Is it possible to meet physical manifestations of parts of yourself in your dreams?
A couple times actually. K split into all the different parts of my subconscious, making eight of them, counting the non-sub character of K, nine. They all had different names, but I didn't meet them all. One was a smart-looking guy named logic. Another was a buff shirtless guy who yells things at the others, named instinct. Logic pretty much is the leader of the group, even though logic is more in the conscious than the subconscious.
I dreamt last night that I married into the British royal family and I was walking about everywhere shaking hands with people saying "Hello i'm prince Robert" Then I shagged Kate Middleton. Nah I didn't really. But I wish I had. [editline]24th March 2012[/editline]
A couple times actually. Anyways, I had a dream last night about a mad scientist hell-bent on controlling the world, so he created a creature, that was pretty much a sentient cloud. The cloud could grow in size and travel quickly to be anywhere on the earth. It could shoot lightning at a target and manipulate weather systems. Due to this not being powerful enough to take over the world, he created a second creature. This one he built on a space station, then dropped it to earth on a rocket. I was part of the team dispatched to stop it from getting the earth. After we got to the crash site, there was nothing there but a hole in the ground. The creature dug itself into the ground, then grew for a year. after a year or so, it was big enough that it had tentacles spread all across the earth, underground. The center of the creature was near the core, as it fed off heat. It could communicate with people on the surface through the tentacles, each one had an eye, a mouth, and some sort of hearing organ. The tentacles were green and spiky, and at the tip, they formed into a hook. This hook could shoot up and kill people in an instant. So, the mad scientist continued to use the creature to kill people and break up the centralized governments of the world. Before he could take over, however, he died from some sort of complication of being a really old guy alone on a space station. The creature, without a master, gained sentience and just kind of went about its own way. I met the creature and we became good friends. He saved my life, and in return, he needed my help to get some revenge on a corrupt mayor and his sherrifs (apparently, the mad scientist made this creature out of a random recently dead guy, so he later remembered his previous life) We got revenge, and became the best of pals in a world without government, where the people in charge are the people with the biggest guns.

I hardly ever remember anything about mine
Did you guys, by the way, understand how you see weird shit in mirrors while dreaming? I just noticed, thar, long before checking inside the topic about bullshit in the mirror, i didnt have any effects in my dream. After reading, tho, one time i saw myself colored in blood and another time dead in the coffin while wearing suit. Its like with antisub - the moment you read about it, it will be there.
I had a dream that there was a computer virus that made your computer unusable, but there were these weird 7-segment displays that popped out of the ground, and if you could figure out the relation between them the virus would explode. This was another interesting instance of text not changing when I look away and back. It took me a while but I figured out that the right display was the left display times 3. The left said 7777 and the right said 212121, and I'm not sure how I was able to do math in a dream :v:
well, your math wasn't right it should be 23331 (or 21212121 with an extra 21 if each digit is multiplied by 3)
Is there any way to wake up from a lucid dream purposefully? For me, I try to think about waking up and nothing happens. It just happens randomly.
How the fuck are your dreams so detailed? I hardly ever remember anything about mine
I usually dont remember shit, but every saturday morning I sleep until 12 and I have 2 or 3 amazing awesome detailed dreams, and I wake up after each one. When I wake up, I have a choice. I can either go back to sleep and have another one, but at the cost of forgetting most of the previous one, or I can write it down and not be able to fall right back into REM sleep instantly.
Going to bed now. Wish me luck on dreams
Still have yet to be able to get people to talk to me in my dreams. It's the weirdest thing, even if I throw someone down some stairs, they just ignore me and walk away uninjured.
well, your math wasn't right it should be 23331 (or 21212121 with an extra 21 if each digit is multiplied by 3)
It was more of the fact that the left was 7s, and the right was 21s
I can't seem to remember conversations for the life of me. I write down what it was about but can't remember exact quotes.
I once had a dream where I solved crimes with Black Rock Shooter. Can't remember anything else. [editline]25th March 2012[/editline] Also I fucking hate when you have a dream in a dream. Always scares the shit outta me when I wake up.
