Why haven't I posted here before?? I have some really interesting, funny, and crazy stories I could tell. My first post will be short though.
I had two crazy ass dreams last night. Most of the times when I dream they're actually lucid, but these two aren't.
First one: It was in highschool, in fucking religion class. This kid Von is just sitting in a chair strumming his guitar while my friend Chris is sitting in the corner all alone hunched over nearly in fetal position freaking the shit out and babbling on and on about some shit. I don't remember but he was like fucked up on DMT and bathsalts. Everyone else was just going about their business, it was weird.
Second one: In school again. Sitting by my locker in the morning with a friend before school started, we had like 10 minutes or so. This nerdy looking kid named "Benjamin Franklin" came up to us and told us how people who eat yogurt are ignorant... because yogurt is suppose to be a romantic food... and eating it ruins it. I don't know lol
Two days ago I had a dream in which I saw a pretty cool looking hazmat-suit.
There was some sort of factory or powerstation or waste station, not sure what it was but it had quite a bit of those wide cylindrical storage tanks.
And not to far away from the place was the edge of a city which seemed dead.
At the place between the city and the factory or whatever I saw the someone standing still.
Apparently it was someone in a hazmat suit whom had been killed by some unknown entity that left him standing dead like a statue.
Around him laid scattered pieces of the same kind of suit.
Gloves, masks, jumpsuits and airtanks laying here and there and a bunch of them were also piled up.
I'm lucky that I remembered the suit, so I described it to a friend of mine and drew a part of the face of the mask.
The eye lenses were round and the exhaler was a laying ellipse. So it formed a rather ghastly looking face.
Last night at half past eleven I decide that I should continue drawing it further, but I look at my school schedule and notice that I have to wake up at six in the morning. :v:
Had a dream that I was at a school and wrote an incredibly good essay. It got marked "MT", which was somehow the most precious mark one could get.
Someone stole the essay, and I noticed a horse riding man trying to get away. I caught him and realized that it wasn't a real horse, there were two dudes inside a horse costume carrying a small man on top.
He was Napoleon. A midget sized Napoleon. I asked him if he had stolen my MT essay, he said no.
I ran outside to a field and a ginormous tornado started lowering from a cloud and hit the ground 200-300m to my left, sucking in some students. I started jogging the other way, only to be confronted by several other, smaller tornados about the thickness of a house (compared to the giant one that was like a small town)
I shouted to the skies; "Weather God, did you steal my MT essay?"
One of the big clouds formed into a bigass bearded old man face in the sky that told me it was not him for sure. I told him to stop bothering my search with his tornadoes and he said okay.
I walked past the tornados who were kinda sentient for some reason, I told them they shouldn't bother me and they just stood (can tornadoes even stand?) in a row, watching me as I went back inside.
I never found who stole my essay.
The dream was extremely vivid.
[QUOTE=Orkel;38089991]He was Napoleon. [B]A midget sized Napoleon.[/B][/QUOTE]
Rather redundant, wouldn't you say?
[SUB][SUB][SUB]Yes, I know that Napoleon wasn't actually that short.[/SUB][/SUB][/SUB]
I don't know why but when I'm dreaming and things like light switches, in rooms where I know they've always worked, suddenly don't (and the light stays on for instance), that shit creeps me the fuck out.
Some time within this month I had a dream where people were watching a television show, showing multiple ways that people killed babies, I woke up and I was traumatized for 2 days.
[editline]18th October 2012[/editline]
It was terrible.
I constantly have dreams where I can quicksave and quickload.
They're always fun, for example I can quicksave, then kick a guy in the nuts, then quickload.
Had a dream where my sister kept telling me about a dead "morpho-dolphin" and I got pissed off about the constant nagging, so I said fuck the morpho-dolphin and started pushing a metal cart thing to get away but I accidentally hit a door, which opened and I heard "NO DON'T OPEN THAT DOOR YET" from behind me. A massive ball of flame rushed out from behind the door (it was a giant flaming oven for finishing clay pots etc) and engulfed me and the room I was in, and I died horribly.
I had a dream last night that I was working for the umbrella corp and I was hunting zombies in a dark warehouse in the middle of an abandoned city and I had these cool sunglasses that were also night vision and thermal goggles that would also highlight people. They reminded me of those high tech 3d glasses.
I want to make them now.
I just had a lucid dream this morning that I -remembered- for the first time in probably 8 years for only about a minute as perceived within the dream , not real time.
The combination of FILD , WILD , and MILD resulted in the dream that I was lucid only after the first dream.
I vividly remember the first dream being almost abducted by someone in a parking lot as I was headed to my car , freeing myself and then after getting the upper-hand I preceded to bash his skull on the pavement. That knocked him out so I took his wallet and cellphone before running back to my car and speeding off as everything faded black.
As soon as that happened the next dream started , Or so I think . It was very strange , I was in the middle of a street in some city. Looking around I immediate noticed I was completely naked. This is the point where I gained control of the dream at the shear absurdity of my circumstance. Per my thoughts at the time , I tried to fly right away.
This took a bit of time , several jumps later I finally raised my arms up like superman with his fingers over extended and flew over the city into a large forest. The view was...eerie , It wasn't nice and clear but more like pure black line of distance fog.
As I flew over the forest my vision slowly tunneled into darkness. Realizing the dream was ending , I tried to spin as the guide tells you which did work , but the new scene was just a mirror. I looked into it seeing some kind of symbol which resulted in the end of lucidity and the dream.
I had about 3 other dreams aswell through FILD right after waking from another dream but without becoming lucid of only 2 which I remember anything about.
Hi I have nightmares almost every second night, any clue as to why this can happen? After searching around I've seen it's apparently stress/anxiety etc. in most cases but I don't really feel stressed in my daily life at all, or anxious and such. I can deal with it (even though it's rather fucking annoying) but it seems like it's starting to worry my boyfriend and I want to give him some peace of mind.
And before anyone asks, there has been NO recurring dreams/nightmares at all, they're always different

