oh my god i just remembered a fever dream i had a while back i was on an island with some sort of guru who had a big teak-wood house around 4 floors and looked sort of like a crap imitation of a plantation house. this house was in a small circular area surrounded by sheer cliff walls an all sides except the one you enter from. to the right of the house there was a waterfall landing on an egg-shaped rock with a rune on it. he invited me upstairs and we talked about things, when i smelled smoke from downstairs. i ran down and flipping EVERYTHING was on fire. i grabbed the guru and ran out of the house where i saw some fleeing figures. he explained they were raiding pirates with a vendetta for him or something. we got in a boat and paddled over to their island which was slowly becoming brown for some reason. i went on shore and saw the pirates had become the brown stuff too. it smelled overwhelmingly of CHOCOLATE! we ran back to the boat and paddled back to our island, but it turned out some of the chocolate had come on our boat and it infected everything except the rune rock, that we hid on. dream over
I never seem to die in my dreams. Even in the two I just had where I had a gun to my head, I didn't bother to pull the trigger.
What do you guys like to do whilst entering WILD? What do you visualise? How do you keep passive, yet conscious?
I had movie theater dream. Those are always weird. Especially because it's the same movie theater each time. There's a concrete bench at the front, then some really thin seats that seem more like chairs at the sides, then there's super comfy huge seats in the middle that have backs so high you can't see the screen. So I was just playing with an iPad or something the whole time
Had two rad dreams last night. 1) The dream was in third person. Wasn't me doing the decisions, just watching like within a movie. The main dude was a disguised alien. He had come to Earth to seek help in a war they were having on their planet. He went to the UN and told them everything. Basically, they were a race of walking squids called Sagoraths that were fighting a war with human-like beings whose name I can't remember, but the humans were "wild west" like. His movie showed a bunch of them in a desert in a trench, one of them shoot the cameraman with a revolver and so on. The head of the UN started talking to him in a mocking way. He said they would never help, "we will never give even nukes to your kind, slave." The alien became very angry at his lack of respect and shot white lasers from his eyes into the UN leader's eyes. The leader collapsed and people rushed to help him, but he soon came back up looking very confused. The lasers had inadvertedly showed him the true side of things. As soon as he started talking about what he had seen, the dream scenery changed into it. A stormy ocean during the night, upon which a fleet of ships were coming towards the "camera", which then zoomed on top of them and showed the squid-race people standing on it. The narrating voice said how they were building a "death-star" in orbit of their world and would start making their way to Earth one day from then. The camera then panned to the sky, and the orbital construction was fully visible. The view then switched to the invasion vessel moving through a stargate-like wormhole, and then back to the UN. The leader said "we have no time left to waste, the next wormhole could be right here" and the dream ended, with the lying alien imprisoned (they were found out to be the bad guys afterall) 2) I was on a trip in Italy. I arrived at a train station. My train left from track 3, so I waited there. In the meantime, another train came on a nearby track, with a very old steam engine and it made horrendous screeching as it braked and one guy next to me remarked "how about when it leaves?" Track 3 had a train now, and I hopped in. I met another Finnish dude inside who I asked if this train leads to the city I'm supposed to go, and he said yeah. Then the train driver spoke through the speakers and said "We are now arriving at AugustusBagdad" which wasn't my city but it was fucking AWESOME The sky there was purple and swirling with clouds, there were metallic giraffes walking on the wheat fields and there were huge onion domes built out of sparkly glass+steel like those of orthodox churches absolutely everywhere, and there was middle-eastern music in the background. It was an amazing sight to behold. But then my sister woke me up before I could get in further Must revisit the city of AugustusBagdad in a lucid dream later on

Started keeping a dream log, I'm going to see if I can establish connections/ patterns with my dreams.
