Honestly, I'd snip that pic if I were you. Orkel is probably right around the corner with his macro-banhammer [editline]4th April 2012[/editline] Trust me, I would know. You hear an odd scraping sound and smell burning sulfur when that crazy bastard smells a macro.
First lucid dream last night. I didn't use any special technique, just got lucid from reading "Lucid Dreaming : The Gateway to the Inner Self". The dream started when I was sitting in a bus because of no particular reason. I had a backpack and started chatting with some chick. Soon after, the bus stopped and I got out to some kind of youth hostel, where I was promptly welcomed. One tall red haired chick greeted me (she was gorgeous imo), followed by some smaller blond and a brown haired guy. They were playing pool as I walked past them. But what intrigued me was the weird questions I was asked by them. " So how much time do you have left ? " "Enjoy your stay while you can." Some old granny showed me my room when there was an emergency alarm of some sorts. Everyone started running and I followed them. We ran very far when we discovered some armed men. The order was "follow", and so we did. From here, most of the stuff gets blurry. But I still remember all of us, besides granny, had some kind of disease. Your flesh on your hands would look like it's peeling off, but it didn't really hurt. A blizzard was rampaging the whole way, the ice crystals would get stuck to our hands. Anyway, we still followed the gunmen when I noticed something.. fascinating, intriguing, or should I say, disturbing. Far away there was a tent standing on an open grassland. The "door" was open and you could see many corpses stacked on top of each other. They were naked. But there was no rotten smell; it means the killing was done only recently. We kept on moving, but granny said to me "Follow me. Then run to the left." So I followed her. Her walking in front of me, and me being naked all of a sudden, we walked up to some sorts of podium. Here a devilish version of the pope waited for me. At least he looked like one. Granny said to him "Not this one." The pope, with dark, sunken eyes, bad teeth inside of a black mouth and white, thin hair grabbed ahold of my left hand and faintly smiled. His fingers were bony, there was hardly any flesh on them. Somehow he was able to read the ice crystals the blizzard previously left on my hand. He stroked across it, concentrating on what seemed to be the pattern of the ice. Then he said: "Look here, granny. This part of his hand (it was where my index finger met my hand) doesn't have any crystals on it. Do you know what this means? He is a water type, having an affection towards it. That's why there aren't any on here. And you know what we did to them. We chopped their finger off, froze it and put a formula on it to heat.", a laughter filled with malicious joy escaped his lips, "Then we tortured them to death with it.". "We don't need someone like him here.", that was his last statement. Granny looked sad at me. I was ordered to enter the tent, which was suddenly empty. No more corpses. There were many buckets with slowly boiling water, the air inside here was very moist. Breathing was hard. In those buckets sat 8 of my friends, who looked at me with a mix of despair and hate before their vision met the ground before them. I was the only one who didn't have to climb in such a bucket. Instead, I was sitting on a bench, trying to breath. That was the moment where I said: " Hey, this is a dream." Suddenly filled with confidence and joy, I say to my friends, "Let us run. Run as fast as you can. We can make it." They thought I was crazy, and now I was feeling their repulsion and disgust. Not only of the idea to escape, but towards me, as well. I sigh, concentrate and become silent. I charge, break the tent door open and run. I hear how the dark pope screams " STOP HIM ! " . It was like moving through thick syrup. My body was slow, unlike the usual feeling of nimbleness I have. My limbs are being dragged towards the ground, but I manage to keep on pushing forward. When I hear the armed men chase me, I pick up pace. Strangely enough I got used to this gluey feeling. I dash diagonally to the left, to avoid granny. She gives me a wink and wants to meet. I decide to move in her direction, but I'm reminded to continue my escape by my chasers, shouting at me. I run and run. I can't tell how much distance I've covered, but the men still want to get me, so I don't stop. But I notice how every step, I get lighter. My feet move quicker, a feeling of immense strength is surging through my limbs. I feel ecstasy. My each and every movement is coordinated and brimming with life itself. I see the end. There is a huge wall with an immense lake. As I get closer, I notice two doors in the wall, which are the only ways to escape. I decide for the left door, but this is just a feint for my pursuers. With ease I jump all across the lake to the other side, open the door and thus finish my escape. I feel the urge to fly, and think to myself "Fuck it, I want to fly." The same gluey feeling accompanies me, but as I try different flying methods it gradually vanishes until I bolt through the air. Somehow knowing, my flight takes me to a family reunion where I land. Thankfully I wear clothes now. My family welcomes me, we chitchat and someone is giving a speech. That's when I woke up and thought "Fucking.Awesome." .
