Used VHS tapes for 99c?! I'm in heaven.
This is a really good idea actually. Gold star.
Like others have said, it really needs a search function to sort out the ludicrous amount of items.
you sure this thing doesn't have any malicious software on it?
you sure this thing doesn't have any malicious software on it?
You don't download anything
Alright, UK version is up, just click on the little flag at the top. Here's my to do: +add searching by tags +add category recognition and removing categories from view (honestly who wants to see bracelets and women's shoes?) +spam button to get rid of the people who submit 100s of similar things to ebay ???? For the searchable tags I'm thinking the following: free shipping, under $5, shipping under $5 always taking more suggestions
can't wait for the uk version
can't wait for the uk version
like I said, UK version is up http://fuyuchi.com/thebay/?country=gb
awesome, i didn't see your post when i posted [editline]11:05AM[/editline] you need to change dollars to pounds
The UK version is OK, but it still says less than a dollar when it is in pounds. I suggest you make it pounds when clicking the UK flag, and add in a search function so you can find certain items.
Alright, UK version is up
Awesome :D
Add images so you can see what the product is.
Add images so you can see what the product is.
deal
alright that's been changed. what kind of search function do you want? deal
A search function that allows you to search for keywords.
Maybe add a category for misspelled things? That can usually save you a lot.
this looks awesome but i dont use ebay
Maybe add a category for misspelled things? That can usually save you a lot.
How would he know that they're misspelled? It's an automatic thing.
How would he know that they're misspelled? It's an automatic thing.
Make it cross reference a spellchecker? I don't know. Other sites do it, I just thought maybe it would be handy.
Make it cross reference a spellchecker? I don't know. Other sites do it, I just thought maybe it would be handy.
But how would he know that a book called "Tunman's night of terror" was a spelling mistake, or a real name?
But how would he know that a book called "Tunman's night of terror" was a spelling mistake, or a real name?
You can set it to use certain words, things that look like names can be filtered out, it's not 100% working but other sites get like 90% of the misspelled stuff working. So it will know that Bok or Boko is a misspelled use of Book, but names shouldn't be filtered.
A few ideas: Add a way for the page to auto-refresh so the times countdown and finished items are removed from the page. [del]Split the items up into pages with about 12-20 items per page.[/del] You have pages. My mistake. Is there a way to pull tags from eBay, so that you can add a search box to find key words. Eventually put the page on it's own domain and chuck a few ads on there. You deserve a little bit of profit =]
How exactly is this filtering the items out? Just by the sellers amount of ratings?
Thanks OP I just bought this.

Hm, for some reason the German version seems to only pick up listing with English titles. Might this be because you're still checking from ebay.com?
Any chance of an Australian one?
Hm, for some reason the German version seems to only pick up listing with English titles. Might this be because you're still checking from ebay.com?
ebay doesn't give me access to all the items, I need to search for keywords to find them. So I search for common things like 'new' and 'used', etc. It's picking up english titles because I'm looking for english spellings of words. If you can tell me some German keywords to search for it'll be able to find german items.
How exactly is this filtering the items out? Just by the sellers amount of ratings?
Yeah, under 25 ratings.
A few ideas: Add a way for the page to auto-refresh so the times countdown and finished items are removed from the page. You deserve a little bit of profit =]
I can't pull tags from eBay because I'd go over my request limit quickly, you'll only be able to search titles. I thought about an auto-refresh, but I would find it annoying to have a bunch of text changing all over the page... but maybe every 5 or 10 seconds it might not be so bad. Thanks for the suggestions. I really don't think I can make any profit from this though.
Any chance of an Australian one?
I'll look into this.
Needs a search feature, I don't feel like clicking next page 100 times or so.
Awesome! This is like http://fatfingers.com/, you search for something on eBay, and it misspells it for you so that you can find people who have spelt it wrong, meaning others wont be able to find it normally.
