• Seatbelts: Why don't people wear them?
That second solution seems a bit extreme.
How is having a way to free yourself from a seatbelt and break your side window extreme? There are thousands of car accidents a year, and having a tool that allows you to quickly exit your vehicle just seems like common sense. [editline]06:38AM[/editline] Oh, and I think that people not wearing seatbelts is just Darwin's theory being applied in our modern times.

[editline]06:38AM[/editline] Oh, and I think that people not wearing seatbelts is just Darwin's theory being applied in our modern times.
A) You don't understand natural selection B) I don't want to crash at 30-40 MPH with a fucking knife in the vehicle. Things fly around when you crash, especially when you roll over. I'm not trusting that in my console, glove box. Shit flies open when you roll.
Because, If they get in a accident and the car is on fire, They don't have to worry about taking their seat belt off.
No they just have to worry about the actual collision instead The ONLY seatbelts that can "trap" you are ones in most race cars, but those are built to take collisions exceeding 150-200mph. Think about it.
I work drive-thru alot and I see hundreds of people that don't wear seat belts. Most of the time people are too fat to wear them which is sad. Everytime I get in my car or any other car I also put my seatbelt on.
Cars do not explode in collisions, EVER.
I've heard an excuse from one guy that he doesn't wear his seatbelt because one of his friends died because of it. The force of the crash was so catastrophic that the seatbelt went through his body, causing him to die.
If you die as a result of your seatbelt you would have died not wearing it regardless. Either way. You're fucked if you hit with that much force. As for seatbelts. I carry a Res-Q-Me tool on my keychain. Has a window punch and a seatbelt cutter. If I need to get out and my belt is jammed, and for some reason I can't reach my knife - I always have that as backup. Also works for responding to accidents. Nifty little tool.
Come down to Australia, we may ban everything but we have to wear seatbelts. I used to hate putting it on when I was a kid, but you sort of get used to it. It becomes second nature.
People who don't wear them are stupid. But that's their choice so why do you care. It's just like asking why someone smokes.
my car doesn't start unless you use the seatbelt
my car doesn't start unless you use the seatbelt
Easily fixed. Just find a way to complete the circuit.
All the cool kids don't wear them
Sometimes if seatbelts get stuck you can die so there's a small chance they might not drown! That's just pointing the bright side of that, but yea my bro used to do this i used to call him an idiot
Nice ass.
I don't get all these people who are like "if X happens, you'll be able to get out of the car quicker without a seatbelt on" Well yeah of course, but it's much less likely than a regular crash, in which case you'll be out of the car very fast, whether you want to be or not. The seatbelt is THE main thing stopping you from dying or getting seriously injured, nothing else is as effective.
I've heard an excuse from one guy that he doesn't wear his seatbelt because one of his friends died because of it. The force of the crash was so catastrophic that the seatbelt went through his body, causing him to die.
Yeah, right. Even if that really happened and that guy wasn't wearing a seatbelt, he still would have died in the crash.
If you die as a result of your seatbelt you would have died not wearing it regardless.
That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Do you know how a seatbelt works? THEY SAVE LIVES.
Because people are too confident in their driving skills to worry about crashing
First thought that came to mind. [editline]10:05PM[/editline] I am very surprised it hasn't been posted yet.

Cause society can't bind them to no seat belts.
People are really so lazy, they can't take 2 seconds to secure their lives in a fast moving hunk of metal and glass. :downs:
motorbikes don't have seatbelts
because people are ignorant and stupid
I've heard an excuse from one guy that he doesn't wear his seatbelt because one of his friends died because of it. I'd feel weird not wearing a seatbelt. It's kind of comfortable in a weird way, probably because it just has that feeling of security.
They are uncomfortable

I actually like wearing a seatbelt. Makes me feel like more embedded into the car, more of a part of it, giving me more control over it. Only exception are these terribly hot summer days, when you feel anything touching your sweat soaked body. That sucks. But that still doesn't keep me from wearing the seatbelt.
I always wear seatbelt when I drive and I agree with Awesomecaek :v:
Hey guys lets go drifting and not wear seat-belts. :downs:
