Sounds like my first few months of practising lucidity.
[editline]12th December 2012[/editline]
Slept too little to remember any dreams from last night, but what I do remember is that when I was falling asleep, I got a hypnagogic auditory hallucination of a dog's bark right next to me and it startled me awake.

Awesome, now make it happen! Just let it go, you'll probably get to flying after you've banged all the girls you wanted to.
I never seem to be able to realize that I'm dreaming, unless I'm having a nightmare. If so my reaction is pretty much say "fuck this shit" and wake myself up (to do so I open my eyes, somehow).
Reading through the thread has convinced me to start keeping a dream journal, I usually can recollect small bits of my dream in great detail for a couple minutes though. My dreams seem significantly odder than most of the people in this thread though.
Letting my mind come up with dreams seems more interesting to me than lucid dreaming though, my mind comes up with significantly cooler/stranger ideas than I do(somehow??).
Back when I used to frequently LD I would do the number check - just double-take it and it will change. That, or I could use real-life logic (which is hard at first).
Had a dream that involved a japanese girl, pet polar bear cub, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. All in one as well. Good stuff.
But it was one of the most amazing dreams I can remember having, and I don't know why.
Anyone else have something like this?
Yeah. Details of it faded over time and, like a genius, I didn't write any of it down right away. But I can remember waking up and immediately trying to get back to sleep. I was kind of desperate. I'd love to know what I was dreaming about that was so great...
But of course, the excitement or constant thoughts going around in my head made it impossible to sleep so I never made it.
Only ever happened once.
Last night's dream was a complete mindfuck. It was set in an underground complex of some kind, and over several timelines all layered on top of eachother. I was part of a group that consisted of one girl (long, red hair was her most distinguishable feature, she was a tomboyish type) and two guys, one of which was me.
In the dream, our group of friends went into an abandoned factory when we were children, and the factory led to the underground complex. We got stuck there for several years, constantly fighting monsters of various kind that were living in the complex. Also the time periods were layered on top of eachother so our group would be helping us when we were kids, and other "us" from the past and future would help our group in the present, and from time to time it'd be us helping ourselves from 5 minutes ago that we just saw helping our group 5 minutes ago, but it was actually us. Getting confused even thinking about this fucking dream. We also tried stopping ourselves from ever entering the complex in the first place (the group of kids that we were several years ago) but something would always get in the way or fail, because if we succeeded it'd be a time paradox.
But wait, it gets better.
At the end, I remember helping another timeline's group of us, escape a giant worm-snake hybrid monster by collapsing a bridge into a large research chamber. But... I then stumbled on a door that was completely out of place. It had a button on it. I pressed the button, and a countdown began. From 10 to 0, and as it reached 0 the world disappeared.
..
And I woke up on an operating table, as did my friends. The entire thing was a "shared dream" or virtual reality, that some crazy scientists had made us experience. The countdown was their voice, while they were letting us out after I found the "button".
AND IT GETS even more fucked up
Suddenly one of the monsters, a violet, huge ghost dog with long fur and red eyes, appeared between one of the scientist's legs and surprised everyone. "Characters from the virtual world shouldn't appear in the real one!" he said before dying horribly. Another scientist tried to stop the dog but being a ghost, it just phased through the guy. The red-haired girl who was one of my dream-friends was also awake at this point and tried to assault the dog - but the dog picked up a CD-cover and threw it at the girl, and it chopped off her arm. The last thing I remember of the dream was the girl saying "my arm.. wow, I lost an arm" while a huge spray of blood comes out of the stump
The dream reminded me a bit of this movie
Last night my girlfriend went lucid without even trying or knowing what lucid dreaming is, I'm so jelly.
She was in a grocery store with Justin Beiber looking for meat for burgers, until she realized she wouldn't be at the grocery store with Justin Beiber, and she doesn't even like him and decided it must be dream, which is when she became lucid. She couldn't decide what to dream about and walked into the back of the store where there were many people who had committed suicide hanging from the ceiling.
A friend also went lucid without trying.
Just went to sleep during the day.
Found himself in a geometry class. He thought:"What the fuck, I am in the bed?" and stood up, hit himself by the checks.
The teacher said:"*** sit down"
He replied:"Shut the fuck up it's my dream"
Then he transformed walls and did some crazy shit.
i have a bad habit of intentionally waking myself up from nightmares when i become lucid in them
would be better if I tried to turn them into good dreams instead of just waking up.
hey guys, haven't posted here in a while. i just got an android today so im going to start using the rem tracking app thing. time to get back to the lucids.
Had my third lucid dream today. It's been months since my last one, but I haven't really been trying.
And plus I just happened to realize I was lucid without checking anything. I just remember thinking how I wanted to fly, then looked around and everything was normal in my bedroom, yet somehow I knew it was a dream. Since I was in the room and wanted to go outside, I somehow squeezed my way through the 3 inch wide openings in the shutter blinds in my room. Then I was outside hovering over my lawn, and it seemed to end shortly after that to my alarm clock. But it was awesome none the less.
Hey, does anyone here have special dreams occasionally that feel just flat out great?
Im talking about dreams with clear characters, places, pasts, events, ect. Places that feel full and real, like you can stay in them forever. They may not follow logic, but they feel so...right.
Most of the time, I can look back on a dream and feel an emotion associated with it. Like some dreams, I feel guilt, others I feel happy or content. But last night I had a dream where, when I think back, I feel complete bliss. It was nothing special, had a crazy plot and played like a video game/reality mix. A few people I know were there, but whom I never associate with.
But it was one of the most amazing dreams I can remember having, and I don't know why.

