It was so funny your mind translated it into illegible garbage for our own sakes because the actual joke would have killed you because you would be laughing so hard.
I had a dream with Emma Watson, Me flying a B-17 around, and having the mark of the outsider (cool powers from dishonored).
Fuckin awesome.
Had a dream this morning where I was crawling under stuff trying to hide from something in a hospital. A man with a revolver walks round the corner and I panic, try to escape, get caught with him standing over me. All I could say was "please don't kill me". He raised the gun to my face and fired. I felt the impact and could feel the blood running down my face, no pain but a sort of numbness crept over me as I slumped over.
For 30 seconds there I laid there bleeding and struggling to move until I realised that I was going to die. Then woke up horrified and carried on with the day.
My subconscious must have some twisted sense of humor, because one of my dreams last night ended up with my mom being attacked by a lion, a tiger, and a bear (Oh my!).
Been able to do this for years, my friend actually mentioned he was dreaming and trying to control it. I asked what did he mean and he described exactly whats in the OP.
I thought most people could control their dreams :/
I dont normally try to go through the motions of inducing it but the waking back up bit really does help, it normally occurs during 3/4am from what I can work out. (woke up n couldnt move the once n checked the clock)
I dont have a problem if I fall asleep thinking about playing guitar for the deftones at a UK festival I can literally run through an entire 25 track set in my sleep but if I try to induce anything else its alot harder and takes me a couple of nights to go for it.
Only dream I can actually remember happened for like, what, five years ago, was more or less just a, well, journey through space and time, amazing vistas, impossible geometries, and creatures I never thought I could imagine, there was cities, and signs of civilization, but no other life than the creatures, but even they did not pass into the cities, I just felt like some sort of spirit in the dream, I've been trying to get more dreams like it, but I've just more or less dremt boring samey dreams, so yeah I dunno, I do hope it wasn't a one-time occurence, though, it was rather amazing
Good morning.
I just woke up. Had a really odd dream...
So basically I got on this bus, right, and it had like 4 seats on each side so it was a REALLY wide bus. Gabe Newell sits down next to me and a bunch of reporters follow him screaming questions at him about "tracking" something, and I stood up and screamed
"GABE NEWELL HAS NO COMMENT"
And then they all walked out. So I asked him what "tracking" meant and he looked at me kind of like how Hagrid did to Harry in the first Harry Potter movie when he says "You're a wizard" and he goes "It means I never searched for it".
(I still have no idea what he meant)
Then there's a gap but next thing I know it's him me and the bald fat guy from The Mummy movie sitting down with a shotgun each looking out the window from the back of the bus, we see a zombie apocalypse going on outside and there's a couple of guys right outside chilling out when one of them turns into a zombie, and then turns back into normal and then a zombie again.
One of them tries to get in but I kick them out.
Then Gabe moves to the drivers seat and he starts driving REALLY fast in a downhill slope, and the hill gets steeper and suddenly there's a lot more passengers on board and in the last slope (which was like a 90 degree angle) we all start falling down towards some trees, and everyone goes "wwwwoooooOOOOOOAAAAAA" and we all start lifting out of our seats because of gravity
and BAM, then I woke up.
WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN
Last night I had a bizarre dream where I may have lucid dreamed? I've never done it before, but I had read some stuff about performing checks and whatnot, and at a certain point I remembered those checks, performed them, and realized I was dreaming. I also felt a really weird full-body tingling sensation as I moved around, similar to when your foot falls asleep.
It didn't last long though and normal dreaming resumed afterward. Just thought I'd write that down somewhere.
so i hardly ever remember dreams
i want to lucid dream
but i know exactly what i'd want to do in it
then i'd regret doing it once i woke up and it was a dream
lucid dream 10 mins ago. thought "the funniest joke in the world" and opened a piece of paper. it read
"i like costa mega more, but hobotid"
God i read that and now i can't stop laughing. That is some weird sentence man.
I'm going to begin trying to lucid I suppose.
Also, what happened to jake anyway?
Been trying to lucid dream for 3 nights now, and last night I woke up three times,
once after the first dream, then after the second I once again tried to get myself into lucid, with no luck.
But right at the end, I could sense I was combing my hair infront of a mirror, and I could feel myself waking up.
I absently thought "gee, too bad Im waking up now....
Instantly I was conscious on the fringe of the dream, and so I remembered to spin. I sorta did that, I guess.
It was like I closed my eyes in dream and I saw one of those signs thats spin with circles of LED's to make a message appear, but from the top.
Then I opened my "eyes" and it was like it was real, except I knew it was a dream.
Not the dreamy blur that you somehow automatically know what it is, but like real clarity.
At that point I tried to close my eyes and change my face to someone elses, only to open them to it just being me making one of those weird "er ma gerd" faces.
