You'll be able to mod everything back to the way it is right now. The reason I made all those proxies is so the day/night cycle can be visualized which ever way you want it to. The materials in question are even commented. I'm really trying to keep future modders in mind.

I was watching a movie last night and began to think about the aspect of the intruder being attracted or scared by light. What if it was like a coin toss? Sometimes the intruder is afraid of the light and tries to avoid it at all cost. Sometimes the intruder will be attracted by the light and having the lights on will doom you. I think that 50/50 chance will scare some people. Should I keep a light on or should I be in darkness? Will pointing a light at the intruder piss it off or scare it away momentarily?

Evening Mister Royzo. Been following The Intruder for a while on Greenlight, congratulations on the successful submission! I also really like how you aren't revealing a ton of game mechanics, especially related to the Intruder itself, to keep the spooky level high. I'm just curious to hear how far in you are, if just an estimate. Can we expect it before the end of the year you think? I also realize pricing is something you can't reveal yet, but is there a target price you have in mind that you are shooting for? How much in the way of content can we expect, a confirmed map number, that sort of thing? I'm dying to play the game and I've been linking everyone I know to the greenlight page (before it was greenlit, to get a few more votes in there). Very excited for it.

I'm going to defer to them in choosing the actual figure. I intend for it to be around the lower bound you provided. I'm targeting a 2013 release, which is intentionally vague because Valve wanted to know everyone's intended release date for their own planning, while I'm really going for more of a 'when it's done' approach. But they said that was fine. [i]Right[/i] now I'm doing lots of paperwork which mostly includes getting a Source Engine license and filing tax returns. I'm trying to squeeze in as much actual game development as I can. I'm quite pleased with the day/night cycle, but I don't have a sufficiently pretty and polished outside environment yet to show it off. Moreover, I'd like to get my hands on a Source Engine license first so I can actually have dynamic lighting, which should make it look significantly better. There is going to be a small free roaming overworld, which works by connecting several maps on a grid. How much of these I make is as of yet undetermined, but I do have a target number. If it's too much to handle I'll make fewer, and if it goes great I'll make some more. Thanks for supporting The Intruder. I hope I've answered some of your questions. That was intentional though; I once saw a picture of a Shaq OSX theme where all the icons had been replaced by his face, and I tried to use that same photo of him. The design was going to change anyway because it was just a placeholder, but now I'm deliberately going for something more original and memorable to avoid further confusion. I have a pretty solid idea of what I want it to look like now. It's inspired by something that frightened me once, something that caught me off guard. I keep remembering it every so often. I hope I can evoke the same response in players.
If you're going for multiple possible intruders at some point, as adding new possible intruders to the game as time goes on could expand the games lifetime by a damn lot.
