When ever I realize I'm dreaming in a dream, something bad happens. Such as a GIANT FUCKING SPIDER APPEARING AND DESTROYING MY HOUSE. Got any ideas why this is happening? It's kinda getting annoying as I can never do anything.
Probably not stabilizing. First time I realized I was dreaming, I was (in the dream) sitting in my house on the couch watching TV. once I realized I was dreaming, the room inexplicably changed to a beach, and my TV turned into a giant werewolf wearing rubber duck floaties and an innertube, who promptly chased me into the water where I swam to safety.
Part of my dream last night was me trying to buy 9mm ammo. I think I've been playing too much Cry of Fear.
I fucked my sexy french teacher. Twas a good dream.
I had a dream that I was in a car, driving in the hills outside of dream-San Francisco. Every little bump made me fly a few hundred feet in the air. Scared the shit out of me. I've been playing too much Tribes :v:
stupid brain is being stubborn was in a dream, had to go somewhere. girlfriend (i do not have a girlfriend, so the existence of one should have been my first clue) kept asking me what time it was because she was trying to get ready. every time i checked the clock the time changed. instead of realizing that meant a dream, i just yelled "the damn clock can't decide what time it is, so hurry up anyway" no lucid for me :v:

It's like dream you has to deal with that bullshit all the time and he's tired of it.
that's not the only time that's happened, either. it's happening more and more frequently. i think my brain's just starting to accept dream logic as not a big deal.
yeah thats been happening to me too I'll be looking at my clock during a false awakening and every time I look its a different time but I just shrug it off
Same. Might have something to do with my gamer blood.
that's not the only time that's happened, either. it's happening more and more frequently. i think my brain's just starting to accept dream logic as not a big deal.
Like mine does all the time. I think I'll start doing RCs before coming up with an explanation for stuff IRL. That might cause me to do the same thing in my dreams.
Sometimes I think clocks have changed, but then it turn out that either it's still the same, or it did change and I blinked at the wrong time.
That's the thing with dream logic. your brain desperately tries to explain it, so you have to realize that dream logic is not real, and logic is real. And your brain has to make that decision reasonably quickly, which is the problem.
MY mind keeps making up different versions of RL places. I recognize them, but there is not much recognizable about them. Lately, the different versions have actually been connecting to each other. A whole mess of fucked up logic goes along with this world.
Doesn't the logic center of your brain more or less go into standby mode in regular dreams?
Finally, my first lucid dream! I was jumping around in a workshop (as in moon-gravity), then all of a sudden i decided to summon an "increase lucidness" potion from inside my jacket. It was a black bottle that easily fitted my hand, and i drank it. I found out that i could fly, but after a while i was flying "ineffective" so i imagined that my feet had a yet pack-thingie on them, so i flew even better. Almost fell out of my dream (as in i felt i was lying in bed), and a tingling feeling was in my feet. Somehow i was determinated to sleep again, because i wanted to dream again. (This isn't WBTB, no? I was awake, but not for long). Remember i was in a mall now, giving away "increase awareness" potions which were red. After this i was walking to an area where i only saw one human. His expression was a bit scary, but somehow i knew this was my anti-sub. He attacked me instantly, threw me on the ground and lay over me. I wasn't scared, because i knew it was a dream and his goal was to frighten me. Suddenly my Sub-c come to my aid, who also is a human. They are having their own kind of fight, and my classmate asks me what the hell is happening. I told him that "those are my Sub-c and Antisub-C. Some minutes later the antisub-c runs away, and sub-c goes into another shape, waiting for me it seems like. I start talking to him, but all i remember is i was asking to get lucid dreams all the time, which he accepted. Not bad for a first-timer who always woke up at the start of a LD, eh?
To me it seems like any time that I question what happened in my dreams either it changes on the spot or the dream reverses its self and takes my criticism to change how something happens.
I really need to visit this thread more. The last dream I remember was I wanted to go to the movies, and I'm 14. So I don't have a car. I got in my moms car, drove all the way to the movie theater at about 100 miles per hour. I realized I didn't have money, so I drove back to my house at hundred miles an hour. Then I asked my mother for money, and she said no. That was the end.
