For the past few months I've been practicing Lucid dreaming, The odd thing is last night I did nothing to attempt this; I was so tired I just went straight to sleep. the other crazy thing about this is that I remember every dream, even now literally an hour after it happened in complete detail, also rest wise I feel amazing right now, Like I've slept for weeks all at once.
4. Dreams (I think these where sub parts of my conscious because they all dwelt with my interests and hobbies)
1. Seems like I live in new york, I'm hanging with a few friends until I meet this cute Asian chick, we hit it off and agree to meet later at a party, she gives me this neat trinket on a chain and tells me to wear it as a good luck charm, winking as she leaves. When I get there a friend of mine is showing off this awesome jetpack his dad bought him. The right control gives you forward thrust and the left gives vertical, so basically if you’re going forward to fast you just lean back and use the left control. I slide the huge device on and after 10 minutes I've got the controls down flat. I'm the highlight of the party, I start Hoping around the roof, flying right at walls but flipping and thrusting off, overall pretty bad ass, I did not see the girl again but at this point I merged into the second dream.
2. I thrust higher and higher, pushing this jet pack to its limit, that’s when I realize the area around us is not as it seems, upon getting 1000 feet in the air, I realize we are in a very large box, and some weird ass creature is watching us, by the way, this thing is huge, I'm talking like it's hands are the size of a city, very dark and snake like. My point of view goes from first person to third person as I Follow the young women from earlier, she seems to be a power ranger since she called upon a big ass mech suit and began to fight the creature. Throughout the fight the demon taunted her saying now one would remember her and that she was doomed to die. She starts loosing hard as the creature envelops her ship; she's in the cockpit crying, at this point with no hope. Not wanting to be a spectator anymore I thrust in through the monster into the chamber where she was sitting. She glares up at me first but realizes who I am and runs over and hugs me saying she’s sorry that she failed, I smile and tell her she did her best, as we hug she realizes the device she gave me earlier is on my chain, she screams happily and snatches it from my chain, she slams the device into the console and all of the sudden the mech appears to not only grow in size but in power up as well, it's now obvious how much more powerful this mech is than the monster as she destroys it easily, when the fight is done the mech disappears and we begin free falling down to the sky, she hugs me again and kisses me saying "Thanks for everything, you’re on your own for now, I'll see you soon!" as I'm falling I freak out thinking I'm going to hit the ground and die, but the moment that thought occurs I stop falling, it seems like I'm space but can breathe, I am close to the ground but there is no real gravity. I've fallen into the third dream.
3.Flew around a city that was lit with a green hue due to the light below, tons of white metal pipes fill this city, I noticed that the sky was in fact not solid and was at an angle, as I got closer to the top I noticed what appeared to be glados and several talking spheres arguing about leaving, eventually they all are dragged up by cables into the ceiling where it closes, I stand on an oddly shaped spherical platform and I'm able to touch the ceiling, immediately behind me a large oblong TV flicks on and a new form of glados talks to me on the screen, saying she is impressed I made it this far. Now smooth music plays in the background and I'm greeted by several floating spheres, each one wanting to discuss some kind of level design. Eventually I come to this large wall with several TV’s each one asking if I'd like to play a game. Eventually I click the red TV and fall into a room. I've slipped into the fourth dream
4. Seems like I'm in some kind of video game, a bit max Payne-ish, I break into a bar where this Mobster is holding my apparent girlfriend (not the chick from the first 2, this one is bitchy and really annoying)? I kick everyone’s ass in a small rom, they leave and shut the door saying I've got 30 seconds to tell her I love her and to say goodbye. I tell her everything will be fine and as I walk to the door I get this holo effect that allows me to see through the door and aim my gun where needed, the first few attempts in getting out result in her dying but each time I have this rewind ability like in SSX when you crash. Eventually we get out but by this point I'm tired of this women yelling stupid shit at me, promptly two griffons come out of nowhere and snatch her ass away, I don't bother rewinding that part. From here I eventually merge back into the 3rd dreams TV room but I wake up.
Two things about this event to me are pretty awesome, first off I didn't even try to do this, it just happened, normally when I practice lucid dreaming I force myself to think about things within the dream, but last night I was like fuck everyone I'm sleeping tonight and then bam I goes through this large chain of dreams, the second thing is I remember every detail, it's crazy since most of the time I can barely remember any dreaming at all.
This was a fun session and I feel tonight I might get to continue where I left off and explore more of those TV's.
Okay, last night I had this dream, ok? Didn't think I was dreaming so.
I walked up to my old friends house, who hates me now. And he says "hey i'm fine if you want to be friends again" and we're all cool again.
