Too bad you couldnt shoot a gun of your own because you wasted money on a deac gun
too bad i couldn't shoot a gun of my own because it was impossible legally? taking a hunting proficiency course next month, so i'll get my guns soon enough :)
.45-70 is awesome.
Went to the sporting goods store half way considering a revolver....for $800, though, I left with this instead... Born in November 2004, and I figured there was a number missing from the price, but that is what it showed up on the register for. Tax free, even! :D The 25 minutes waiting for the background check to complete was the longest half hour of my life, I swear!
Squee! Favorite. Gun. Ever. Is it bad if I literally drooled on myself when I saw that picture? [editline]30th December 2011[/editline] WAIT! $800? Dayummmm. I'm so fucking jealous.
25 minutes waiting for the background check to complete was the longest half hour of my life, I swear!
Fuck you, you slimy pile of fuck!!!! I have to wait 9 days at the least!!!! 14 if I buy in my own state!!!!
Only takes 5 minutes for my background checks. :smug:
Hail to the King, baby.
I am so fucking jealous of you Ridge. Congrats on the new rifle.
Thank you. If you're ever in Denver, we can go shooting :)
I don't have to get a background check run on me, they did that when I applied for the license. All they have to do is a bit of work on the computer and some store records, and come February, they won't even have to do the computer bit, which will also make my job a lot easier.
Man them guys in the Midwest get all the fun stuff...
Thank you. If you're ever in Denver, we can go shooting :)
Now I got two reasons to go back to Denver!
Man them guys in the Midwest get all the fun stuff...
Not in Illinois. Wait 3 months for your FOID to come in after sending in an application, then have 1 day waits on long guns and 3 days on handguns. Although nowhere near as bad as California or some other states, compared to other Midwestern states it is nowhere near as relaxed.
Alright guys, I have a question to pose: So I've been browsing Gun Broker to find some interesting accessories and alterations for my Mosin Nagant, when I found these: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=267579493 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=266903922#PIC http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=265738689 What's the point of a muzzle brake?

Would any of those look good/work well on a nugget? Also, Prussel, obviously I didn't know or I wouldn't be asking here v:v:v [editline]1st January 2012[/editline] Wait shit, they're all the same. Anyways, second half of the question still stands
Do not get one of those muzzle brakes that replace the M44 bayonet. They're very prone to fly off. They don't sit tight, wobble around and have a high possibility of not being parallel with the barrel of the rifle as you shoot. TL;DR you can end up with the bullet ripping the whole brake off, or worse, fuck up the entire crown and front section of the barrel.
Alright, what would you suggest instead? I figure I should put a few hundred rounds through it before I really consider any major alterations.
Just a random thing but if there was one gun I could have, it would be this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIG_P210 Such a sexy weapon.
Don't get anything? There's no need to modify it. If you're complaing about the recoil (which is not nearly as bad as people mostly say), get a limbsaver and/or rubber recoil pad. Ruining a perfectly good crowning to install a mediocre recoil break on a nugget is silly. [editline]1st January 2012[/editline] Just get a sling, pouch, toolkit and oil flask for it if you don't have those
Alright, sounds good. I pretty much have everything that originally came with the Nagant because it was purchased from Big 5, which means it's the complete package. They also sell the rubber recoil pads that just slip over the original metal butt, so I think I'll grab one of those.
Did the Soviet army not design a muzzle break for the 91/30 and M44?
No, because only a wimp would whine about the recoil of 54r.
Got my hands on a very old Martini-Enfield 303, It was once part of a weapon shipment for the original UVF back in the war of independence. I'll get some pics up soon along with the UVF stamp on the stock.
So my brother and me decided to shoot our old mailbox: [t]http://i.imgur.com/IV2rh.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/HUXXd.jpg[/t] That was fun.
-boxes for the person trying to learn more yaaaay-
Nah, we were firing FMJ. That's just bits of the metal flying around. (I guess?)
Metal on metal at those speeds... fuckin epic.
So I totally wasn't planning on buying that M1A, and my bank account is kinda hurting....anyone wanna buy the AR-15 pistol? :) I'd have to ship it to a local FFL, of course.
On the topic of AKs and rails. Looks goddamn beautiful in my opinion.
What is that? I need to know where I can find one because I need it. I'm going shooting tomorrow. I'm excited. I'ma bring my Garand, Mauser, .45 and a .22.

Plinking is always fun. Once i get a gun we're going to go to the poorfag status public range and shoot my friends broken flatscreen tv.