Couple more questions: Can your subconscious take the form of a person? And if it can, can you actually talk to it? And second, are their any other tips for dream recall? Because I think that's where I'm having trouble. My dreams are just not vivid enough and I just kinda forget them the moment I wake up.
Couple more questions: Can your subconscious take the form of a person? And if it can, can you actually talk to it?
yep, they actually usually do take the form of people.
mine is a seagull
Called Snorkel heheheh snorkel

I had a very cool dream last night where I was trying to film a bunch of stuff with my camera besides the actual subjects, it was very realistic, all the problems that might actually happen did happen, like the focus being off, people not speaking up, etc it was about this weird island that had some zipline, and I was making a comedy about it and interviewing people and stuff one of them was danny devito [editline]5th April 2012[/editline]
I'm worried. Should I be worried?
you could have read through parts of the thread and learned that for the most part, the content of your non-lucid dreams is absolutely meaningless
Had a dream last night that I found the entrance to hell. It was an endless tunnel with tracks in it, and we had to ride it down on slabs of metal around 2x2 metres in diameter connected to eachother like rollercoaster carts. And along the way there were constant traps and dangers, like falling boulders and slicing blades that we kinda couldn't avoid because we had to sit on the rolling slabs of metal. So we kept dying and resurrecting only to continue riding down the hellish tunnel towards the next death, and apparently that was hell itself. Sure wasn't that fun. I recall being decapitated once, crushed by a boulder once and being ran over by a train two or three times. Oh and there were a lot of jumps along the way down.
Guys... quick questions. I had a dream last night. It may seem small, but it was about someone I know but dont really talk to. Honestly, she was doing things that I wouldnt approve of, like smoking and making death threats to people(Things I know she would never do). In the dream, I cared for her enough to try and turn her life around. When I saw her smoking I sat next to her and talked her out of it. When she got into heated arguments, I broke it up. Now, normally, I don't think of her as a close friend or even a possible relationship, Which is why this dream was confusing for me. I felt genuinely saddened when I saw her like this. If you cant tell, I still do when I'm recalling the dream. Now comes the strange part. I've had dreams similar to this before. Played out in a similar manner where someone who I normally don care much about (Usually as woman), is doing something wrong and I try and help. I usually never find out if I succeed. [editline]2nd April 2012[/editline] A few quotes. "I hate to see you like this" "Common Kat, your better than this."
It's meaningless. Get over it.
mine is a seagull
mine is a raven we are bird brothers
mine is a raven we are bird brothers
Mine uses my form human brothers kind of Ironically switched if you ask me
One of the few times I achieved lucidity, I did pretty much nothing. Tried to fly (promptly smacked face into floor), fumbled with non-functional light-switches and I'm pretty sure there was a bunch of angry deer in my lawn. Lost lucidity shortly after. EDIT: I've been noticing trends in my dreams as of late. I'm not going for some Freudian bullshit, but it seems to be very common for me to be thrown around like a ragdoll. No pain or anything, just mild fear as I'm being launched improbable distances by some force (usually an automobile or something)
Had a pretty vivid dream by my standards during my nap between classes. Was playing Pokemon Emerald. Except it looked like like a Gen I game and I had eight of the same pokemon on my team. Started to think to myself "hey this isn't right." But every time I started to doubt what I was seeing was real, something distracted me. I think my subconscious is being a dick. Actually, it usually is. A lot of the time my dreams dangle something that I really want in my face and never let me have it. This time it happened to be lucidity. Or am I reading too much into this?
mine is a seagull
Hah, that's really unique, mine's a little girl with pigtails, she carries my teddy bear from childhood.
I wanna meet my sub, but I'm finding it difficult to lucid dream. I need a way to remind me to reality check often through the day.
I wanna meet my sub, but I'm finding it difficult to lucid dream. I need a way to remind me to reality check often through the day.
