Hey guys, i have a question. What kind of M16A2 would i get the best bang for my buck on? I don't want another JG, for the love of god no, unless i went in with the distinct plan of buying two sets of upgrade parts, one for my withstanding A2 and another for the new one(it'd prolly be a new barrel and hop-up)? I was thinking a G&G M16A2 proline wouldn't be all that bad, and give me much better stock performance than my JG, so i wouldn't have to upgrade that right away. Anyways, yeah, i want a M16A2 that works well but is cheap-ish, gogogo(I'm not saying i will get it, i just need to know)
At $230, I think this is a much better buy than a G&G Proline, and it's only $50 more than the CM M16A2
I have those kneepads, and they're quite nice.
Everything looks good, but I'm not a fan of 3 point slings. I'd recommend a one point for most rifles and SMGs with a proper mount for them.

How's this look? Anything extra I need/could do without/should change?

Everything looks good. That propane adapter is the best one IMO.
About the sling though, unless you really want a 3-point sling, you can always get the job done easier/cheaper with a briefcase strap.

Only issue is the $80ish for int. shipping. Also, its not even wired for Deans, good find.

I have a big, heavy-duty strap from my old laptop case, I'll go check how that works.
Well if that laptop sling doesn't work, I highly suggest a one point sling, after working with those for a bit I'm jealous of not owning one myself. You just mount the sling onto the buffer tube sling mount and it leaves your gun in an easily accessible position at all times.

Something I did was ziptie a key ring to the buffer tube, then I could use my briefcase strap as a one-point.

Works nicely, don't see it breaking any time soon. Might not be as comfortable as a ~1337 operator~ sling, but it saves me $20.

Any recommendation on a specific holster?
I use a two point sling and just attach both ends to the back ring, works pretty well.
Just thought of something: gloves. Now I need THOSE and a holster. However, I was thinking I could just put the pistol in one of those big side-pockets on my 7-pocket rig for now and save up for a SERPA.

I don't think the KJ HiCapa fits in a SERPA unfortunately.

Oh. Well then, what's a good holster then? Also, what's a good pair of gloves in size XXL? (I hate having big hands.)
No Hicapa will fit in a Serpa.
A cheap holster will do you fine, just make sure its designed for 1911s or hicapas. I've had many an issue with universal holsters designed to fit glocks.

Here's my Hicapa's holster: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=30_153&products_id=25140
For gloves, are you looking for hard impact gloves or just regular gloves?
Actually, scratch the gloves. My dad got me some nice welder's gloves from his work.
How does that holster mount notrabies?
Its drop leg, so it secures the top around a belt, and a strap goes around your leg. Mine is about midthigh on me, but you can adjust it for height. If you plan to be doing a lot of long distance walking/running, you should certainly get a belt mounted holster.
Just be sure to look for the retaining strap being located over the handguard, not over the hammer/slide.
My new guns' manual talks about discharging the battery, How would I go about that?
you have to use a smart charger to do that
Honestly I rather modify a Serpa or any other retention holster to fit a Hicapa than use a universal holster ever again. I've lost too many damn pistol mags from those things. It's worth the money to get a good holster.
I just use an M-12 style ALICE belt mounted pistol holster. It works well for me and hasn't dropped my magazine yet. And i don't have to worry about bumping my pistol into a wall because it is pretty much protected by the holster. Only drawback to it is that it limits you drawing speed by quite a bit.
Exact one I have, I love it. Its served me through literally dozens of nights of CQB scenarios.
I have one close quarters scenario in which you may not survive the night

HA. My gloves are scratch proof.

Sexy. I'll certainly consider it if i get the money.
Also, one more question, whats the best M16 midcaps i can get in a box set? I really don't want to settle for mag brand mags.

Shit, is there something bad with MAG?
no, afaik MAG brand mags are pretty decent
no, afaik MAG brand mags are pretty decent
Good, I was looking at a box set of midcap -74 mags by MAG.
Some guns just don't like them, and some people don't like the plastic.
Some guns just don't like them, and some people don't like the plastic.
Plastic is good in my case since I have bakelite orange.
Some guns just don't like them, and some people don't like the plastic.
A lot of CA guns don't like MAGs I know that. Don't buy from CA is a good solution.
My new guns' manual talks about discharging the battery, How would I go about that?
See, the included battery for your gun is a NiCD, aka the worst battery type possible. As they're used, they develop memory, which decreases their battery life and decreases performance. The way you stop excess memory from being created is by discharging the battery after every usage so that it is stored with no power. You'd have to buy a dedicated battery discharger to discharge a battery.
The next step up is NiMH which is basically the same exact thing except that it doesn't create memory, and you can store them charged or uncharged.
The best are Lipos which have significantly greater power and battery life, but if you drain the battery two far, it will ruin the battery.
you have to use a smart charger to do that
Give any links please? Just a cheap one that will work well
Okay, got my .20g bbs in. Instant jam in the gun. So I'm going to go pick up some lube later this week.
Detail I noticed: when I remove the mag, there is usually two bbs in the "chamber". Does that point out a particular problem?