Then, 10 seconds later he runs off and yells "no i remember i hate you"
Had a dream about digging out a ww1-era trench and doing archeological studies on it. I found two small metallic cigarette cases, and when I opened them, both contained a small, corroded toy car, like a hot wheels one. But they were all rusty and shit because of being buried for almost a century.
Rest of the dream was about evil guys trying to steal them from me because they were very valuable artifacts, and me trying to stop them from doing so.
Dream about the end of the world being a huge white mist that slowly rolled over the land dissolving everything in its way. Me and dozens of others were basically escaping it on a train. Was a pretty long dream. Just travelling on the train, the mist coming up around 100-200m behind us at all times, it was strangely calm, no panic or anything, not a nightmare.
Another dream about being a god amongst gods. We were living in something resembling Olympus, chillin' around, until a war started and we basically had to fight a bunch of super fast fucks that were on a rampage. Chose a Barrett sniper rifle as my weapon and yeah you can guess the rest.
Oh and several lucids. Spent it talking to TV/game characters.
Got some vitamin B supplement today. It says it has 143% of daily dosage of B6 (or 2 mg). This should severely increase the chance of remembering my dreams right?
http://b6dreams.com/2011/12/14/b6-and-dreams/#how-much this site (which doesn't look too trustworthy anyway) claims that I need to take at least 50 mg for it to have any effect on my dreams. That would mean I'd have to take 25 of these pills (I'm not going to do that btw).
Where do you guys stand on this?

It's best to have good health instead of wrecking your body over something that can be accomplished in the long run.
I hate having weird depression dreams, especially when I don't feel depressed normally. That always worries me, because then I feel like I'm just suppressing my problems instead of dealing with them.
On the other hand, it's VERY likely that that's just sleep debt.
Oh so how are weird depression dreams different from the others?

That's not very specific. You can't just dump down 50mg into your system without messing up your nerves, even over a period of 3 days.
Ignore it, just take 1 pill every two days. Vitamin B6 has an awful effect on your nervous system if you take too much.

Yeah that's what I though thanks.
I had a dream last night where there was a guy in some type of helicopter/VTOL hybrid, shooting bombs at all the people on the ground at Disney World. Everyone who was caught in the explosion was transformed into a pokemon.
Let me be the first to say that life as a caterpie sucks.
More lucids last night. Looks like it's that time of the month again (lucids allnight errynight)
I dreamt a lot about sex recently, I once read that this could be a sign of lonelyness.
Almost had a lucid tonight. I had a false awakening from a dream I can't remember I I was lying in my bed with my computer mouse in my hand. I noticed that and pressed my tongue against my front teeth and it went through! At that point I could feel my feet in my bed and thought shit I'm waking up then I fell asleep in my dream and woke up.
In retrospect, the bed that I felt could just as well have been the one in the dream and I should have pushed it further with the reality checks. I guess the mouse-thing was pretty smart though. I believe I felt it because I sat on the computer almost the entire day (and most of the night heh). I'll try to use it later.
Every day this week I woke up with a song stuck in my head, not even related to the dream I had.
Today's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkbXliws05w
More lucids last night.
Started from a false awakening where I did a reality check. Basically, today's plan included going skiing with my uncle at 1-2 PM (which I did), but in the false awakening I woke up, looked at my cellphone for the time and it was like 3 PM and had 13 received messages from my uncle which said stuff like "where are you" "did you sleep over" "it's too late to go skiing now :3"
My uncle would never use ":3" or any smiley whatsoever so that tipped me off and I did a reality check, which turned into the following extremely vivid lucid.
Ended up on a highway. Clapped my hands several times to stabilize the dream and get some clarity (both were successful). First I saw dozens of small RC jet liners (with Finnair logo) go in a line above the trees. Dropped one of them with a flick of my hand for fun and to make sure I was in control. Then I saw some strange military vehicles appear on the highway. One of the vehicles was like an open topped box with notches and grooves all over on four wheels, there were several of them going on the road. Another was a simple contraption, large flat sheet of metal with a single wheel under it, with loads of equipment stacked on top, with several soldiers pushing it forward and failing horribly (they got crushed by it when it flipped over) because the thing couldn't be balanced properly as it only had one wheel in the middle. I laughed at it pretty hard and said "brain, why would you create that".
I met one of my recurring dream characters who I talked with a bit (I asked her several weeks ago to be one and she's been around in every lucid ever since. Awesome dream-pal), but then she went off to fight the soldiers and got shot and killed even when I told her not to. I revived her soon after and she eventually left.
