Try listening to Dust in the Wind
He said he was feeling sad, not suicidal.
I'll have this dream every month, give or take a few days. It's an out of body experience, but I can't see myself so it's more like it's from the viewpoint of a camera. The camera (my POV) will orbit around this shiny metal ball in the middle of an endless desert. Sometimes the ball will have a flag design stenciled on it. Then, suddenly, the ball will begin to spazz out and just move incredibly fast, leaving a trail behind it. The trail is hard to describe, since I see it as a trail of purples, greens, and blues but also as a plain black trail at the same time. The ball will stop after a few minutes of this, and whatever shape the trails make will turn into random buildings ranging from favela-type houses, industrial factories, or fantasy-style inns or shops for less than a second. Then the trails disappear and the ball stays still on the desert ground, leaving me to wake up. I have no idea why this particular dream occurs, if there is any explanation. Also when I wake up from this dream I feel sad the whole day.
I thought I'd get back into this LDing stuff after trying it for almost two months fully a year ago. What does everyone suggest/do? I'm pretty much willing to wake up at any time.
I had a dream that I was lucid dreaming, I guess that happens when I study the entire day
I had this dream where I was swimming in my pool, then a sea otter thing appeared out of nowhere inside the pool. I got out with the sea otter and took it to my room. All of a sudden it turned into a boy and told me how it was the last of a race of immortal otter-people and if he died then the world would end in 2012. I then said, "Well that's cool and all, but can you help me close this window? I can't quite get it."
Over the past two days, I've had a few interesting dreams: My dad was having a cookout with my family so I picked up the ketchup and squirted it on my leg. That was about when I noticed it was mercury. I freaked out because, well, mercury is poisonous and all, and started lapping it off my leg. Don't know what I was thinking then. My dad told me that it would be fine after I pooped (?) so we went to all these relaxing places (spa, etc.) to calm my nerves and pass the quicksilver poop. Never quite happened thank god. One of my annual vacation spots (not really, the dream made it up for me) had a huge church in it. Really old, beautiful architecture. It was the culture center of a town that had a large focus on religion. It was built on the still-accessible ruins of some Aztec-styled building. Anyways, a fire started. Apparently I was the only certified fire fighter, so I went in and started dousing the flames. Inside I met the priest, determined to do one last ritual: Make salt. I tried to convince him of the danger of the situation, but he wouldn't have it. Like I said, the community was very attached to religion. I'd put out the fires in the building and went to the back to put out the fires in the Aztec part. There was a staircase that went down and then up so that it was difficult to aim the fire hose. I decided to look for another angle. I walked around a bit and seemed to have forgotten about the whole thing for a while. I went into the building and found that the priest had finished his ritual and was joined by two adults and a teenager playing on a DS, the former 3 just reminiscing. I don't know why or how, but I could feel the building, sort of just know how the framework was doing. It wasn't doing well, I'll tell you that. I rushed them outside to the rest of the townies, getting one last glimpse of the building. It would soon collapse. And it was all because I didn't put out that fire. Regardless of it having been a dream, I still feel like an asshole :smith:
I had a dream that some horrible giant monster descended into the city I was in and really messed everything up, so the survivors ran away and took refuge with some people that were something like romans kinda. Then I got 4 blowjobs. That was probably the highlight of the dream. Then me and two other people hopped in a car and drove back to the edge of the city. While they were looking at the fiery ruins, I noticed that all the nearby fallen trees had sprouted some legs and had started moving, so I shouted "TREES WITH LEGS TREES WITH LEGS", threw them in the car and got the fuck out of there I had another dream which involved me stealing a vial of a red liquid called beceouth that causes weird mutations from a laboratory, while avoid giant monstoersrsrsr
Had a dream last night where I had a 1920s car and drove it around town. Was awesome.
Gotta love when you set up an app on your iPod to give you a reminder mid-dream and record your REM sleep at the same time, and then the fucking thing falls off of the bed halfway through the night. I woke up to hear my reminder. Shit, get it together.
I really want to try to lucid-dream, but I don't know where to start, it would be nice if I could get some help with this, because this sounds pretty awesome.
He said he was feeling sad, not suicidal.
I actually did feel incredibly suicidal when that was happening. Your mind can do strange things. [editline]12th July 2012[/editline] Of course, the second I sat up in my bed those feelings went away, leaving me feeling just sad.
I really want to try to lucid-dream, but I don't know where to start, it would be nice if I could get some help with this, because this sounds pretty awesome.
There's a bajillion videos on youtube that can help. I would start with MILD or DILD.

Or check the OPs from previous threads. I'd do ANOTHER write up on it but. Eh. Or check youtube, they've got some instructional videos. Or DreamViews. I hate DreamViews but their tutorials are, for the most part, good.
i had a dream were africans chased me in a van down a hill [editline]13th July 2012[/editline] what does it mean?
Well, that was a fucked up dream. From what I could gather about it, it was some kid going through the various layers of hell or something. Most of it was just sort of weird and trippy, but the final bit... Uh, yeah, there's probably something wrong in my head. The rest of my dreams last night were fairly innocuous, though. One was about flying, I think.
Hey guys how long does it take for you to fall asleep? For me it can take 30min-2.5h, and I wanna know if it's normal.
10 minutes-1hour
I just had a dream that combined the worlds of Just Cause 2, Stalker, some real world stuff and a shitload of zombies. Basically, you'd get infected by tiny bugs that would pierce your skin and they were hard to find. House's with indoor bathrooms had to be completely reworked if you wanted to stay in them. After my friends got infected I decided would try and save Humanity by detonating the nuclear bomb in the capital. So I make the journey out there, and I'm assisted by a bunch all of my friends who play airsoft, who managed to get an actual gun. There was ONE guy with an airsoft gun though. So after I fight my way in, I've almost put in the codes and I didn't realize there was zombies in this base. TL;DR - I had a crazy dream about zombies and I died trying to save the world.
Why don't I get cool dreams like that.

I was flopping around in my bed for a solid 40 minutes and then I fell asleep.
Sorry I rated disagree because I'm on my iPod. Now it looks like I'm a jerk
You can re-rate things, you know.
Sorry I rated disagree because I'm on my iPod. Now it looks like I'm a jerk
It's okay.
I've never tried Lucid dreaming - but I think I was close one time; I was doing the WILD technique, and all of a sudden I heard a loud noise, which could be a loud buzzing from sleep paralysis, or [sp]just me snoring.[/sp] v:v:v
I need some good reality checks I can do often, can someone recommend me any? I'm gonna try and start with dild.
I need some good reality checks I can do often, can someone recommend me any? I'm gonna try and start with dild.
Try to put your finger through your palm, look at clocks, check your phone, look at your hands, try to put your tongue through your teeth.
I need some good reality checks I can do often, can someone recommend me any? I'm gonna try and start with dild.
Finger Palm, pinching your nose and seeing if you can still breathe through it, closing your eye to see if you can still see your nose
I'm gonna try lucid tonight, using that FILD strategy posted way back, wiggling your pinky every couple of seconds. I'm also not going to use melatonin, which is what I use every night to fall asleep. So yeah, I hope I get to have wild dream sex! (That's what pretty much everyone who lucids does, right?)
Okay, so, to try and do DILD, I would just need to do alot of reality checks when I'm awake, and I would do it in real life?