Just had the weirdest dream about my first day of college (I have not gone to college yet) First the school bus driver (haha school bus for college) drove the bus and parked it intentionally a long distance from the college so we all had to walk. Along the bus ride I realized that I didn't bring any school supplies save for a mechanical pencil in my pocket. Along the way, there were people near tables of college merchandise, presumably college faculty and staff, clapping and congratulating us. At first I was like "Oh cool, free stuff!" but then I noticed those cushy things that you put cups in were 6 dollars, which was when I realised they were actually trying to just sell us things, some of it completely random like paper plates and napkins. Upon learning that math was my first subject, I went to buy some paper to take notes with. The paper was only 30 cents for an unspecified amount of sheets. When I went to buy some paper I accidentally said "Pencils." but quickly corrected myself and said "Paper". I was handed 5 mechanical pencils of varying colors before the seller realised her mistake. She also mentioned buying paper at a college was a "good idea" The college was a complete maze and I had no idea where I was going. The fact that the railings and stairs were in such a design that only a madman could concieve of it didn't help either. I was pretty much just desperately exploring the corridors in hopes I would stumble across my first class. I found one of the people from my school also walking around the colleges. he was on his phone telling someone that he would try applying to "that place in Florida" to get out of this college. I replied by saying this is the very collge I've always wanted to be in and I wouldn't leave, despite the fact that I had no idea what the name of the college was, I was trying to remember if it was University of Bridgeport (Connecticut) or Universty of Berkeley, which is all the way in California. I would also like to mention that i have not applied to either of those colleges.
Goddamnit. Last night I had a dream I was putting chocolate milk sauce on some icecream. Later in the morning I decided to have some chocolate milk, but we didn't have any and my dream made me think we did. Fuck you, dream.
I had an interesting experience last night The earliest I could remember my dream was following around the guy from survivorman T.V show, I then realized that we where in the back yard of my house in the woods and it made no sense and then I realized I was dreaming and from there I was able to control and influence my dreams. I found if I tried too hard to directly control my dreams I could come close to waking up cause I could start to hear the T.V in the background which I left on when I fell asleep. I woke up a few times in my room and then fell back to sleep in lucid dreaming again, the details where sketchy but I remember riding an elevator in some tropical resort and trying to read the signs on it which was just a bunch of gibberish :v:. When I finally woke up in my room I realized the T.V had been off the whole time so I was really having a dream within a dream and every time I woke up it was a dream of my room. Mind = blown
I had a dream where I was in a pub and the beer was free. So I drank about 6 pints refilling at the dispenser every time I finish one and got really drunk. Woke up with some sort of weird hangover thing. Its really weird cause I dislike alcohol and would never, ever touch it.
I have some really goddamn weird dreams. I think my brain may be on drugs.
I had the weirdest experience this morning. Usually when I wake up on days that I don't have to get up early in the morning for something, I stay in bed for a few hours. I wake up at 7:00, when I normally do, because my body is trained to wake up at that time, but I go back to sleep on and off, until like 10:00. Except today, when I was trying to get back to sleep, I kept hearing noises, voices, things like that. You know how you have a mind's eye and you can "see" things in your head, but they're not really there? It was somewhere between that and actually seeing them while dreaming. That went on for like a minute, then all of a sudden I'm focusing on this tiny white dot with my eyes closed, and then things snap. The sound around me starts to distort and become all wavy-like, and it looks like there's waves coming from the white dot now. I thought that this was like a WILD or something, and I realize that I could probably influence my coming dream with whatever I think about next, but my mind starts fucking with me and I think of the scariest things I can come up with, like fucked up skeletons and corpses and stuff. Because of this, I panic and snap myself out of that weird state and I "wake up" and become fully conscious again without any weird noises and whatnot. Is this sort of thing run-of-the-mill for you people?
I had a dream that there was this sword and when I hit it against something and listened to the vibrations, there was a message that "The Death Knights are going to come and fuck shit up" or something like that. After freaking out for a while David Tennant showed up so I had him listen to the message. He said that the sword was broken, and that the Death Knights are actually the worst tennis team in the entire universe, and that it's physically impossible to lose to them. Nightmare averted in the most hilarious way possible :v: Also I almost had a lucid from being partially woken up, but failed :c
Last night during a dream I thought "Wow, if I realized this was a dream I could go lucid!" Nothing came of it. :(
I wouldn't mind trying WILD, but I am absolutely terrified by the idea of hypnogogic hallucinations which follow sleep paralysis :S
I dreamed I had sleep paralysis and thought I was finally gonna be able to do a successful WILD, but then I woke up.
I wouldn't mind trying WILD, but I am absolutely terrified by the idea of hypnogogic hallucinations which follow sleep paralysis :S
Afaik that's purely placebo. If you expect them to be scary then they will be. I've never gotten a WILD to work that far, but I have had some reasonably pleasant experiences with (unintentional) hypnogogic hallucinations before. Just think positively and your experience will be positive. I *think* it's that simple.