Then I was like "whatever, Im done here" and I instantly woke up. sorry for the novel, I haven't had a dream I could control since when I was 8.
Gonna try again tonight, hopefully with better results.
I just had a dream earlier.
My sister and I were inside a department store, which had the regular white floors and the shelves holding all sorts of crap.
We were looking around, and I spotted this thuggish black guy whispering to one of the employees. There was a beeping noise coming from a box in the corner, which got progressively louder.
A person in a uniform, who I would assume to have been the manager, told the employee who was talking to the black guy to take the box to the back. When he returned, the black guy asked him about the status of a bomb or something.
I guessed the bomb was inside the box. I didn't know what was going to happen, but I had a feeling everything was going to go to shit. I grabbed my sister's arm and I just started running.
She didn't know what was going on. Eventually, the two of us were exhausted, since we actually spent a pretty long time running. We were about 1.5 km away from the department store.
And then, there was a huge explosion. It engulfed everything within a 1 km radius. It started a chain of events which would cause my city to experience a localized apocalypse, pretty much.
I don't remember much about what happened between the explosion and the end of the dream.
Near the end of the dream, I was at home. I had gotten separated from my sister, sometime after the blast. The houses in my neighborhood were still fine, compared to the ones in most other parts of the city.
In my basement was one of my friends. He was trying to sleep. He was getting pestered by a small, black dog. He told me to kill it by just snapping its neck or cutting its head off, since after the blast, all sorts of animals have been multiplying their numbers pretty wildly. I tried to kill it, but I just couldn't. I burst out in tears whenever I have to watch a dog dying for some reason. It's probably because I'm really attached to the dog I have now. He got fed up with me, telling me how pathetic and disappointing I am, for not being able to kill a one foot tall dog. Then, he grabbed the dog and snapped its neck. I woke up crying. Sigh.
I attempted to go lucid last night using MILD and I'm sure I was almost there. Everything became warm, I felt a tingling sensation and I heard a buzzing noise. I got excited thinking that this was it, I would lucid dream. That excitement killed it.
:C
I had a dream that I was going through Black Mesa as Commander Shephard, I haven't even played BM:S yet but everything was still all detailed and stuff. I've been playing alot of Mass Effect recently though. :v:
I need to get back to writing down my dreams
Hell yes, had my first lucid dream in a long time.
The rundown of the lucid bits and pieces
How I got in: I didn't use an -ILD technique. Like a few of my lucid dreams, I got in from being partially awake, which happens to me a lot. When I'm halfway awake, I can start thinking but I can still see the dream. At this point I decided to go back into the dream, so I made sure to stop moving my waking body. Although I didn't immediately realize that I was dreaming, I thought about the physical sensations I had been feeling and just said to myself, "Oh, I'm dreaming. Cool"
Stabilizing, etc.: After realizing I was dreaming, I started strolling along and seeing some seriously funky destabilization. It was like graphical errors on crack, and not only in my vision but every single one of my senses. I got super lucky at this point and actually remembered all of my preparations that I usually forget, which leads to a quick ending. Instead I saw the glitches, recognized the problem, and started clapping, then put a pair of clean glasses on. Pretty quickly everything well back to normal. Just to be safe, I did a bit of spinning etc. and a nose pinch reality check. After feeling the air impossibly flow through my nose, I messed around for a bit, interacting with whatever came my way as I was walking. Then I remembered my primary dream goal.
The goal: For quite a while now, my primary dream goal has been to drink some potions to improve my lucid dreaming. The potions I drank in this dream weren't quite what I wanted to drink, but they were pretty good choices. First I drank a potion of stabilization, second a potion of control over the dream, and last was a potion to make me always lucid dream. I don't know if they'll stick, but I sure hope they do. The potion that I wanted to drink but forgot, which is non-arguably the most important one, was a potion of permanent perfect dream recall. I mean, who needs to train your brain to remember dreams when you can just tell it you want to?
The rest of the dream (aka funtime): At some point I ended up at a museum thing with my friends, and I messed around with the field for some game. I had various issues with having my "eyes" open, I'm not really sure what was going on then. At this point the dream was fading from my control. I tried getting back to my house, but I was stick in endless grassy green rolling hills. At this point I gave up and my recollection cuts off there.
Overall I think I was successful in my ventures, except I think my summoning of the potions wasn't especially great, I kept grabbing my shirt.
I always keep forgetting to write my dreams in my dream journal.
What are some foods that induce dreaming? I rarely recall my dreams, and would like to. I know cinnamon does, as well as mustard, but I don't like mustard. Spicy food is supposed to induce nightmares, so I hear. Anything else?