I then looked at the road again and there was a large elephant with two tubes sticking out of is back, going doggystyle on some random human girl. That was just way too screwed up and made me laugh way, way too hard and woke up from it.
Im sick and I didnt get no fever dreams :(
I had a dream about Lord English chasing me, should have been scary but it wasn't
I was in feudal Europe, and someone chopped off my dingdong and, after burning the bloody hole where it used to be, stuck a larger ding-a-ling into it. Then I woke up, and I was grateful.
So I "died" for the first time in what I think is a long time in my dream last night. I was in a theater and some anti-gravity thing turned on. I got sucked up to the roof, unlike everyone else, and I was just about to jump off the roof back down when it was turned off. I fell and died but I had a death cam above my body that I could look around in. After that I re-spawned at the entrance where the dream started and walked back to where I was in the theater.
I hope I have a nightmare again sometime soon. They're kind of interesting, in a shitty sort of way.
Three dreams last night and they were all about chasing, with different settings each time.
First I can't remember anything about other than being chased.
Second was about being chased by a horde of pigs, over lakes and through forests.
Third was about boating down the Amazon river and meeting a hostile tribe, who then chased me for the rest of the dream.
I don't like chasing dreams. It's a terribly uncomfortable feeling to be the chased.
I had a dream about browsing FP last last weekend. It was dark, and I was scrolling down looking at interesting threads. Suddenly I started seeing weird posts, and they always had a slight relevance to me. Shit was scary, but when I woke up it was morning and I noticed I had been sleeping on my desk. The computer was still on and I got real comfortable when I saw Facepunch being normal again. It was about 7 in the morning and my whole family was still sleeping.
Interesting load of dreams last night,
Effectively a cheesy Hollywood film about bad guys. The one odd (well not odd just very unsettling) was it was about the 9/11 and I was on the top floor stuck in the room while the bad guy watches the plane go into the first tower. I get (I think this level of detail is funny) my VERY old phone out (The one I had when 9/11 happened) and attempted to warn them about the 2nd.
The thing the really got me was the feel of the plane hitting the first tower.
I had a quite wierd dream last night.
I was in a town where some people were turning into homicidal maniacs with their skulls starting protrude trough their faces and gain some other kind of deformations.
So then I took a gun from a drawer (a pistol most likely made by Taurus) and went outside to help the towns people to get rid of the homicidal maniacs (zombie like whateverthefucks).
Then during the combat one of the defenders face started to gain some deformity but he fought by our side until all the maniacs were dealt with. But then arguments started to surface about what if he turns out violent like the others untill now have, then someone just executed him in cold blood.
Later on I was sent to a city to find out the source behind this. The city was very unusuall as the strucktures were high up in the air on pillars and far away from eachother. It was very foggy too and the general colour was grey.
After shooting some baddies at a torn down stadium the dream ended and I woke up. At friggin 4 AM.
After reading a book to help me fall asleep again I had a very annoying dream.
I was at some fried chicken place where the workers managed to fuck up every goddamn thing. Even managing to cause an accident where I got my wrists burned.
And the previous night I had a nightmare about my crush allmost getting hurt. It scared me so shitless I woke up.
Had a pretty cool non-lucid dream that technically wasn't a nightmare. Inspired by both Penumbra and Cry of Fear simultaneously.
My dreams are actually pretty fun when I remember them.
First of all I never heard about lucid dreams until now.
After reading the first few pages I realized I've already had one 2 days ago.
It was nothing special. I was drinking a coffee at Starbucks with a friend and we were talking.
But I remember every little detail from this dream. Then a friend woke me up by sending me a sms. :(
I think I'm going to try one of the methods posted in the OP now that I know that I can control these dreams.
Last night was basically one or two huge epic dreams. Had intricate plots, medieval combat, post-apocalyptic scenarios, saving the world, a legendary golden battleaxe adorned with rubies that I used, hot sex, space travel, car races and lots of other stuff. It was a great night.
Also one lucid from a spontaneous reality check but it ended too quickly to be noteworthy.
Damn my internal clock is messed up. Yesterday I slept through my alarm and woke up at 1, effectively missing all of school.
Just ate me some peanut butter banana sandwich. DREAM TIME.
I just realized I sleep very little because I hate dreaming. I'm afraid I'll dream nice things, because I hate waking up only to realize everything's as shit as ever. I hardly ever dream as it is, but I had a dream a few nights ago where everything was all good and I was happy, and then I woke up and just cried for like an hour straight.
It's fucking hopeless, and since the only thing I can think off that prevents me from dreaming is not sleeping, my grades are dropping and I'm almost always late for school, and when I actually get there I'm so tired it's hard to pay attention, so I'm falling behind in a lot of subjects.
