Well, I had a lucid dream last night, but I'm having an issue. After a few minutes of being lucid, the dream's progression ends up being more interesting than doing what I want, so I just let myself stop being lucid and let the dream do stuff for me, then in the morning I realize so many awesome things I could have done. How can I keep myself from being distracted like this?

It's kind of hard to explain, but basically pretend the dream is a river. what you WANT to do is swim upstream, but until you're super muscley and experienced, that's going to be hard to do. Instead, just go with the flow and float where the river/dream takes you. While you're in the dream (but still lucid), try to mess with simple things like gravity. Jump really high, try to float, etc.
dream sex is way better than normal sex.
Oooooohhh yeah. Impossible things are suddenly possible. ...And when I think about it while Im awake, it seems a little disgusting. Heh, fuck it, I aint complaining.
Had a lucid dream last night. I was walking on a really grassy hill, kind of like the one you can have as a default wallpaper in Windows XP. I realized I was dreaming right away because there are no hilly areas where I live. I started to run really fast, "swimming" through the ground, and pretty much doing whatever I felt like doing. When I got back to ground level, I saw a tornado starting to form. What the hell, I never imagined that. I try to un-imagine it but it still kept moving across the field. I got pretty freaked out since I couldn't control my own dream anymore, and I woke myself up. I think my subconscious (or placebo-ish anti-sub) was fucking with me or something.
I had a weird dream where the northern hemisphere of Earth was slowly being engulfed in flames, but I escaped and went to an island with Monday Night Combat characters on it. That's a vague description though, it was actually really creepy and I woke up sweating...
I had a lucid dream where it was my birthday or something and I had a party with all my friends. One of my buddies says to me "I've got a surprise for you" and I see the girl I liked when I was in school. Since this still feels very real for me I'm kind of shy when speaking to her, But when I did we really hit it off. I loved every second I had with her, She started hugging me and gave me a kiss on the cheek, Then gave me a look that she was in love with me. Since I knew this wouldn't last forever I kissed her dead on her soft lips, I felt her smile when we contacted..Then.....I woke up. I woke up like if i never slept at all, No grogginess or anything. I was just sad the rest of the day, Sad that I probably wont get another amazing moment like that for a long time.
I had a dream last night in which I was comforting a girl I know after something horrible had happened to her. I don't even really remember what it was, other than it was incredibly, outlandishly bad. I realized I liked hugging her, but then Legion walked up to me - wearing a trench coat I might add - and said in that strange voice of his "You wish this tragedy on another organic for your own ends? We may never understand you." Then I woke up before I could explain myself. I had that 'what-the-fuck' feeling all day.
I always have trouble reading things in the really vivid dreams (lucid dreams? not sure), whenever I concentrate on something too much I end up waking up.
I slept for 6 hours then went back to sleep. Then I allmost had a dream where I got into a threesome with two hot chicks. But like the usual in dreams, that's when my alarm clock went off.
Fuck man, I still can't get this lucid dreaming stuff down. I usually don't remember my dreams or end up waking up. Any help?
Finally I had a dream for the first time in like a week or so. I was driving in a car and it was a pretty stormy day. I was on the highway and I look up at the sky. There were like funnel clouds everywhere. Not tornadoes, just lots and lots of funnel clouds.
Fuck man, I still can't get this lucid dreaming stuff down. I usually don't remember my dreams or end up waking up. Any help?
It's not something you can just pick up overnight, it takes time. A lot of time. Focus on just making a dream journal, your recall will improve over time. I'm talking like...months. Hell, I've kept them for years. Nowadays I usually don't write stuff down, but I'll still record dream signs/things that have happened in previous dreams. Patterns like that are a good way to realize you're dreaming.
I had a dream last night where I was in a movie. Morgan Freeman was an old poor man living in a shack with his wife. I just got out of prison and went to stay with them for a while. Then I got involved with his extended family, apparently he is related to a bunch of other celebrities. We went canoeing down a giant waterfall and Adam Sandler got stalked by what could only be described as little furry marshmallow peeps, horror flick style. "This summer, the comedy movie event the whole family will enjoy", I heard K saying as I woke up.