Once I had a fever dream, it was horrible. I was rocketing through pitch-black space at speeds I can't imagine, screaming because I knew I would stay like that for eternity. It had something to do with carefully placed numbers- like, a team of 3 deciding calmly which numbers to select or something. They were all single-digit, but then a person new to the team just screamed out several different numbers in the millions, and that somehow brought me to the nightmare void. Another nightmare I had was where I went downstairs in the middle of the night, opened the fridge, then I heard high-pitched static noises and a giant ragdoll fell out onto me. Then it latched on, and I woke up.
So I had a dream today, and I just wanted to share it. So today my alarm goes off at 9 this morning and I hit the dismiss button on my phone thinking I'll get up. Well, I fall back to sleep and I have to leave the house at 11 in time to make it for work. I have a dream with me sleeping in a room with no furniture and with, 15-20 other people sleeping in there and all of a sudden a monster alien like thing ( Kinda like the aliens from Starship Troopers but bright-ish green) slowly started spawning out of the ground, I dunno.. at this point I was freaking the fuck out. So then I started running away from it, still in the room. I started running on the walls and shit, then a new part of a room formed and I was doing parkour all over the place to get away from this thing. The entire time I'm running, I'm yelling "Wake up!! please wake up!!!" and so a few moments later I do wake up, 10 til' 11. Then I get ready for work as fast as possible. And the whole drive to work I was thinking how weird the dream was, and how it saved me from being late today.
I wouldn't mind trying WILD, but I am absolutely terrified by the idea of hypnogogic hallucinations which follow sleep paralysis :S
I used to lucid dream every night out of sheer joy for it. Always had amazing experiences with it, until I woke up during one. I was "paralyzed, and couldn't move." then this thing which it had no face, just like a brown sheet was flapping and screaming. and all around me was an extremely bright white with things flying by and just a deafeningly loud screeching noise while this thing is beating the shit out of me with a stick." After going through that for 20 or so seconds. it all disappeared and i was fully awake.

I am not actually, it was a rather funny experience. Though I was terrified during the process as I thought a demon was coming to kill me. As soon as it all vanished, i just shrugged it off and went to sleep a few minutes later. I'd totally do it again. but this shows the best representation of what I saw over me.
So this is kinda an odd question. When I dream, and say I punch something/someone is that dream, I can't. Its like at the moment of impact, the punch loses all momentum, and I end up lightly taping what ever I was attacking. Any one else get this? It's starting to annoy me
This post is really fucking late but I've always wondered why this happens too me. I get the same exact thing. Its fucking retarded.
So, I was able to get lucid. I think. Whenever I realize I'm dreaming, I suddenly get launched like a hundred feet in the air, and smash my face into the ground. Is that normal?
I once had a dream where i was simply a spectator of a scenery. It played in the Wastelands as in fallout 3, near Smith Casey's Garage. The skies were looking brown and polluted and the grounds were pitch-black as it was meant to give of a silhouette. then the ground lightened up so i could see details. the garage door opened up and 2 beasts were leaving the garage. applebloom and bonbon. both stopped as they've seen a figure on the horizon. it was the beast of the east - Legate Lanius. The lone figure charged at them but as much the creatures tried, the shock kept them from running. as he was just about to get to them he just swung his sword and yelled "DEGENRATES!" and pulled them both to fleshy piles. I was very happy when i woke up.
wow even in your dreams you are obsessed with hating ponies get a life
Stevie Wonder again, this time he was chilling in our living room. I guess he lives in my house in my dreams now or something, everyone in my family kind of ignored him like he's always there. I sat next to him and asked what was going on. He turned to me slowly and said hello. I tried to respond but couldn't, then I suddenly couldn't breathe, I woke up as he reached his hands up to take his glasses off. I've had other dreams where I suddenly can't breathe then wake up fine. They're some of the more panic inducing, usually it takes awhile for me to get back to sleep.
dream journal notes from last night notes for dream 1: "clam" notes for dream 2: "attacking a -and of barping" what is this i don't even how the fuck am I supposed to remember the dreams from these, stupid half-asleep brain
Does masturbating before sleeping affect dream recall? [editline]4th July 2012[/editline] I remeber my dreams SOMETIMES. The last one I remember was pretty much the Walking Dead combined with trouble in terrorist town. Other dreams I've had was driving to a carnival, watching it burn down, and escaping to the mountains where the Chinese were invading but progressive auto insurance helicopter came and dropped of yoshi to fight them. My favorites are ones were I can fly, the last flying one I had was a while ago, pretty close to the one with the carnival, Where I was like a harpy or something(arms for wings) and I was trying to fly but I could only jump really high. Then the chinese invaded the adobe stlye ranch i was at. Darn china men invading my dreams. :v:
