I've heard, the whole multiple wives thing makes it so almost everyone is related.
Nah, it's just from what I've heard, the whole multiple wives thing makes it so almost everyone is related.
Nobody has multiple wives. Except them Bedouins. (The guys who live in a tent) But that's just culture.
Nobody has multiple wives. Except them Bedouins. (The guys who live in a tent) But that's just culture.
What are you doing on your com, you are suppose to be celebrating
Do you think Saudi Arabia censors megaupload because of piracy? Like they give a shit if a Western artist gets his movie stolen. Remove every avenue of dissent.
whoa rant
Like I said. Move.
The USA does censor websites. Like child pornography, or things that are illegal.
Well, it's extremely low censorship. You can pretty much do whatever the fuck you want on American internet.
Most of africa has no censorship because they got no internet.
:cawg: [editline]10:54PM[/editline] Also, this:
Well, it's extremely low censorship. You can pretty much do whatever the fuck you want on American internet.
Whats Tor?
Whats Tor?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_(anonymity_network)
It's really like one big invite-only party. You got america sitting off in the corner shunned by the rest of the guests, and then you have amsterdam selling blunts in the ally, and england and scotland are being thrown out after getting shitfaced and starting a fight.
And Canada is the hit of the party because we brought the best beer. Also, we're hitting on the Swedish chicks.
You still have relative free speech don't you? Contact the local government representative about it. [editline]12:56AM[/editline]
Freedom of speech and the press are restricted to forbid criticism of the government or endorsement of un-Islamic values. Trade unions and political organizations are banned. Public demonstrations are forbidden. The Saudi Government is an active censor of Internet reception within its borders.[27] Recently the internet has become a tool for dissent, however the arrest of prominent Saudi blogger and reformist Fouad al-Farhan has been seen as somewhat of a crackdown on online dissent. Fouad al-Farhan had been jailed in solitary confinement since December, 2007, without charges, after criticizing Saudi religious, business and media figures.[28] He was released on April 26, 2008.[29] Political parties are banned, but some political dissidents were freed in the 1990s on the condition that they disband their political organizations. Only the Green Party of Saudi Arabia remains, although it is an illegal organization. The 1990s marked a slow period of political liberalization in the kingdom as the government created a written constitution, and the advisory Consultative Council, the latter being an appointed delegation of Saudi scholars and professionals that are allowed to advise the king.
Nevermind then...... *tries not speak about how idiotic Saudi Arabian law sounds*
free speech in Saudi Arabia
:cawg: [editline]12:59AM[/editline] Oh, oops u updated ur post
Seriously it sounds like a fucking dictatorship.
Seriously it sounds like a fucking dictatorship.
That's because it is.
the Saudi government is the seventh most authoritarian regime from among the 167 countries rated.
:barf: Have fun with your government OP..... while you still can :commissar:
I bypassed Turkey's censorship simply by setting up OpenDNS. Simple, and no programs needed.
It's blocked.
Here, I uploaded it for you: http://77.92.94.42/HSS-1.30-install-anchorfree-76-conduit.exe In case it's down: http://ifile.it/c8f4u0e (ifile.it is probably blocked too, so you might have to use Tor to get it) However, the HotspotShield servers themselves might be blocked.
Ah, i thought you were just living there, not practicing the common religion. I know Islam is a dry faith, which is why i thought SA was dry.
That's what he said. Because Islam is dry, SA is dry.
No, I did answer, a few posts up. My parents found good jobs here.
Your parents could've moved to a western country. There's no way I'd live in an authoritarian state, even if I couldn't get any job otherwise. [editline]08:40AM[/editline]
Howdy neighbour. I am from bahrain :) you know across the causeway. We got censorship too woo high five -.- This topic rages me inside so much that i can't put it all out here so here is a pic of how our sites blocked pages look like :crying:

I'm in China. They've blocked megaupload, imageshack, all nudity, most news websites, and shitloads of other stuff. They even block certain images on google image search. I would download tor but they blocked that website to. It sucks balls.
Why do you guys even live there?
I'd host a Tor node if I didn't think people were gonna be dicks and use it for CP. Does anyone know if Iranians have access to Tor traffic?
I always wanted to host a Tor node just to be able to make a nice pie chart of what it is used for.
Your parents could've moved to a western country. There's no way I'd live in an authoritarian state, even if I couldn't get any job otherwise.
Dude, I've spent most of my life in Canada. Over here, "Western" people are usually preferred for important jobs because they "know their shit". So it was alot easier for my parents to climb to the top here than in Canada. So we're just staying here temporarily (Maybe another year) then we're going back.
So we're just staying here temporarily (Maybe another year) then we're going back.
Have fun living in hell for another year.
I never complain when I'm in Saudi Arabia. I just accept those site blocks are there and bypass them using proxies and that's that.. Also I've HEARD (not sure) that Orbit doesn't block anything.
That map is wrong Canada needs to be blue, checked wikipedia.
also apparently countries that block child porn are bad... the fuck?
also apparently countries that block child porn are bad... the fuck?
They shouldn't censor the internet, they should work on getting the servers shut down. That way they already get censorship infrastructure which could be used for worse.
I think the real joke is that you live in Saudi Arabia