Been a while since I've posted, are people still trying to get Zin to translate scribbles? Anyway, Last night I had a dream I was on an airship filled with pokemon players for some reason (don't know why, I haven't played the game or seen the show in ages), got blown off the side and had to crawl around to the backside to try to enter through a hatch, I run into two twins who I know who say they'll let me in, but they need the 'password', of course this is basically a joke because there is no password but I'm sensing impending death so I tell them to fuck themselves and open the hatch and they do while complaining, after that it's unclear but it's all good since I've been trying to build my dream recall back up lately again.
I had a pretty cool dream for the first time in weeks. It started out with an A-10 Warthog crashing into the mountains that I live next to. Then I started a journey to the wreckage, with loads of people coming after me (think Call of Cthulhu). I met up with some other people that were going to the wreck, so we decided to team up. I ended up fighting some big, hairy, red rhino and killing it with the machete I made (pic related), then we sang the anthem of the Rhodesian African Rifles (video related). We never made it to the wreckage. Had a dream last night that I was a magical repairman. Others had to use ladders but I could just fly up to easily switch broken lightbulbs. Business was good.
It's the weekend, time to give this another go.
Spring break, hopefully I get lots of sleep in and lucids.
Had 3 sleep paralysis in a row a few nights ago. Scared of sleeping now. What do
Had 3 sleep paralysis in a row a few nights ago. Scared of sleeping now. What do
ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH
Had 3 sleep paralysis in a row a few nights ago. Scared of sleeping now. What do
I had five last night, one resulted in a WILD but the rest failed and resulted in waking up. The only creepy thing was a shadow figure with a face that floated in my room in the fifth SP but it didn't bother me much. You get used to them.
had a ton of awesome dreams last night i also had a repeat of last night where i was laying in bed lucid and i could tell i was dreaming, but i couldnt really do much. it wasnt sleep paralysis exactly, but every time i tried to move i felt myself waking up
Has anyone got any other tips to improve recall besides Dream Journals and bananas?
I had a dream last night that I was with someone else and we were in an Inception-like dream share. We went through my high school from about 4 years ago. We saw past versions of my friends, then the dream went into seemingly unconnected parts. It ended with me in some sort of alternate dimension at my house with my parents who looked slightly different; they had no clue who I was too. I really need to work on reality checks when school is brought up. I found my old dream journal, figured this would amuse some folks
Was going to trial didnt know charges got locked up by [REDACTED] in a new jail area in jail, escaped by my friend getting the cuffs off cop said im in jail for "a to z" get to trial, its a shitload of traffic violations people still think im guilty but i dont even drive lol so i prove my innocence, or rather, the other people finally give up and stop trying to persecute me i leave the courthouse super happy -> Radiation man is angry he got laid off from nuke plant, says he will fuck us all -> Radiation pours from ground -> [REDACTED] learns about why i thought i was put in jail -> radiation man predicts it -> black guy turns into radiation man -> radiation monster -> somehow blast off in rocket ship -> feel like my dream may take a turn for the worse once i get into space, like i might actually have been dreaming now but am still in legal trouble, so i shake myself awake.
Translation: A black man from a nuclear power plant gets laid off and in his anger turns into a gigantic radioactive hulk and destroys a lot of things, I blast off into space because traffic violations and I don't even drive
I can't do WILD. I stay still and as time past, I fall asleep. What can I do to keep myself awake?
I have the same problem.
I had a dream that some power lines fell down around me and it freaked me the fuck out. There was weird electricity coming out of them and they turned half of something they touched into ash instantly.
I can't do WILD. I stay still and as time past, I fall asleep. What can I do to keep myself awake?
Picture yourself in first person climbing a set of stairs in a stairwell. At each level picture on the wall the number counting up from 1. Do this and do not move a muscle, or scratch and I guarantee by 100 you will be lucid dreaming.
Just play a song in your head and focus on it. Make sure the music doesn't stop. [editline]1st April 2012[/editline] Oh how I miss flying :(
