if you typed a banword and previewed the post it still banned you
Yes, that's it.
I won a raffle someone posted in the TF2 general chat. All I won was a crate but I still felt crummy for coming into someone else's party and taking their crate.
My first post was apologizing for it and a pretty crappy raffle to try and make amends. Nobody cared about me winning their crate.
I joined FP to post ideas for TF2 weapons in the tf2 forum and dota heroes for the dota forum.
Though i never posted on the tf2 weapon ideas thread
Lurked the Garry's Mod subforum for a while, eventually started lurking the other subforums. After a while I got permabanned from the Steam forums for a third time, so then I decided to create an account here.
tl;dr I was a typical GMod twat
T'was a silly system though. Slip the N word once by accident and you got perma'd. Wasn't there a "prank" in which people where encouraged to post something (like a link, I forget) the contained a ban word?
Yeah but without the ban words, think of how much clutter would be cleared up through it.
Because I felt like it.
A friend recommended FP, and I've grown to like it ever since.
I needed help with SFM stuff, and the SFM section is the best place to go for that. I drifted away from there though. My name is just what I have always used for gaming.
Somehow I found this place, lurked around for a while, and decided you all were pretty decent and the site was pretty.
To show that the Steam Verification that was added to garrysmod.org at the time worked for yet another person(for those who weren't there, it was a barrel of laughs with all the people who had pirated Gmod outing themselves, but trying to play it off as the system didn't work despite the only game showing up in their Steam Library being the demo of R.U.S.E). Seeing as I had viewed the board prior to that for a good while, I stuck around.
I remember it had been this infamous thread that caught my attention years ago
http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=400916
After that it was a few more months before I actually registered and joined.
Rovar's interactive- I proceeded to shitpost for a lil while, get banned, and then become a lurker for god knows how long.
I joined for the TF2 subforum, stayed for everything. I still post there sometimes even though I don't really play it anymore
Because I was told people posted here models that were never released anywhere else, although I stopped lurking and became more active some 6 months after joining
I read the first LMAO Pics thread while it was still in progress and decided to join.
Friend was a member, decided to see what it was all about, plus it has a good dose of daily news!
I joined because of WAYWO
An old friend posted a picture from LMAO pics and I asked for the source.
I still haven't found the real source.
GMod Lua help
to get server hosting help
i joined because of garry's hot bod too
GMod, pretty much. Was a forum member before I even downloaded the mod. But then again, I don't think I had a choice. lol
Kept finding the site via Google when I searched for Garry's Mod things. I left my main community/forum recently at the time and joined up.
It seemed like a good idea at the time. I literally have no other reason.
I can't remember why I joined, probably because I had a problem in GMod. I think I most likely asked a question in a wrong section and had my thread moved or something.
When I was about 10 and 11, I used to go round to my friends house, and we'd play gmod for hours at a time. It wasn't until we were about 13 that he showed me facepunch. I didn't have gmod at the time (shit pc that couldn't run it) so I joined in the hope that I would get gmod. Oh yeah, and lmao pics.
Because I got digital cable when I moved here years ago. Watched G4 a lot. Attack of the Show had a spot about Half Life 2 mods, one of them being this little fuck around mod called Gmod [at this time, i believe gmod was at like version 7?], and I knew i wanted to play it. Ended up here, lurking for about a year, then finally signing up to ask a few things about servers.
