I fucking want a lucid dream, it sounds so awesome. [editline]24th February 2012[/editline] Also, whenever I have this sexy dream where I fuck the girl next door and have a huge boner and talk naughty, is there a chance i'll talk IRL? Because my family says I talk in my sleep and I dont want them to know what I dream about :v:
I'm a gun buff, so that's why the gun descriptions are so in-depth. This is the first very vivid dream I've had in a while, I might expand it into a story. >I'm a sniper >On a mountain, near the edge of a cliff >My spotter is to my left >Strange plants in every direction >Chey-Tac M200-esque rifle in my hands, but with Bakelite+wood pulp furniture and chambered in 12.7mm >500 meters to my front is another cliff, on top of which are cars and members of a cartel >They're fighting with some people on my side of the cliff >They're exchanging shots that chip away at the cliff, sending shrapnel whizzing pass my head >I line up a shot on a man with a red shirt and AKS74u >I pull the trigger >*click* >No round in the chamber, I'm a fucking retard >I work the bolt >It's hard, I'm disoriented from the pollen excreted by the strange plants >With effort I chamber a round >Line up a shot on a white-shirted man, standing on the edge of the cliff >I fire >The round goes straight through his belly, disemboweling him >He falls, blood pouring off him >His shirt is stained with blood >Stare for a minute >Wake up in a warm sweat
Interesting, you made the M200 cool by making it Russian.
Interesting, you made the M200 cool by making it Russian.
yeah it was more of a tube with bakelite and a retractable, fully adjustable stock had a pso-1 iirc
I'm gonna keep trying to WILD at night because it's the only way I can. No success yet probably because there's a slim chance of it even happening; but I shall ACHIEVE THIS
I just about got back into dusk and had some awesome half-sleeping dreams, but I was rudely interrupted by my teacher, who apparently thinks I shouldn't sleep in class.

Facepunch, have you ever had any life changing dreams? I might have had one recent, though I had forgotten it for a little bit, it came back to me as I drift off last night. I close my eyes... And open them to hills. Bright. Green. Vivid and filled with life. I blink. Thunder strikes. My paradise blue sky turns crimson, and my hills of life become tainted with blood and death. I look at my hands, and I have dark black gauntlets on. To my right, I see a corpse pile, each body having it's heart removed. I feel my hand grasp an object, so I lift it up. It is a blade of pure malice. It's core is human skin, with a demonic eye in it's center and a gaping Maw to match. I stab the blade into the ground, and screams erupt from it. I see a small child was lying there. My sword pours blood as I watch, helplessly, as the ground swallows both whole. I see troops on horseback charge over a hill at me, but a deft swipe of my hands bifurcated them. Suddenly, a sharp pain in my chest. I look down. Someone stabbed me in my heart. It's a woman with long black hair and a kimono. She steps back, pulling the sword out. I fall to the ground, and look up. The woman is now my sub's form, with a suit and blank face. "you have become that which you despise. Your own disdain for this has caused your constructs to turn upon you. Your inner paradise has fallen, John. And you with it." :ohdear:

Probably something to do with how differently time passes in dreams. [editline]24th February 2012[/editline]
Facepunch, have you ever had any life changing dreams? That's heavy.
The most moving dreams I've had are a special set of dreams where I felt various emotions I had never felt before, like fatherhood and other types of things that take special circumstances
i had a dream today, as soon as i figured out i was dreaming i tried not to wake up. I got goosebumps all over my body. Shit was so hot
Oh my god I ALWAYS have hypnagogic hallucinations whenever I try to enter my dream while going to sleep, last night I had a god damn horrifying one where I heard "Will you help me?", as I opened my eyes, there was a white spider-thingy looking at me and asking for help what the fuck, it creeped me the FUCK out, and then I proceed to sleep normally because I'm too scared of it. I have it nearly 2 times a week, and i guess that it's the only thing stopping me from having lucid dreams.
I had an interesting dream. I was doing something and I got stuck in an alternate universe where pollution was abhorred, and all technology was pseudo-steampunk. They world was very peaceful, and then a bomb went off. There was lava in the streets, and I begged for help from a shoe store. Also, this whole time I was barefoot :v:
God, I’m tired. Legs are numb. Clothes are sticking to every inch of my skin. My rifle is rusty, and I lost my knife. The sun’s about to come up, I think. Watch has been broken for a while now. Ants are crawling on me and the bugs in the trees buzz and screech. My mind is as numb as my body. I’ve been walking east for about twenty minutes, towards the faint light on the horizon. I don’t even feel the sting of the thorns anymore. Mud doesn’t itch like it used to. Some blood’s on my neck, but it dried a while back. Might not be mine. I honestly don’t remember. I massage my temples with my bony mitt of a hand hand, looking for relief from this stress-induced migraine. I’ve always had an appreciation for nature, but the jungle is different. The jungle isn’t a miracle of nature. It’s a festering blight of savage violence and pugnacious intercourse. It’s hell. There’s mold in my helmet. Blood in my shoes. I saw some spiders run between my ripped pants and my boot, they’re probably still on me somewhere. If I stop I’ll die of dehydration and infection. If I keep walking I’ll die of exhaustion and infection. The best case scenario is death by infection. Wonderful. The light to the east is getting brighter, sunup must be soon. I’ll die in that heat. The gnats will eat me alive. Fuck the jungle. Burn every last inch of it. I’m nearing the crest of a hill. Wedging myself between the vines is starting to take a toll on my skin, rashes are breaking out everywhere. Squeezing the suffocating vines, I notice a fog rolling in from the east. The fog is illuminated with a brilliant lambency, an incarnadine beauty unlike I’ve ever seen. My feet are lighter. My clothes ease their grip on my body, I feel quick and agile. I walk effortlessly into the void, hurrying into a soft jog. The light’s getting brighter, and I see buildings. Clean, shiny buildings, materializing from inside the fog. An amazing euphony rings in my ears. There’s a Magach tank burning brightly in the street, its flame echoing through the cityscape. The light on the horizon it getting brighter now, glad I still have my Aviators. I stop and slip them on with gusto, and begin walking with a brisk pace towards the bright, undulating orange light. The fog disappears in an instant. The ground warps and bends like sheet metal shaking in the wind. Buildings crumble around me, and the light is brighter than ever.
end dream what the fuck am i on, these dreams are awesome
a couple nights ago I had a really pretty dream, I was a wolf leaping cliff to cliff, and whenever I went over a cliff a bunch of birds would fly by. there were waterfalls and jungles and I was just jumping along. at one point I said "are you just making this pretty to show off your abilities?" for some reason, and a big voice just chuckled, and I saw a giant hand made from sand make a sandstorm. that's all I can remember, I'm not good at describing things, but it was really cool flying by cliffs. I'm not sure why I was a wolf.
When ever I realize I'm dreaming in a dream, something bad happens. Such as a GIANT FUCKING SPIDER APPEARING AND DESTROYING MY HOUSE. Got any ideas why this is happening? It's kinda getting annoying as I can never do anything.
Last night was a good dream. Plot was about me getting a ghost-girl put to rest after she had died years back and had became a haunt. It was scary at first, kind of a nightmare, but it turned around into a good one after I decided to help her out. Several things of her background were revealed along the dream, it culminated in a touching scene where I finally managed to help her move on.

I sleep terribly, and I have a feeling that it's my bed (it has no support in the middle and very little support around the edge).
Well, I had a dream last night in which a green-haired girl with black eyes taught me to throw knives. It works in the waking world too. I do not know how to feel about this.
Had a semi-lucid dream recently. Was on a boat moving slowly through thick fog, occasionally passing a few islands. On one island, me and another guy got off and began exploring the foggy island. For some reason, the question "What do you think is the scariest monster in existence?" came up. At this point, my semi-lucid self was like "Oh shit.. here we go." I started panicking and my heart rate sped up as the ground moved and formed a mossy cloak like thing around two figures up atop a hill we were walking up. Both of the figures were walking sort of parallel to us. The two figures froze and began to turn around, their face's were pretty messed up. I don't remember too many details, but it was pretty messed up. They started coming at us and at this point my dream faded out. I was pretty pissed at myself that I didn't try and take hold of the dream and fight back. Oh well, maybe next time.

As usual, Saturday morning granted me numerous awesome dreams. I had a string of dreams involving me being a badass helicopter pilot who gets all the ladies. I went on a giant lion-hunting safari with my helicopter with a pole tied up under it.
I had a dream that my entire town got free ultra-fast internet, all popular basketball players formed a new team, and then I sat down on the toilet. It was a really nice dream, but I was woken up after only a few minutes on the toilet :C
Had a trippy dream about being a citizen in the middle of the Sahara desert, and escaping from the country's dictator and being chased by them and their underlings. Somehow ended up in space, overlooking the entire universe at the same time and then the milky way galaxy appeared in front of me, absolutely stunning, and a disembodied voice said "this is life", and then I woke up.
I've tried to have a lucid dream for about a week now, it doesn't seem like the WILD option works for me... Reality checks is something I'd have to remember to do and I don't even remember my birthday, so that is not an option. Mild usually do not work seeing as even though I repeat something like that in my head it does not make me become lucid. WBTB does not seem to work either...
Had a dream about cruising around downtown with this cute girl I know and her friend. We ran into my other friend, who proceeded to run away. We later got croissants, and I talked about how awesome my Kindle Fire is. i cannot into interesting dreams
Someone earlier said they didn't dream in the past two days, whoever it was, eat BANANAS on TOAST before bed. We are doing abstract dream shit in drama at school, and people were saying what they know about dreams. was fucking hilarious can't remember what people said though :v:

When you get stressed out in dreams, stuff can sometimes change to match that, i.e. giant spiders destroying your house. If not, whenever you get lucid, just rub your hands together or clap. Another reason could (and is most likely) the power of expectation. What you think will happen will happen. A possible solution in this instance, considering that you said the issues were largely tangible, would be to actually deal with it in the dream. As a good tip, it's your dream, in your head. Anything you don't pay attention to cannot exist.