Peanut butter banana toast stimulates mental activity in general. I've never tried it for dreaming but I hear it works wonders.
i've been meaning to post in here about this. hopefully someone can help interpret this dream i've been thinking about.
4 years ago my older brother committed suicide. i used to have frequent dreams about him. i don't remember any, unfortunately, i just remember dreaming about him and him consuming a lot of my thought. this is the first time i've dreamt about him in a really long time. anyway, heres the excerpt from my journal:
So I dreamt last night that Jono was still alive, and had just ran away from home to some dangerous far away neighbourhood. I was convinced he was dead, though, and had no memory of him ever actually leaving home. The dream started with me walking into the kitchen, and my mum telling me that we were going to visit Jono. I was really confused and thought he had died but I guess I was wrong. At this point I thought to myself something along the lines of "I remember dreaming about Jono in the past, maybe I just dreamt that he died and am having trouble distinguishing between dreams and reality". My mum also told me that we went to dinner with him the week before, then I had a sudden memory of him standing outside outback steakhouse. Nobody else was there at all, it was totally isolated, and he looked really reluctant to be there. My mum then gave me some kind of soft drink and told me to throw it in his face as a joke when we saw him. I refused. We were also, for some reason, bringing our own food, we ordered pizza to take. I remember these people carrying the pizza up my stairs, in the dream I recognized them as either relatives or family friends, but they didn't resemble anybody I knew in real life. The next part was a bit confusing, but for some reason the dinner just didn't happen, I asked. y mum for Jono's address and remember running really fast there to try and find him. It was a dangerous looking neighbourhood at night time and nobody seemed to be there. That's the last part I remember. When I woke up it took me a couple of minutes to realize that it was a dream and that Jono was still dead, it felt particularly real because of that thought I had about dreaming that he was dead. I was really confused for a while.
Do you guys really feel it or you remember like "i did this in this dream"
Do you guys really feel it or you remember like "i did this in this dream"
What do you mean? Feelings in general? I do feel things when dreaming, I had only one lucid dream since the first time I tried to do it (2 years ago), although I never took it too seriously. My dreams became a lot more vivid though and I can say for sure that I do feel things and I'm almost certain that I do things just the way I'd do them in real life.
I'm going to begin trying to lucid I suppose.

Jake resolved all his issues and moved on with his life
Made for one helluva story though
Do you guys really feel it or you remember like "i did this in this dream"
A lot of times I wake up thinking about things I'm absolutely certain actually happened, then as the day wears on I'll think of it again and realize "Wait a minute, that's not possible." If you mean lucids then yes, they feel just as real as typing this message does.
Had a really messed up dream about being in the Holocaust or something. All I remember about the beginning was seeing a bunch of rubble, maybe Hitler in an old baige photo, and a broken leg. I walked on it for a while to get to the rest of my family and then (after it somehow healed) I ran through a town and through people's houses to get to some refuge in a school. A bunch of nonsensical stuff after that.
Weird dream:
I was driving a train like one of those in HL1,and stopped near this old unstable looking factory like building. I stepped inside, and there was this white weird skinny thing that looked like a malnourished orc mixed with an alien and it spun around and was jittering and lagging everywhere like a bugged Gmod ragdoll. To add to the funnyness,Remove Kebab was also playing. I asked the thing what's it's name and it screamed: MY NAME IS GIYGAS AND THIS IS MY WEPON. He then took out a strange thing that looked like a dick made out of shit, then proceeded to get all stretched and deformed like when a HL1 Gargantua dies. Suddenly Gaben falls from the ceiling, except that his beard is long all the way to the floor. He says: MY NAME IS GABEN AND THIS IS MY EPISODE 3 PRESENTATION. I then start flying around like i have a jet in my ass and fly to an ugly blocky land and there is Jeb speaking some trash. The end.
Do you guys really feel it or you remember like "i did this in this dream"
Being in a good quality lucid dream is as real as reality itself, sometimes even "realer" as your dream senses are heightened and sharpened to the max. Kinda like being on acid.
If your dream recall is good then you'll remember it just like something that you did 10 minutes ago. If your recall is bad then the memory will be fuzzy and you need to improve.
i had this lucid dream months ago that i probably induced by sleeping for a short period of time (4-5 hrs) and going to bed again after staying up for like 2-3 hours
basically it felt like a computer game of some kind; i was in this building with probably mid-late 19th century architecture and it felt like a train station or factory or something. from what i could gather, it was haunted and i literally had a weapon in hand and i could manipulate it fully
i roamed the building and i felt strong malice from a foreign presence. i went to the basement of the building and it was more or less a boiler room. something made a terrible, heart-stopping screech and i basically just hauled ass out of there
then i woke up
rip
How do i DILD,since according to the instruction you need to reality check while in a dream. But how do i do that when i don't control anything?
