So, to do that I'd need some crud for that. I'm sure my uncles got that stuff, but he's a while away, would need a case for it. Hopefully getting gun stuff for hannukah/xmas.
Hoppe's is sold in Wal-Mart. Everything is sold in Wal-Mart. And you can get gun oil, a universal cleaning kit and one other thing (the name of which escapes me) for about 30 bucks.

What's wrong with Hoppe's?
What's wrong with Hoppe's?
Nothing... I only said it was sold in Wal-Mart. And that almost every basic gun need is sold at wal-mart.

Lucky Americans being able to buy gun stuff at your Wal-Marts.

Canadian Tire has some stuff. Depends on the store/area really.
One store had a bunch of SKS's for pretty cheap too.

There are Crappy Tire stores that sell guns? God, what else have Toronto's municipal bylaws been robbing from me?
Apparently a lot. Even the Canadian Tire store a few streets from my house has ammo and I'm pretty sure some rifles. And I'm in Kitchener
I got a package of Slip2000 with my GSG-1911. Loved it. But damned if I can find anywhere that sells it.
Oh how I long for a G3-type of rifle...
Shit's so easy to use and maintain, too bad at least the norwegian AG3 rapes the brass and throws it four-seven meters away.
It gets dirty as fuck, but it's easy to strip and clean, for cleaning I just start off by smearing oil everywhere with my hands, then cleaning up the mess. The chamber is always the worst though, because of the delayed roller-lock system (basically there are two small indents that the bolt locks into, shit's so dirty man).
If I could own one, that's where all my money would go.
I'd like a collapsible stock on it though, the kind that goes all the way into the weapon, cause the gun turns into a small rifle you can have hanging on your side without getting in the way :v:
Picked up my 1941 Kar98k today, all I have is my phone to take pictures with.

And I did some open carrying, still legal until Jan 1st.

Darn you Vityaz, you have too much awesome stuff.
What happens January 1st that prohibits OC after that?
I've only seen 1 K98 available for purchase up here, and it was a mismatch in piss poor shape, it sold for $550. You're one lucky sonofabitch.
That is a seriously nice rifle... jealous.
Killed my first deer over the thanksgiving weekend with a .356 Winchester Lever-Action.
This is a big deal for me, killing a deer is a right of passage in my family, much like a bar mitzvah is to a Jewish boy.
6 points, not very big, it WAS his first year after all.
I am now the proud owner of a ~fabulous~ deer pelt rug at the foot of my bed.
I kinda want to try my hand at hunting but nobody in my family has really ever done it, plus I know none of the hunting laws for Illinois, except I heard somewhere that there isn't a very long rifle hunting season.
I'm brosing around page 40 for the pics of Ol' Bessie.
I'm thinking... I need to buy/ shoot more black powder stuff.
I've dabbled in hunting stuff and made great friends with my neighbour's who do all kinds of hunting (black powder especially). Helped skin a few deers with them and asked a bunch of questions blammunition wise.
I have since concluded that Black Powder rifles are fuggin FUN. The BOOM they make is borderline Garand PING addictive.
•Direct impingement a.ka residue and fouling everywhere
•Quite possibly the most awkward bolt system ever
•Loading handle is placed on back of receiver and pulled back along the stock
•Forward assist is trash and makes your hand bleed rather than get the bolt into battery
•Expensive
•Really sensitive when it comes to ammunition, cleaning and handling
•So
many
PARTS
•Buffer spring, meaning you need a big as fuck buffer tube, thus making it impossible to use folding stocks or similar with standard AR-15 setups (It's possible with overcomplicated, expensive custom stuff though!)
Y'know, you sure do bitch alot about guns that I'm willing to bet you've never handled.
I don't disagree at all with it being an outdated system an all that but you really do carry on.

Oh god, at the bs summercamp I go to, the rangemaster/instructor brings in stuff from his collection, lugers, winchester levers, and matchlocks. He lets us shoot his percussion cap rifle. Most people can't hit the target 50 feets away with it standing up, I got it both times I tried.

Open carry will be banned in California due to a bill passed by our wonderful Governor.

I think I got a good deal on this one, got it for around $250 and most of the parts match!
Went shooting after work today.
Open carry will be banned in California due to a bill passed by our wonderful Governor.
That sucks. Must be wicked easy to OC there all the time two. Not like here in the North East.
There's basically no any carry up here, as an Authorization to Carry permit from the Chief Firearms Office of your province is next to impossible to get.
Also, sold my first gun at the store today, a 20-guage Browning BPS Hunter.
