you do realize car windows are a lot more resilient than your average human being right
I'm making the assumption that The Intruder is strong enough to punch through a car window, or else you would be able to escape him by just hiding in the car and the game would basically be over.

Instead of finding supplies you should be able to lift a bunch of weights for a few days and when the finale starts you should be able to bodyslam the intruder WWE style Pres R to remember hulk hogan techniques
Reloading memory.
Instead of finding supplies you should be able to lift a bunch of weights for a few days and when the finale starts you should be able to bodyslam the intruder WWE style Pres R to remember hulk hogan techniques
But what about R to reload your "guns."
Weapons should be a butcher knife, a revolver and a shotgun. A knife is quick to wield and you can cut ropes with it, mighty be handy. A revolver and a shotgun both have manual loading, which could be good. You could make revolving more of a manual type thing, like you hold a button to swap between holding the revolver and getting it ready to reload- revolver to side, barrel dropped out. To reload it, you drag bullets into the chambers and you can spin the barrel with your mouse if you want to move to the next chamber or to spin it for shits and giggles. Doing this with the shotgun would move the shotgun to the side, the underside showing so you can manually slide shells into it. The good thing with this is that, if some shit is happening then loading will be worse because your mouse will be shaking and you'll be trying to get away, reloading would mean you need to be in cover. Moving could make the shells/bullets shakier, too.
I hope this is scarier then Slender. After the 3-4th playthrough of Slender you were pretty much burnt out on it, knowing to never look back.

How did this game not get Greenlit immediately? [editline]11th September 2012[/editline] Do not listen to this with volume up!!!
just because you have scrawny nerd arms that can't smash a window doesn't mean the intruder will
Car windows are built to withstand damage. Go try and punch out a car window and lets see how it goes.
just because you have scrawny nerd arms that can't smash a window doesn't mean the intruder will
car windows are actually a lot stronger than you'd think, but I'm still willing to bet any monster worth being called an "Intruder" would be able to smash one.
He is most likely strong enough to rip the door off and start grabbing you.
he shouldn't be able to smash it in, but locking yourself in is just confirmed dying because he'll get you anyway you're just delaying the inevitable
not letting him get in seems pretty unnecessary to me. I mean, if it's confirmed dying as you say, why not just have him bust open the window and kill you rather than just fade to black or wait for you to kill yourself doing something stupid?
Apparently ten games have been selected to be the first to get Greenlit. They picked the top ten (somehow excluding Slender: Source, which was #2), which means The Intruder might get picked up during the next wave, or maybe the one after that (it's currently #23). I'm not getting my hopes up just yet, but it seems possible to get Greenlit now.

I think it might be because it's not finished or near finished, not a ton of media on it etc. All the other mods are either already released or coming soon. I'm guessing Valve wanted a nice selection of ten popular, finished, (or near-finished) games that are to be put up soon just as a proof of concept of the greenlight system.
I'm a bit confused? Does Steam greenlight the top ten every week or was that a one off?
slender part 2: where is I
This isn't a fighting game I'm pretty sure. Isn't the entire point of the game is trying to find your ONE gun?
There is one gun that's guaranteed to be in the game, and that's the revolver. I mentioned this on the Greenlight page, but I intend for there to be other weapons as well with distinct properties and difficulty to attain. On one end of the spectrum there could be easily acquired, ineffective weapons and on the other end there could be hard to acquire, highly effective weapons with scarce ammo. This might include other guns as well, but it's a delicate issue. I need to do playtesting to see what weapons there should be and how hard it should be to get them. If it's too complicated or unbalanced I'll stick with having only one type of gun.

Or are you going to have it respawn in different preset locations each playthrough? I don't want to have immediate access to it by finding it in the toilet or something every time, if you know what I mean.
You know I can't get over how funny the title you chose for this is. I mean when I look at this concept, I don't go "heck yeah, continuous time, baby!"

Their exact location should still be random.
You know I can't get over how funny the title you chose for this is. I mean when I look at this concept, I don't go "heck yeah, continuous time, baby!"
Really? I think the continuous time thing is what sets this game apart most. The only game I remember having that as well is Majora's Mask. What do you think would be a better title? I can still change it, right?

I suppose I just found it funny because I didn't really think it was the standout feature - but now that I think about it does seem to be the crux of the whole game. So I can't really think of a better title. I thought you could only change the title for up to a day after you've posted the topic or something - but I dunno. And by the way I admire your originality in this project. It's just so nifty and it's quite amazing and you're amazing. All the best with this whole Greenlight thing!
Their exact location should still be random.
I love you [sp] full homo [/sp]
I'm a bit confused? Does Steam greenlight the top ten every week or was that a one off?
here's how I think it works: basically, if Valve see a game they like, they greenlight it. being in the top ten just means that they'll see it first, so if they like what they see they'll definitely add it. they don't have to add a game that's in the top ten if they don't think it works or it needs to be on Steam. so yeah, here's hoping Valve likes this game. I'm sure they will.