Last night I had a dream that I and about 5 of my friends (I can't remember exactly how many friends or who they even were, or in fact if they really exist) were walking through a very large building, it was over growing with trees and plants, and there were various areas we couldn't walk through due to the roof collapsing. Anyway to cut a long story short the group of us came across us, as in all 6 of us saw a group of 6 people that were all us, however they were different. Like they had come from a different dimension for example one of my friends was weak and nerdy and the other group had a strong muscled counterpart of him. However the most striking difference was my counter part for you see my counter part was a female. All I can remember about her was that I knew she was me as soon as I looked at her even though we didn't look very much alike for example she was quite attractive and also had long red hair. Furthermore she had a great deal more confidence than me and decided to strike up a conversation with me, I cant remember what the conversation entailed over than her telling my name and asking for me to add her on facebook. I can't remember much from after that other than I was wondering to myself that if we had a child would it be exactly the same as one us as we have the same DNA and it would therefore be a clone. T'was a pretty cash dream.
The one time I had a lucid dream was during a ten hour car trip, and I somehow managed to get to sleep. What resulted was sitting alone in the back of a car that was perpetually both moving towards the corner to my house and not moving at all. There was for some reason a billboard at the end of the road, and the only show of my god powers was changing the picture on it repeatedly by ducking in and out of vision of it. Still pretty awesome.
Try having sex. [editline]24th March 2012[/editline] In the dream.
So...I can't have sex in my dreams? I knew it was too good to be true.
Gonna try to get into one again tonight!
So...I can't have sex in my dreams? I knew it was too good to be true.
I heard that you can but it takes a great deal of experience to not just wake up right as you get to the good part.
I haven't had any remeberable dreams for a while now, anyone know why?
I haven't had any remeberable dreams for a while now, anyone know why?
Try eating bananas. I think the potassium helps with dream recall. Also, always record your dreams right as you wake up, think of it as "training" your recall.
When I sleep I don't dream 85% of the time, but when I do I have hot sex and killing. Mostly hot, sweaty, passionate sex.
So...I can't have sex in my dreams? I knew it was too good to be true.
Anything is possible. Most of the your restrictions are the ones you place on yourself. Go sleep and do whatever the fuck you want.
So I had my second ever lucid dream last night, and it was significantly longer than my first. It was a one of those dreams where you wake up in it, and I remember waking up and instead of it being my room it was like a living room or rec room that I don't have. My friend and his girlfriend were sitting on recliner chairs at the far end of the room that I don't have watching a blank flat screen tv I don't own. I came up and started talking to them like I normally would and I don't remember much of this part of the dream, but when shit got real was when I went through a doorway and into a hallway with a few rooms that only exists in this dream. I started to realize this shit wasn't real when I entered a room at the end of the hallway, and I remember everything that happened at this point and onward like they're memories from a real event. I entered this room and it was relatively plain, not unlike my real room. Painted light blue and there were some elder scrolls shit on the walls and other game related bullshittery spread around the room. What finally set off the "oh fuck this is a dream" alarm bells was this brand new xbox with kinect and the works plugged into a bigass 50 inch or so tv (again none of which I own) sitting in the corner on a entertainment stand. I looked at the xbox and noticed that the power button wasn't that of the normal power logo, but a swirling arrow. At that point I'm trying to convince myself that I'm in a dream and nothing here is real. I was incredibly excited and the first thing I did was go for a candle that was lit on a nightstand that funny enough wasn't there before. I told myself "I'm going to wake myself up by touching the flame, it has to work". As I went for the flame though it turned into wax, and as I pinched at it the wax just formed around as if it was wet, but it wasn't hot. At that point I was 100% convinced it was a dream. So I come running out of this room and into the hall to go and tell my friend and his girlfriend that it's all a dream. As I came out his girlfriend was already standing at the doorway waiting for me, so I moved her aside telling her that I needed to tell my friend something. I get to the couch and he looks up at me asking what's up, so I told him "We're in a fucking dream man, look at this shit, none of it is real! It's amazing!". His girlfriend didn't like this, at all. She started screaming at me but I can't remember what she was yelling, but I remember exchanging some words trying to convince her. The longer we argued the more distorted her face looked, not in a scary way, but her nose was getting bigger and her features were becoming less defined, which amused me to the point of saying "look, the more I say it's a dream the more ugly you get!". Right then and there she came at me and I woke up, but this time for real, completely fucking stunned and amazed that I finally had a nice long lucid dream. Other things that I've come to some conclusions on after reflecting about it when I woke up is that none of the TVs were on, despite my friends watching one, there wasn't a single window, I never noticed any clocks or other time related devices, some things appeared and reappeared depending on where I was at (the night stand with the candle for example), and after my revelation my friends became increasingly hostile towards me. [editline]26th March 2012[/editline] Also the entire time after I realized I was in a dream it felt like I was gradually slipping back into it. Like the time I spent lucid was akin to coming up for air after being underwater, but then slowly sinking under again.
