I became semi lucid last night, holy shit that was the most exciting thing ever. I was having a dream that I was at my old primary school that I haven't seen in over 5 years and I can't really recall what I was doing there I just remember having to run really fast away from something and shouting everyone else to run too. There was this weird light blue glowy orb thing, I still have no idea what it was but I ran over to it, reached out and touched it. I remember saying to myself HOLY SHIT WAIT A SECOND I'M DREAMING, THIS IS A DREAM! I could feel the orb in my hands and look around me, the excitement woke me up though. Holy shit.
I've had nightmares where i'm being stalked by something, and they're scary. But last night I had a dream where I was trying to escape these guys. It was so spectacularly un-terrifying it was actually fun!
Took a nap today and had a double bad dream. I was staying in this big, almost mansion style old house with my family. In the night a criminal broke in and attacked my dad. I think originally he killed him but my dream later re-wrote things so he was just injured. Then after the rewrite my dad went off to track the man down and for some reason I had to stay in the mansion alone and I was terrified the criminal would return. Then after some more blurry changes in plot, my grandmother had just died and this mansion was her house. For some reason I still had to spend the night there, and her corpse was out in the hall covered by a sheet. Needless to say I didn't want to go out there.
Had a dream about driving an electric car.
I keep having dreams about playing games in which I can feel myself using the mouse to look around and WASD to move, but gradually I start to gain complete control over my character until I'm moving the way I normally move. The most recent one was about some weird truck simulator in which the objective is to drive around a city to deliver something, but everything around you is exploding. I gained control of myself when I stopped at a gas station to get some chips. It was weird as shit, not as weird as the one about Skyrim but still fucking weird.
Cool thread! This dream I had last night made me felt like I was in one of Pixar's movies in the making. There was another world like ours below the surface where the humans lived. It's run by monsters, and I was one of them. Just like you usually expect to see in Pixar films, all the wondrous light tones, the CGI feel to it, the zany styles on the characters. It was crazy. I'm a monster who goes to school like the humans would, and I had a couple friends I hang out with. There seemed to be some crazy rule that if you broke one of the traditions, you're banished to the "top" but the monsters never really knew what's up there(aside from the powerful societies who knew about it). Apparently a human accidentally entered our world, and it was up to us to try and help her out, but we were wary about the surface, and we were later banished to go up there as well. Four of us including the girl went to the surface, and we were just amazed how vivid and bright it was, and so on forth. I thought it was neat. Later on, we found out there's some people who knew about the monsters and want to destroy us, so we went to stop them, and in the end peace blossomed between us thanks to the help of the human girl.
I had a dream that two people close to me died. One of them was my girlfriend and I can't remember who the other was. I was on a beach, i looked up and noticed a man standing next to two caskets on the shore line. I ran up to him as as he pushed them out to sea. I bowed my head as they floated off. I didn't see my girlfriend die, or her body in the casket in this dream, i jusy kinda knew. What does this mean?

[editline]15th January 2013[/editline] Actually, now that I take a closer look at the details, it sounds like Monsters, Inc. to an almost creepy extent. Helping a human girl, being banished to their world...
I had a lucid dream last night. I was in a dank stone room with my sister when I said, "Hey! I'm dreaming!" I asked my sister to tell me I'm dreaming the next time I am, but she yelled no. I went to the living room and yelled, "Hey! I want another dream scene!" I found myself on the beach and, deciding to fly, ran up and took off. I started dropping because I thought people couldn't fly, but leveled off in Venezuela. The end.
Had a semi-lucid dream that I was walking around a mall in just my underwear. Was pretty odd if you ask me. Woke up with blood on my pillow and a bloody nose. I don't even.

I had a dream where I just found out that my family is like a mafia and my father and my uncles were the main figures. After the death of my uncle, they told me that his son will inherit his position while I will be sent to some training so I can inherit my father's position. Then my mother took me to a weapons store and bought me a really fancy SMG, which I recall to look like a MP5 with a silencer on it. It also had a price tag and written on it was 1;997. Then the last thing I remember was my mom then took me to a hotel named "Casa Mutiara" (which is oddly the name of my apartment in another city ) and in it was supposed to have a gun range where I can start my training, but then we stopped at a huge empty room where other peole keep their guns and I get to look at fancy ass rifles and stuff. Dream ended when we left the room for the gun range though. Man, a part of me wished it was true.
