It is if you scale it to the airplane armor the nazis had. I reckon it could pierce the hull.
What's with the optimistic? Actually, now that you think about it that sounds like a silly idea. If you're a great shot you could try the windshield though. :v:
I'm not going to read the entire thread to see if it's already been posted, but I have a more-vertial version of that picture in the OP:
A bipod on a shotgun lol. People like to accessorize their shit, who wants another carbon copy AR when they can do some shit to make it look cooler in their eyes. Personally I like keeping it as simple as possible based on the function and use of that weapon, my defense shotgun is getting a pistol grip and perhaps a collapsible stock, parallel rails on the front for a blinding light / laser, and a red dot sight. I'll probably have the front rails off the gun most of the time anyway cause I don't like too much shit on a gun either. Guns can be fun and dressing them up to look all tactical is what some people want to do, I don't like using Chinese accessory shit on my gun mostly cause I enjoy quality. Most people who make their guns "tactical" don't understand a tactical gun needs to be lightweight, slim on the accessories, and read to fuck shit up when necessary. For a lot of people "tactical" is just a look, and that's up to them hate it all you want, I don't care for the over the top shit either; that's the beauty of America, you can do whatever you want to do to your gun (within the laws or your state/county), and I wouldn't have it any other way.
The problem when all the stuff they're adding is ebay chinese made airsoft parts.
That's not impressive to look at, it's pathetic to the point it's nearly sad.
As far as AR15s go, if it's carbine length, I just run them as they are. Screw optics and any sort of accessories. I have a NM 2 stage trigger and upgrades that aren't really noticeable to the naked eye. It's a sub moa gun that looks bone dry stock.
That's a hell of a lot cooler IMO. Its usability has just been improved.

What if I dont give a flying fuck about your internal upgrades? What if I want my gun to look like the one from Black Ops?
Didn't the Soviets do that occasionally in WW2 with nuggets to try and shoot down low-flying German aircraft?
I know the Japanese had AA sights for their Arisakas :v:

Yes, I have a translated Mosin manual and it includes tactics for shooting low-flying aircraft.
An Mini 14 with a folding stock is only good if it had a red dot on it. The iron sights are good enough though. The Mini 14 is not that great of a long ranged gun though. The newest versions can get around a 3" grouping at 100 yards. The older ones got 6" groupings.

A show on the history channel said that the arisaka was like the Cadillac of guns in WWII. It came with a mono-pod, aircraft sights and other accessories. Too bad it wasn't worth it.
So many gun stores in my area, I'll need to ask my semi-redneck friend what store I should look into. Trying to find a Mosin.

Yes, that's a bipod on a shotgun. Probably because he can't lift it anymore.
Not all shotguns have to be buckshot dude, ever heard of slugs?
Not all shotguns have to be buckshot dude, ever heard of slugs?
Then that barrel better be rifled. A smooth bore shotguns is not enough to have the use of a scope or bipod.
Not all shotguns have to be buckshot dude, ever heard of slugs?
Then why the hell put a flashlight and a forward grip on the darn thang?
It's got too much shit on it.

Whats wrong with guns from video games :colbert:

You don't need a rifled bore to be shoot'n slugs. I shoot slugs all the time on my smooth bore, and that shit is on target...

Hey I've got nothing against it, to each his own. However a gun from any COD kinda makes me cringe, wanting a gun from COD just reminds me of little kids who know nothing about real guns or real war. Are the guns cool? Sure, but I just don't like the principal of it. I'd still rock a gun from any COD I just wouldn't invest too much into it. I really hate the COD shit cause I work at an Airsoft field, and you can imagine how many fucking immature kids wanna dress up like COD and run around, so many kids ask "hey can we throw knives to get kills". So I'm biased.

COD or not, I would really love to shoot a Kriss Super V.

From what I've collected it's a relatively low-recoil sub-machine gun that makes .40 feel like .22.
If anything I'd want to fire a Saiga-12 someday. Kicks more than an AA-12 due to it's Kalashnikov-style system but hell, it looks awesome.
Or maybe a Vintar. That gun is beautiful.
From what I've collected it's a relatively low-recoil sub-machine gun that makes .40 feel like .22.
Those things are supposedly fucking amazing in terms of recoil, I'd get it in .45 just because of that :v:

For the record, its real name is Vintorez.

Vintar, Vintorez...Weren't they two separate guns? IIRC Vintar was the one with a larger magazine but no built-in scope, designed to be used as an assault rifle while the Vintorez was more of an automatic sniper.
Either way, beautiful guns.

Vintar is the name used in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
IRL the sniper rifle version is called VSS Vintorez, which is a modified AS VAL, the latter being the original rifle.
[editline]7th May 2011[/editline]
But yes, I agree, they're both beautiful. I'd get one someday if only norwegian firearm laws weren't so strict and butthurt about "milspec" weapons and weapons that descend from the AK family.

They look like fun to shoot.
Its just that they're so expensive...
Yes, you can shoot slugs with a smooth bore barrel, but a red dot sight will do much better on it than a high powered scope. The scope is better when used on a rifled shotgun barrel.

If you want a Mosin, expect ALOT of recoil when you fire it, and the price of 7.62 is $1.00 each.

Oh right.
Forgive my idiocy. Been playing too much Shadow of Chernobyl lately.
It's understandable most countries don't want civilians carrying automatic rifles but still, if they have decent military background shouldn't they be able to carry one? Hot damn. Norway is a cool country but like Australia and many other countries next to it, the strict gun laws take away some fun.

Not even semiautomatic AK-pattern rifles are allowed.
Not even semiautomatic AK-pattern rifles are allowed.
What.
Allright, that's bullshit. At least in my country they allow semi-automatic rifles that aren't exactly .50 caliber.
It's funny because the only reason they're banned is that they're of "military character". The same applies to the M1/M14 family and a shitload of other firearms.