I dreamed about working and everybody was speaking gibberish. Also, I build a spaceship gmod-style and I and a few others flew it to mars with warp-travel. It was the prototype, so everything was automatic, you controlled all the flight. We got back to earth and there was a green alien ship. We tried to blow it up, but it bombed the white house, then turned into an armored truck and drove away.
When I was about 8-years old, I had the most terrifying nightmare ever. I remember that me and my friends were out playing in front of our old school. We were playing football for what I remember, all happy and smiling 'till everyone just vanished when I looked away. I was all alone when I spot this painting laying down on the ground. I picked it up and looked straight at it -what a mistake. There was this red eyeball painted on the painting and I could hear screams and other terrifying sounds as it started to suck me inside of the painting itself. Resistance was futile, and after some time I was crying in my own bedroom, in middle of the night in a dark room. I sighed of relief that it was only a dream, when suddenly this woman in black appears and I'm locked to look into her eyes. Again, I hear the terrifying screams and other sounds as the woman looks at me straight into the eyes. I was crying and I couldn't look away at all when she started to speak. "This is where you will be for eternity!" she started to pull me towards her and I honestly could not breathe. Seconds later the dream faded -for good, and I was actually awake, sweating, shaking and crying loudly.
I think I might have had a lucid dream, albeit a very short one. Part of the dream was a Facepuncher claiming he has a "pretty good body", so I take control of him, look in a mirror (there actually wasn't anything disturbing in it) and notice that he's very fat. I laugh. As I'm leaving, I suddenly realize I'm dreaming and say "by the way, this is a dream and I want it stabilized right now" and everything becomes clear. I leave but I guess I got excited and I woke up. Feels good even though it lasted only a few seconds.
Had a dream last night that there was a civilization of fantasy creatures living happily underground in a nearby forest. It was a giant town built underground accessible only from a certain hole. There were talking animals like otters and moose, there were dwarves and unicorns (I think the dwarves were the ones who built the city in the first place) and all kinds of other creatures. But then shit started happening and the city was abandoned. I tried going back there to see why everyone left, tried talking to some animals hanging around and they couldn't talk back anymore for some reason, instead they acted like wild animals would and ran away. I was sad and confused. There were no dwarves anymore either. It's like all the magic had vanished. And then I woke up
I had a dream a few weeks ago where I was in some mall, selling pancakes for a jazz band. When I got there, my friend starts talking to me, but then I interrupted him, saying "hold on, lwt me set up some defenses." I then pulled out and placed a sentry gun from TF2 on the counter. Shortly after, I decide to check out why there was this big crowd around the escelators. It turned out that Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) was there, and everyone was getting his autograph. He autographed my jazz band's program and walked away, depressed. When I asked him what was wrong, he said "I like walking in the rain because nobody can see me crying."
I had a dream last night that was basically Lord of the Rings, Elder Scrolls edition. Everything was pretty much the same from what I can remember, except that there were no Hobbits; instead they were really short Khajit. The main focus of the dream was a last-ditch, Helms Deep scenario set in Markarth. It was actually pretty awesome, even though it made absolutely no sense (TES lore-wise).
I had a DILD last night I was in my dining room, and I saw that my brother was in the dining room and living room at the same time. I started freaking out, and then just said to myself, "oh, I'm dreaming." I did remember and fail to complete one of my dream goals, but it was one of the lower priority ones. Then the dream collapsed, and I went onto this thread and started to type up this post. I only made it through the first sentence before that dream collapsed as well.
I can't fucking remember my dream. It had something to do with Rhodesia and tripcodes.
I hate having weird depression dreams, especially when I don't feel depressed normally. That always worries me, because then I feel like I'm just suppressing my problems instead of dealing with them. On the other hand, it's VERY likely that that's just sleep debt.
I dreamt I baked lots of stuff like bread and muffins i baked like hundreds then there was this fat guy who ate them all in one bite like a snake :(
I had a dream that some ghetto kid stabbed my mom, then when I was giving her first aid he came back. My dad snuck up behind him threatened him with an even bigger knife so he ran away. Then seven robots came and that was just strange.
I'm having those kinds of dreams where you wake up frightened and everything, in the latest one, my parents were cooking something, I took a glance over the stove and there was this big, green fire leaking from it, and then I blew it off with air, which happened to explode, all I could hear before i woke up was my mom yelling "NO" holy shit
I've had the most random things explode as realistically as they can, collapsing my dream.