I have a recurring cast of characters, if you will. I've actually started writing a story about the stuff that's "happened." It's set in some sort of semi-realistic sci-fi universe where there's no light speed so traveling anywhere takes weeks, people use swords instead of guns because shields can block bullets but not blades, and there's only two or three different non-human races capable of space travel. A lot of stuff feels like it came almost directly from other sources, for instance the organization 'we' all work for feels very much like the SCP Foundation, but it's still oddly fun to jump in and see what happens.
[editline]14th December 2012[/editline]
I feel obliged to mention I have never banged any alien chicks.
I had a dream last night but all I can remember is that I saw Gabe Newell brand chocolate banana yogurt.
A lot of small parts in my dreams have been coming true.. It's tripping me out hard
So I tried out that lucid dreaming android app last night.

Either I am the world's most inneficient sleeper or this thing isn't working right.
Anyone know how to fix this?
[editline]14th December 2012[/editline]
I sure as hell didn't wake up 12 times
I dreamed last night about fighting Marines alongside a bunch of futuristic super-assassins that looked like this. I remember distinctly our leader saying "There's one fundamental difference between us. They're Marines; unlike them, we're dangerous." We then proceeded to mop the floor with everyone we came in contact with.
Today I decided to take a nap. I had a short dream, don't remember most of it, but at the end, I was laying down on the ground and someone stomped on my torso. I woke up right after from like a shock/jolt. Is there a name for those sorts of dreams? I'm not really sure what it was, felt real.
Had a dream where the only thing I remember is tripping Slender man and pulling his mask off.
Dreamed me and my friend were being chased on our bikes by chainsaw wielding zombies. We were calm as fuck though. The dream ended by my biking straight through a fence(didn't feel a thing and completely demolished 20 feet of wooden fence), and then Andrew Lincoln came out of nowhere and ran me over in a white pickup.
I remember dreaming about being in some sort of FPS - you had to rob a bank and there were three teams (bank robbers, S.W.A.T. and a team with cashiers for some reason).
The only part of the dream I remember is going inside one of the vents the bank had and shooting a SWAT in the face. I wish I dreamed about that again, was a pretty fun dream
I get videogame-like dreams sometimes and they make me worry about spending too much time playing games
I dont get dreams often, 'least I cant remember them. Got one last night.
Gymnasium of sorts, people in various positions. I had to touch a specific part of their body so they could leave, and was able to jump/slide like a video game character. I recall having to poke someone in the eye and several asses. (no idea)
Afterwards there was one person left who for some reason seemed familiar, I just cant remember the face. Bit shorter than I was and wearing colourful clothes. This person led me out of the gymnasium and into a school, there was a christmas celebration going on.
I ate a gingerbread cookie and thought just how strange this was, then I woke up.
Could've been worse.
I'm thinking about getting a Remee. Should I?
I keep having this recurring theme in my dreams where I'm somehow bitten by a zombie. I never turn, I either immediately off myself as soon as I get the chance or it just ends beforehand. Concerning.
Damnit! So close! Had a dream about a big hairy blob monster with a huge mouth was chasing me, then I randomly shouted out "Yeah, cause that's real." and then I was like 'I'm lucid dreaming! FINALLY!" and woke up.
So I started taking multivitamins the other day and I've been dreaming (or remembering my dreams) every day since - whereas before I could rarely recollect a dream.
Pretty sweet.
Guys what do you think of Hypnosis videos for lucid dreaming like this one?

I've got pneumonia and am running a fever, so when I can actually get to sleep my dreams are pretty fucking insane. Hopefully I'll have some content later, all I remember now is a false awakening in which my house was upside down and in the ocean. I just shook my head and went back to bed.
Had a rather long plot-dream thing. Don't really remember much of it now.
B McG: I had a very strange dream
B McG: I remember a one-liner from it though
B McG: Badguy driver: "Man, if you don't stop that, I'm gonna brake!" Me: "Yes, you will *car flips frontwards*"
B McG: it was awful but I loved it
I had my first completely lucid dream(that didn't explode into a bunch of scary faces that try to make my ears explode)
I was in a desert-like place. There is some weird soviet-ish building. I entered it and i saw a army of me dressed as SWAT inside. A scary thing appeared but the SWAT didn't do anything. I said "let's get done with this already". I attempted to spawn a knife, but it didn't work,as it spawned a fork. I took it and started to eat the monster alive(i had a bad day). When i was done,i saw a blob. It said it was my sub so i decided to keep it as a companion. A sign said: "conscious level,up. subconscious level, down." But the subconscious level was blocked with a sign saying"area unavailable at the moment" But then a fat spider-human-cow thing materialized out of nowhere and ate the blob and i woke up.