Maybe you're getting them because you think about getting them or expect to get them because "it's very likely" so it ends up happening again. I've said this so many times before, but everything in dreams can be put into one sentence: what you think about, is.

That's probably the case some nights but ironically a lot of the time I go to bed calm and in the mindset of "tonight will be fine :D!" then wake up later like "WELL NO IT WASN'T"

Have you tried inducing a lucid dream from them? I've never had this problem so I don't speak from experience but I'm told lucid dreaming is a legitimate treatment for nightmares/night terrors. You might try making up a little story and acting it out in your dreams. I've been doing it for my own reasons and I have to say it is pretty awesome.
One of my first vivid dreams I had using the techniques was puzzling. I had the dream a few nights after graduating high school, and it was a dream I had where I was driving the parents' car. Strangely, the landscape of this dream was incredibly different as there were rivers located where the highway would normally be, creating the area to be a large set of islands connected to what is usually the highway overpasses. The strange part of the dream was that I was driving myself home from high school, but everytime I went over one of the overpasses I would use to go there and back, it crumbled and the islands floated away to the lake.
I came so close to a lucid dream once, I had somehow done a reality check in the dream and realized I knew nobody at that house I was at or why I was there, then somehow I flew up into the sky and woke up.
I've noticed a strange half-lucid state or something where my reality checks are giving both results at the same time which is confusing until I realize which of the senses are logical.

Yeah but unfortunately I am god awful at inducing lucid dreams :v:
Is it strange that I don't remember most of my dreams, but I remember certain dreams VERY clearly ( from years ago, when I was a child ).
I remember the exact setting and what I was doing in that moment in these dreams, but I don't know why. I remember one dream very quickly where I was running from gangsters on a pogo stick. I didn't want to get robbed, and my pogo stick was going hundreds of feet into the air.
I recently had a dream where I escaped from jail and then I was suddenly in a car with the girl I liked. I am going to try and go lucid tonight... But I just don't know how.. even with the instructions in the OP, It's still difficult for me to understand.

I recommend following the rule of staying calm as possible. When you notice CEVs like swirls (if you get these) try using the minute finger twitching from FILD.
Per the OP your breathing rate will increase and more then enough times I've woken up from fear or just failed to go into the lucid state because of the fear
EDIT: CEV in question [img]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4f/Closed-eye-visualization.gif[/img]
which comes in varied colors and patterns between persons, It is also controllable (slightly) with enough practice.
My colors in perticular are green swirls that fade from blue into black with a black background pretty much like the illustration.
To keep consciousness I either do simple math in my head, count upward or use one of the techniques listed in the OP.
Most of all , Prepare. Eat , drink , relieve yourself , get comfortable and clear your mind.

Thanks. Going to go try this now. Will post (hopefully successful) results tomorrow.
For the past days, I've had nothing but [sp]wet[/sp] dreams. Hell, last night I had 2.
Any way to solve this?

how old are you? If you're around 13 or so then I think that's normal, I'd have multiple wet dreams a week at that age.
If you're past that stage then I'd suggest masturbating if you don't already.