I usually lurk this thread, but finally i got a really crystal meth clear dream. I'll just note it down. It was a normal BF3 game. The scene seemed like a rally track. I chose an Assault class, started COD-ish movements (Duck jump duck jump duck jump) The objective, was to kill a well known asian criminal. I don't remember this, but somewhat i came to the place where i live. Just close. So some action packed shit happens, i'm pretty sure its not that interesting for you guys, but the guy is not dieing. I shot him like 6 shots, the guy is a walking dead for sure. They go to backside without shooting, and damn i'm out of ammo. I'm sure going to catch him and kill him with my fists. They enter the same map, but theres a swimming pool just next to me, and a harpoon inside it. We both look at ourselves, and jump at the same time. I'm going to get it, but i cant fucking move! I cant swim? The asian got the harpoon, he's going to blast my brains out for sure. Milliseconds of it right in my face, i woke up. Seems like i numbed my two arms.
I wonder why my dreams are so random, they never really have a coherent stlye. There is usually a theme which is combined with random objects and persons from my past or future.
Had several dreams last night. First one, I was overseeing some kind of challenge competition, where people would go from room to room and there would be a new challenge in each. In one of the football field sized rooms, we made the entire thing a big bed of nails, and the contestants had to walk over them. They came in and were shocked. Then some dream randomness happened, a monster-horse appeared and I somehow tamed it, and I rode around with the thing while laughing at the contestants tripping into the nails. Then woke up During the night I once woke up from strongly kicking my wall while feeling very angry, it was a dream where I was fighting something or someone, can't remember details though. In yet another dream, me, my sister, father and uncle, were in a car at a gas station refilling it. A fire broke out, and we all ran like hell about 100m away and ducked behind some bumps, as the gas station exploded in a massive ball of flame. "Is that it?" I thought, but it was not. The flames got sucked back into the hole, apparently into the underground storage tanks. A few seconds later, it just blew the fuck up in an explosion so bright that it was like looking into the sun even with our eyes closed (I'm pretty sure this was the Remee blinking, too bad I didn't realize it in the dream). We ran and ran, and then it started raining. Hooray! Or? It wasn't water. The entire city area was raining gasoline, thrown into the clouds by the gas station exploding. We had to find shelter fast, before the station's fire would set it ablaze and engulf the entire city in flames. We found a small house. We entered, and there was a woman sleeping, apparently ill, and we asked her permission to take a shower in the sauna behind her. She agreed. I woke up at this point, but presumably we survived the blast thanks to taking a shower Another dream was a WILD. I rose from my bed, but everything was dark - there was simply no dream created yet. I imagined falling down onto a beach and the beach scene slowly appeared in front of me, I felt the sand and blam I was there, as vivid as real life. Then a tsunami appeared. I climbed on a hill but it was so huge that it simply washed over the entire island, taking me with it into an immensely powerful current and out to the sea, I could breathe underwater though. I found myself in the middle of the sea with no land in sight. Me and some others. A small boat was floating nearby so we climbed on top. At this point the dream started degrading from lucidity to just a very vivid normal dream. We travelled on the boat across the ocean, found another island but it was controlled by pirates. We took it over. Woke up at this point, I think. My longest dream of the night was about an alternate reality invading our own, a bunch of fantasy monsters led by an evil sorceress. Me and another guy were Earth's superheroes, able to fly with some kind of wings and unleash massively damaging rocket attacks and so on. Most of the dream consisted of fighting the monsters in various locations, also we helped a SWAT team raid a movie theater that had been taken over by the evil guys. And I just remembered, the entire thing was a forced virtual reality caused by some kind of brain chip that we couldn't take out of our heads - we were stuck in it until we could either defeat the sorceress or find an exit. We weren't the only ones stuck in this world though, some others had been there so long that they rather suicided than stay there any longer. I saw some girl jump off a big hotel's top floor straight into a swimming pool, dying