In what shithole state is loaded mags illegal?
this is quite late but what is the gun above the bottom one? it skips me atm
Sorry, it's not a Sagia-12.
I read your question wrong.

Jesus, even in Kalifornia they can carry loaded mags separate from their firearm...

Or in them, if you've got a permit. Or if you're on private property. Or if you're on unincorporated federal land and have a hunting license...
Ugh I don't like these gigantic letters in the quote boxes now..
-snip-
What do you guys think about scout rifles? Ya know, the ones made by Styer, Savage, and Ruger?
Steyr is high end stuff, Savage is affordable and Ruger is crap.
Ruger is crap.
Ive never had a single FTF, FTE, or any sort of malfunction with my 10/22 and Ive lost count of how many bricks of ammo its eaten :colbert:
10/22's are nice fun guns, cheap too.
I shot about 3 x 20 rounds at my friend's house and it the only reason it jammed once was the plastic fantastic aftermarket magazine.
Ew plastic mags.
Our 10/22's hate Remington shit ammo, and hate Winchesters disgustingly dirty copper coated ammo
they spit Federal .22's everywhere though Federal is like never misfire ever, rems and wins are constantly not going off
Might not mean much with a rifle but with a shotgun it can be fatal. When I was younger I used to be a part of my counties clay shooting team, juvenile of course. I was messing with a pump that kicked like a mule for the day and the next morning i woke with my shoulder black and blue, when I went to school people thought I had been shot. 70 shells I fired and the bruising lasted 3 weeks.
I don't like the Ruger .22 pistols, but I have been looking at their Mini 14 line.
Pistols in anything under 7,62 are dumb. Especially those fucking ugly "match target lightweight competition"-pistols.
The hell are you talking about?
I plan on getting a .22 pistol as my first handgun for the same reasons I bought a .22 as my first rifle.
The negligible recoil allows you to develop good form, and you can shoot it a ton since ammunition is dirt cheap, so you get good practive. Plus they are just fun to shoot.
Talking about firearms; my dad, working with ERP, is right now doing business with one of the main manufacturers of red dot sights in the US. :v:
Can't remember their name, though.
she can handle me anyway she wants
I'd rather get a conversion kit for a 1911 or Sig instead of buying one of those butt ugly Walthers.

That gun is designed to shoot good first and look good last.
Why not post a pic of a Sig Mosquito, Walther P22 or GSG-1911 as an example of a .22 pistol?
Figure A: a bad shooting stance. Notice the bad grasp around the stock and leaning back.

If there's one thing that pisses me off about chicks shooting, it's how their stance automatically sucks from minute 1.
Because most of the time people just give the girl a gun and say have fun.
If they seriously want to learn how to shoot, they learn the right stance before shooting.
Also, someone mentioned scout rifles. Only thing that came to mind was Sako.
Uhhm what? Sako and Tikka are different manufacturers
Fixed, someone's been talking shit to me.
Either way, the Finnlight is a fucking beautiful rifle (even if it's not a "scout rifle").
Just googled it, gorgeous.
My dad has a TRG-22, though.

:v:
We're still separated by the hostile swedish so I doubt it.
He always takes it to the cabin when I visit him in middle Finland. There we compete against each other all day in terms of accuracy. Well, almost all day. He doesn't have enough dosh to buy ammo infinitely, it's pretty costly in the long run.
The hell, you're a Finn? I always believed you were a Texan or something.
Can't you see that small box under my avatar?
It has a finnish flag on it.
For example, I know you use Opera, use Windows and are norwegian.
Either it's because of the script or garry added it. If it was just the script and there are no flags for regular FP users I am seriously pissed that someone actually knows my nationality now.
Yeah I see it now, I didn't notice it earlier. Only your OS howed up as a question mark earlier, no browser or flag.
Thank god, I'm not going crazy. Anyway, let's keep this ontopic.
Do you like smaller calibers over the large ones? I kind of do. Shooting a huge bullet and feeling the massive kick just brings an awesome feel of power, but if you want to just be accurate and shoot casually, in my opinion a small caliber like .22 is better.
Actually, I find .308 is comfortable as it is (in bolt actions). The recoil is almost non-existent. 12/76 is pretty okay in shotguns too. I assume the recoil is even smoother and lighter in semi-autos. I'm fairly convinced my first bolt-action centrefire will be either a Tikka T3 or a Kar98k in .30-06, shotgun possibly a 870 due to their simplicity and reliability. Either way it will be in 12/76 or 89!
Ah, so much talk about shotguns yet I've only fired a break-action :smith:

How is that even possible?
If I'm ever to get a break-action it will most likely be a O/U and either Beretta or a Stair Baikal. Side by side-shotguns are ugly. :v:
But to answer your question, sure thing, smaller calibres are fun, but if I get into loading and get a decent rig (Possibly a TRG-22/42, Tikka T3 Super Varmint/Tactical or a refinished Mauser) I'll be shooting long-dist, which means I'll go somewhere between .308win and .338 lapua mag/win mag.
The one I shot was an over-under as well. Shot some trap with it and hit every single disc. Playing video games every day wasn't all in waste after all!

Gun science. I don't know myself, but this clears it up a little.
So, making a competition double-barrel shot gun into a single barrel shotgun. Interesting idea, but looks expensive.