My dreams are sometimes really disgusting, like one of the most recent ones I had was that I was sucking an earth worm out of a girls vagina
So...I can't have sex in my dreams? I knew it was too good to be true.
The first and only time I had a lucid dream, I had sex. I was in a tower and had two girls in front of me. I started to fuck one of them, but suddenly my dick went from hard, to not so hard... :suicide: I still tried but it got boring and the dream faded away.
I haven't had any remeberable dreams for a while now, anyone know why?
It really depends on the dream and your diet. Like timman said, eat bananas, and btw, it's not the potassium that helps, it's the vitamin b6 which improves recall. Just try to avoid taking in too much vitamin b6 to avoid messing up your nervous system. As for the dream, I've noticed, in the last few days, that my dreams before were dull and simple, and were just not worth noting down, but then I realised, my recall soars when I had dreams that were personal or interesting to me. It was not the first time, but it's just another observation. Dreams that have an impact on you are the most memorable because you think about them after you wake up, which is one of the keys to dream recall. As of recently, I've had two consecutive dreams over two nights about the same girl (lets call her D). She's there, and I just happen to be there as well. Without a thought before that, I just bump into her, nothing close. Before the first dream of her, I dreamt about another girl (I'll call her omelette :3), not sure what happened, but D tends to remind me of omelette, her appearance and her behaviour (some what) mostly, but I don't know, it seems now that omelette reminds me of D (before this, I always referred D irl as omelette by slip of the thought's tongue, good thing I never called her omelette outside of my thoughts) now that I've been in contact with her again. It just seems very messed up to me. I'm hoping in my next dream, I'll be able to record it and well... See what there is to see. Oh, also get a dream journal, it does wonders.
goddammit garry stop moving threads around i thought this thread was gone because I couldn't find it in the old section that no longer exists [editline]26th March 2012[/editline]
So...I can't have sex in my dreams? I knew it was too good to be true.
You can do whatever you want. The only problem with having sex in a dream is that it tends to stimulate your body (:v:) even if it's a dream so usually when you uh...finish...it wakes you up. It's hard not to have that happen, even for me. Can't fight your body. I mean, you CAN, but just know that it'll end your LD. Sometimes it's worth it, dream sex is way better than normal sex. although i'd rather have normal sex :( [editline]26th March 2012[/editline]
Try eating bananas. I think the potassium helps with dream recall. Also, always record your dreams right as you wake up, think of it as "training" your recall.
It's not the potassium, although that's useful. Bananas are like full of assorted B vitamins, most of which (6, 8, 12) are great for recall and general brain function. So's peanut butter, which leads me to my usual food suggestion: so goddamn good, it's my usual before bed snack. Usually I just use one piece of bread though. Alternatively you can mildly toast it, it makes it tasty too. And yes, dream journals are super important. i can't stop pointing that out but no one seems to remember. :( did no one read the OP again