Yeah, I'm 13. Guess I'll have to deal with the stains until I become older.
Thanks for the response!
Hey guys bit of a weird one, but is it possible to dream to much? I'm having 2+ dreams per night EVERY night. I smoked Cannabis for around 3 years every day on and off, but I quit around a year ago and started having the vivid dreams you experience when you stop smoking. Apparently this is normal so I thought nothing of it because it's apparently supposed to stop but it hasn't. I sleep for 12 hours on average a day and permanently feel tired. I'm also woken up alot during my sleep, but drift back off after a few seconds. Thanks for any replies.
You dream everytime you sleep, you just don't remember your dream most of the time.
I had interesting dream about nuclear war. We were refugees from some big city. At first it seemed like all out world war, but i could feel it that soon it would lash out to be full nuclear war. Then it happened. I could see bright flashes all around the night sky and mushroom clouds rising. I said to the other car driver that i told it would happen any minute.
Dream ended when i was just looking the terrified faces of the other refugees while whole night had turned into yellowish brownish dawn. I could hear stuff exploding around us.
Well that was interesting... Someone walked into my class carrying a large purple umbrella and a iPhone gun. Then proceeds to open the umbrella and shoot at my class. I somehow manage to get out and strut running down the hallway to the office yelling "There's a gunman in 211". At which point they lock down the school. While everything that happens I'm in the office just sitting there answering questions. Then we get a phone call from the police saying the situation was dealt with. At this point I see 3 other students and my teacher just sitting outside the office. They weren't crying or anything just sitting there. I know what had to have happened so then and there I lose it. And soon after one by one everyone else starts to cry.
At which point I wake up because I couldn't take anymore.
Well, I actually had a lucid dream last night. I think it was a result of my chanting "I want lucid" in my head for like an hour while trying to sleep. I ended up going into a dream, which I cannot remember, and then I started to slip back to consciousness because of the construction work going on outside my house. Then I went back into a dream and I was just aware.
I was in some sort of dance party at first. I remember a kid from my class was there just dancing. It wasn't that interesting so I kept walking. In the next room there was an elevator. I told my buddy Matthew to get in the elevator and we went downstairs. When we were there we were in some sort of evil laboratory. Forgot what happened there. Next thing I remember was that I started spinning and moving about to try and change the setting. Then I wanted to see if I could fly, and I actually mastered it pretty quickly. It would seem flailing your arms downward gets the job done.
I fly about a bit, and look at the united states from really high up, for some reason florida is up where maine is and new york is somewhere else, strange and hard to remember. Then I wanted to know what it would be like to swim in the ocean, in the middle of nowhere, with nobody around. I teleported myself there, got really scared of a shark or something, and flew out. There was that evil labratory right there in the ocean, and it was kind of embedded in the ocean.
The lair was in a crater in the ocean, blocking the water with huge rock faces. And I see my friend matthew ( who looks like an XCom operative in this dream, running from some dude who can shoot fire and molten rock. I learned that I could control the elements and It was fun to remove the rock on top of him and collapse the entire ocean on him.
Throughout this dream I slipped in and out of lucidity, and I remember riding a minecart through africa, and some dude punching this other guy in the face. Eventually I slipped completely out of lucidity and was playing a mixture of WarZ/Minecraft. We went into a church and killed two guys and then we logged off. Then I woke up.
I wish I knew how exactly I went into lucidity.. It kind of just happened. Once I was in the dream I didn't want to think about how it happened so much just in case that broke my lucidity or something. I just remembered to start spinning and touching things.
EDIT:
I actually do seem to remember the first dream I started having. McDonalds had a new breakfast bar or something of that sort, and me and my buddy went to check it out. we got on the line and from there somehow ended up riding a minecart through africa.
Had a dream that I ripped open a rapist's chest with a razor blade as he was raping a little kid on a boat dock :v:
OKAY. Also I was road biking and I got a flat tire.
Interpret me~
Last night, I had a dream. It was pretty strange, to say the least.
Anyway, uh. I don't know why, but I was in the body of this one girl that I know.
Most of the dream consisted of me walking around, and people yelling at me, saying that they're disappointed for some reason.
Eventually, I decided to uh, "explore" the body I was in. I put my finger into my(?) vagina, and the feeling was unlike anything I've ever felt before. My mind went "what the fuck" so hard that I woke up.
