its supposed to be at an angle.
u srs?
yeah, it's supposed to be slant cut right to left, it's supposed to counter the recoil from the imbalance of the bolt or something, so it expels the gasses to the right to push the gun back to the left

COME ON YEAAAAAAAAAAH![/del] Wrong thread
uh
uh, i mean, I like guns lol!
Okay, Need help. Finished charging my AK for the first time. I loaded thirty bbs into a mid-cap magazine and tried it out. I got off maybe seven shots before it stopped shooting. Sounds fine, but nothing comes out. Took out the mag and five bbs fell onto the floor. I thought maybe the spring on the mag is weak, so I got a different magazine and filed it with around fifty bb. Same problem, It stops shooting after a a few shots on semi, and when I remove the mag bbs fall onto the floor. I've no experience with airsoft at all and im getting disheartened. please tell me Im being an idiot somehow and its not the gun.
You're doing fine. All magazines do not feed the last 4-5 shots, because they cover the distance between the hopup and the magazine. Any time you remove a magazine, 4-5 bb's will fall out. [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] Load your magazine all the way and see if that works.

It shot the first six or so, then nothing but air. edit:Going to get a different mag and try again.

You should do this first. USE SILICON, NOT WD-40! Use the "paper test". Take a piece of paper, and fire at it. If no hole, then your gun is still jammed. If there is a hole, problem solved. Also, ditch the charger and get a smart charger. You will thank me later.

I already exhausted my current funds to get the gun and ammo/mags/sling. I'm currently saving for a smart charger and bought a speed loader because hand feeding fucking hurts. Side updat: new mag changed nothing. Cleared the gun, put in mag, nothing shot. Took out the magazine and shot on semi three times, two bbs came out normally.
a few dollar at a hardware store???
a few dollar at a hardware store???
You can't get gun lube at a hardware store.
Shit, how much is lube? just because it's in a special bottle labeled with an airsoft company's name doesn't make it any less of silicone spray than a bottle of stuff you get at a hardware store

I'd suggest checking to see if the bucking is properly lubricated and aligned.
or be like wally and get some from a sex shop ;)
just because it's in a special bottle labeled with an airsoft company's name doesn't make it any less of silicone spray than a bottle of stuff you get at a hardware store
BAHAHAHA, no.
Sounds like they're getting stuck in the barrel. I'd suggest checking to see if the bucking is properly lubricated and aligned.
How would I go about doing that?
How would I go about doing that?
Unjam the barrel, lube the inside, and repeat if necessary.
How would I go about doing that?
Fire a few shots, when it stops feeding, take out the magazine. Disassemble the gun, remove the barrel. If the barrel's clogged up with several BBs you'll know the problem. Otherwise apply a bit of lube to the bucking and slide it back into the hop-up.
Okay, did more testing. Loaded mag with 50 rounds. Ten shots, then nothing. Took out mag, caught falling bbs. Tried firing, nothing. Used rod, one bb came out. Reinserted mag and the whole proceess repeated until, I fired or dropped all fifty shots. So my gun gets a jam every ten rounds or so. Does that mean I just need to lube the hopup or is there a more serious problem?

what kind of bb's are you using (brand, weight) see if they have any obvious defects like bumps
Goldenball .25g bio bbs
if you have any other bb's around try them
Okay, I dug the shitty .20 g Baggie of bbs that I should never use out of the garbage. Forty rounds. Shot a bunch on semi, then the gun locked up and the trigger wouldn't move. Removed mag, cleared gun with rod. Tried to shoot, still locked up. I switched to full auto and it burned through the rest of the magazine (at least 20 rounds) like a champ. So ATM the bbs that came with the gun have worked better than the ones I bought. Does that mean I can't run .25 ammo or is bio more unreliable than normal?
If you don't pull the trigger and keep it held down for an entire cycle on semi-auto, it will lock up and you need to switch to auto to clear it. And always use semi at the end of the day to reset the spring position.

So the problem is my ammo then? Because the .20 cycled fine besides my user error.
Hmm, it should cycle .25's just fine, and Goldenballs always work well for me. It might just be the fact that they're bio bb's.
Hmm, it should cycle .25's just fine, and Goldenballs always work well for me. I'll start with the .2 and see how it runs compared to the .25 RESULTS: The .2 ran flawlessly and put a huge fucking grin on my face. The .25 jamed on the sixth shot, then again after I cleared it. So I guess it's the ammo.