it red in blood. And another just shot himself in the head. Later in the dream we found out the only other way of exiting this reality, some guy told this to us. You had to travel in space for 40 trillion years, find a certain neutron star and dive into its core. It was apparently a horrible experience, not only the time to travel there but the gravity would tear you up and you would still somehow be conscious when reaching the core, feeling the almost black hole-like pressure around you. Most people would go mad at that point, the person said. And that explained the suicides, they were people who just couldn't cope with that experience after attempting to escape via the neutron star. Then I woke up And went to sleep again, only to find myself in the same world. During the time that had passed when I was awake, the world had advanced forward several years, and the Earth had been taken over completely. Time flowed at a different rate in this dream world compared to real life, so being awake for a few minutes made the dream skip forward like that. The other superhero had given up, and so did I. I became "depressed" (it was like watching a movie, so I didn't actually feel depressed, just knew that my character was) and buried my superhero power pack under a tree. Time skipped again because of the "depression". I saw the tree age in front of my eyes as several years more passed, but suddenly I regained my fighting spirit and the time normalized again. I dug up the power pack (that included my wings and so on) and as I was putting it on, I heard a bike gang chase some guys. So I put on the pack and flew around them, shooting rockets with my hands and blowing them up. At this point the sorceress attacked and after some fighting, my situation is looking grim. The monster army is just growing and the sorceress is unbelievably strong, no way I could defeat her in battle. BUT I saved the world by flying into her cunt and fucking her into submission. THE END
Lucid dream achieved summon girl amirite [editline]19th January 2013[/editline] My dreams landscapes can get pretty extravagant now
last night after I woke up after a dream, I wrote in my dream notes as there was a "foreign" sentence I wanted to record, it was p funny then at morning, I check the notes and there's nothing at all, just a blank paper fucking false awakenings
Had a dream that i was in one of my old schools, was just listening to the teacher when i realized that the classroom was my own living room, I said to myself 'wait how can this be my living room when i'm in school, this must be a dream'. And nothing happened and the dream went on like any other dream. no lucid at all. Fuck you brain.
last night after I woke up after a dream, I wrote in my dream notes as there was a "foreign" sentence I wanted to record, it was p funny then at morning, I check the notes and there's nothing at all, just a blank paper fucking false awakenings
That's pretty nuts.
I've tried the whole lucid dreaming business a few times, but two things usually halt my progress: 1, too fucking lazy to write down my dreams when I wake up, and 2, fear of sleep paralysis. I get scared by really dumb things (like the supernatural) very easily so the idea of sleep paralysis scares the shit out've me. Though a few nights ago I had a dream I kinda "explored" through thoughts after waking up, because it was so interesting, so I remember it. I was in this medieval-style village with my family (totally different family than my real one, but dream logic), and suddenly shit got really bad as this gigantic molten dragon started fighting this huge magma thing that looked a bit humanoid. An elemental, for those who are nerdy like me. For some reason, I recognized what they were: apparently primordial beasts from the dawn of time. The magma dude was being held in the city I lived in, and was dormant or otherwise passive until it discovered its mortal enemy (the dragon) who had flown over the city. They started fighting in this volcano a few miles from the city, where the one was sleeping, and everything started panicking as molten rock fell from the skies, and there was this huge light show coming from the summit. It was like a premise of a book. I kinda fleshed out the "mythos" of the dragon and the magma dude after I woke up; what I said above was all that I knew during the dream.
wait you have to log your dreams to go lucid?
wait you have to log your dreams to go lucid?
From what I've heard, remembering your dreams is the first step to going lucid. Keeping a dream journal is a good way to learn how to remember.
well i'm just too god damn lazy to do that
well i'm just too god damn lazy to do that
takes like 5-10 minutes a day, you must really be a lazy fuck.
I just never remember to do that first thing I wake up.
I had a weird dream the other night. One where I woke up and thought "What the hell happened" afterwards. I had just woken up from a previous dream, and rolled over onto my side to try to fall back asleep. As I'm laying there, I notice a humming sound I hadn't heard before, and I couldn't recognize where it'd come from. I thought the ceiling fan, but it seemed way too loud for me to have never noticed it before. Trying to ignore it, I close my eyes, and the humming turns into a whisper, and it starts to get closer and closer to me. Once this whisper is right next to my ear, I feel something grab my arm and start to shake me, as if it's trying to wake me up. I'm trying to ignore it, but it starts to pull me, by my foot, around on my bed from side to side. The entire time I'm clenching my eyes shut, trying to ignore it, and staring at the visual noise in my eyelids move in abnormal patterns. It starts to streak in circular patterns, then from left to right, matching the movements in which I'm being dragged across my bed. After what seems like a few minutes of this, the whispers stop, and the dragging ceases. I then drift back to sleep.
I had a weird dream while I was partially awake a while ago. I was laying in my bed in the dark, falling asleep but my eyes were partially closed and I wasn't asleep just yet, and I'm just staring towards my door which is at the front of my bed, and then all of a sudden this girl with long hair pops up, grabs both my wrists and just starts staring at me. Being half-asleep, In my head for some reason I just start thinking "Oh that's just my sister" until finally I start to wake up (girl with hair in front of her face still visibly there) and I notice that the door to my room never opened, and then I realize that my sister moved out about 2 years ago. Then I freak the fuck out, start mouthing "shit" and open my eyes all the way and she disappeared. I was scared at first and thinking "how the hell am I gonna get back to sleep" and then I fell asleep two minutes later.
Had another two-parter. I was a visitor in an alternate reality where all the plants and trees had gone extinct many many generations ago. The Earth was just a barren desert, ravaged by wars. I helped a group of scientists create an enzyme which when injected into the ground, made the area hundreds of meters around it burst into grass and trees and flowers like an expanding wave of green. Right before we could test it for the first time, we got attacked by a large tank army. During the battle, with missiles whizzing overhead and tanks exploding everywhere, we stuck the needle into the ground and injected it, and the entire battleground suddenly burst into green, it was beautiful. As no one had seen plants before (they went extinct before anyone there was born), both us and the enemies stopped fighting and admired the field. The commanders met, and shook hands after realizing the importance of our research, and the war was over. The next thing I remember, was that everyone was partying at a mansion built in "slum-style" with pieces of scrap and so on. It was already dark outside, and there was a bonfire and people dancing all around, with some band playing country music. I went to the sidelines and talked with my fellow scientists, who truly felt like my friends in the dream. One of them said, "You're going to go now, aren't you?" I answered "Yeah, I have to. But I'll be back someday, for sure." Then I woke up. I had "come back" from that world. I went back to sleep and found myself in the same world, but 2-3 centuries in the future. The enzyme had transformed the planet into a lush paradise. Large cities had been built all over, it reminded me of the real Earth. I walked over a retracting bridge, towards a grassy field area next to a large lake and a forest. There I noticed the remains of the mansion I partied at in my previous visit there. It was just ruins now, and the large desert next to it had been transformed into a lake over the centuries. It felt nostalgic, and also very sad as my old buddies had already died. I then woke up. Would be fun to visit the world in a lucid dream once more. [editline]23rd January 2013[/editline] Although if waking up for a minute equals ~300 years in this particular dream, then being awake for a day equals 216,000 years, so my next visit would probably be quite.. futuristic. [editline]23rd January 2013[/editline] I so wish I could draw or paint well, there are so many dream scenes I'd love to convey in pictures.
I consistently dream that im near a swimming pool or something to that effect, and the swimming pool's part of a school and i have to sneak around, naked, trying to find something to wear. Or that i'm at school or some other public place and for some reason i forgot to wear anything, so i have to sneak around AGAIN trying to find my clothes. I'm worried my brain is trying to tell me something.
On Tuesday night, I found out one of my friends is a natural lucid dreamer. He has at least one every night.