You can try connecting something to doing a reality check. I do one every time that I hear, read, or think about reality checks. I also do them when someone mentions dreams and now even school. It's mostly about forming a habit for yourself.
I wanna meet my sub, but I'm finding it difficult to lucid dream. I need a way to remind me to reality check often through the day.
Take a pen and put a mark on your hand. I use and "A" for "awake". Every time you see the mark you do an RC.
sleeping is nice..
I can't seem to get WILD to work again, I think I'm just too focused on it to actually work. Can it be worse to do when you are trying too hard?
My dreams have been unusual lately, in the sense that I have never had a person appear in my dreams so frequently... Any ways, had my first lucid in a long time :downs: Feels good, even got to fly once again, shame it was for like 7 seconds before the dream started destabilising. It was probably like 1 hour in dream time before I became lucid, so... Any ways, can't wait to get another lucid
I can't seem to get WILD to work again, I think I'm just too focused on it to actually work. Can it be worse to do when you are trying too hard?
I think this my problem as well.
Had my first EVER MILD. It only lasted for like, 5 seconds, as I noticed my friends school uniform wrong (HOW SAD IS THAT?) then I attempted to fly, but it faded to black and I awoke. I never realised how clean cut it was to think "That's not right, so.., I MUST BE LUCID DREAMING!". Then I fell back to sleep and could force myself to think "This is a dream" during it, so it happened again. I think I might of gotten the hang of this
I will have a lucid dream tonight. I will succeed. I will report in the morning, with hopefully good results.
Will probably try WILD a couple more times. If that doesn't work, gonna try WBTB.
Had another zombie dream.
Uh... Today I had a dream that I was living in an apartment block somewhere and first part of the dream was me aimlessly walking around my block. From what I recall from my thoughts, I was walking and from time to time looking at some kind of alarm lamp that allegedly turned on when the internet connection in block is working. After like 5 minutes I realised what the fuck was I doing and that I'm in a dream. So I go inside, then upstairs to some apartment that apperently was mine. I try to spawn my subconscious and it took form of a human, but it was entirely black like a shadow and was like 20x smaller than me. So I commanded him to grow up, it still was pretty small but the more he was growing up then I started losing sight and everything was like this, so I thought I may be waking up. I said fuck it and started asking questions. Our dialogue was pretty short: It denied that it's my subconscious and after I asked why it answered "Because you will die, because of health care". Of course I didn't take it seriously. But nevertheless I "woke up". I was still in dream, but I didn't realize because apperently for me it's normal to wake up in middle of the street in third person. Rest of the dream was like just another day in Saints Row The Third. Sorry if I wrote it a but chaotically or with grammar mistakes.
Didn't go lucid, but had a vivid weird ass dream with zombies in it...it played out as though I was watching radar with little red and green arrows...
Whoa, just had a very weird Lucid Dream. I earned my lucidity by looking at my fingers and apparently I had like 7 fingers in each hand. I noticed I was in my bed so I thought it was a false awakening, the problem was: I couldn't move my legs. I spent like 5 minutes (or it looked like 5 minutes) trying to move my legs and I couldn't! Then I tried focusing on sliding away of my bed and then I could finally walk. But seriously, the fuck? Not being able to walk during a lucid dream? I think this is the fact of me being seriously afraid of having a Sleep Paralysis, not sure though.
Had a cool dream last night. I was stuck on another planet because it was winter there. The planet had heavy wobble around its axis and it caused extreme winds and a very cold winter at around -70c (and similary very hot summers). The winter also lasted over 6 months. After surviving through a powerful sandstorm (still winter) I discovered a village of aliens, they were all Mickey Mouses the size of a palm and they were scared of me. They took me to their leader, who was a clone of my father. I was surprised to find my father there so I asked him what was going on, and he told me he wasn't my father, he just looked like him. His name was Igor or something. And then met my mother and her name was different too. They were like doppelgangers. Oh and both of them were pirate captains Another dream about being in a commando squad during ww2, and secretly landing on some Japanese island. We knocked out some guards and stole their uniforms, and then got in a jeep. But some of them noticed us (Non-Japanese wearing their uniforms isn't suspicious at all) and they sent two soldiers after us, both riding a horse. Dream ended when we reached a city.
