How about the noise amplifier thing the yankees developed? You know, the one that sends super-strong high frequencies that causes you disorientation and headache when you step in it's invisible beam? It was pretty accurate too, the area it affected was really lined up in inches. Used for crowd control methinks.

Buuuut, it has come under question as being too harmful, even though it's extremely effective. It's the most effective non-lethal thing we have. What about tear gas? That'll hurt you for a longer period of time, this may leave ringing in your ears for another minute, and a head-ache, but it'll pass. So, you need to be 18 to own a rifle, correct?

You know what I would like to acquire? A SPAS 12. I just like the way they look.
You know what I would like to acquire? A SPAS 12. I just like the way they look.
I used to think so, too. Bu the gun is heavy as hell, and extremely unreliable. Hell, it's most famous usage was in the movie Jurassic Park, where the hero gets 3 shots off and then the gun stovepipes. It's the only time I've ever not been angry by a character throwing a gun away, because it was shit.
That is not an Ithaca 37, the Ithaca 37 has the ejection port on the bottom. That looks more like a Remington 870 cut down and modded by Serbu, who I think is based in Florida. They take Mossbergs and 870s typically and do that to them.
Nope, Serbu was not even around when this gun was in use. It is a custom Ithaca 37 made specially for Miami Vice. Its barrel is sawed off, a heat shield and Pachymar pistol grip. The gun: Serbu Super Shorty: They do look remarkably similar though.
OMG HEATGUARD :siren: ASSAULT SHOTGUN :siren: [editline]29th May 2011[/editline] 600 RPM!
The Pancore Jackhammer: another 1980's futuristic weapon that never seen production past prototype stage, manufactured by Mark Three designs in New Mexico. It was a really interesting design. It was gas operated, cassette fed and air cooled. The cassette system is what really made this gun unique. It was preloaded and rotated like a revolver's. It was not possible to load single cartridges into the weapon and empty shells were not ejected while firing they all remained inside the cassette. I think a weapon of similar design was used in Farcry, but i have not played that game in years. As an added bonus the cassettes doubled as a small anti personnel mine. Best gun in max payne. Hands down.
Anyone else prefer the Saiga-12 over the AA-12? Saiga doesn't have the spring system but IIRC it's more reliable and lighter.
completely different weapons
Both are shotguns with detachable box magazines.
Repost from my clan forum.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/OEdMB.jpg[/img_thumb]
Top to bottom: Mossberg 500A Super Bantam 12 gauge Price: ~$250 Weight: 3.3 kilograms Description: My dad's shotgun. Mossberg 500E Super Bantam .410 Price: ~$250 Weight: 3.2 kilograms Description: My shotgun. Mosin-Nagant Model 1944 Carbine (7.62x54R) Price: $100 Weight: 4.1 kilograms Description: My personal baby. We got it coated in cosmoline and we degunked it, sanded it, and refinished it. It's GORGEOUS and a blast to shoot. It was made by the Tula Armory too, so it's much more rare and valuable than the more common Izhevsk Armor M44s. Reason being, Tula only made them one year, Izhevsk made them for a few. Ruger 10/22 Target Rifle .22 Long Rifle Price: ~$200 Weight: 2.4 kilograms Description: My dad's old rifle. I bring it out adventuring in the desert shooting birds then feeling bad. Awesome thing is, 500 rounds is only about $18-20. Tactic00lol Ruger Mini-14 (.223/5.56) Price: ~$850 Weight: 3.3 kilograms Description: Our most recent purchase, really fun to shoot and very accurate. Has a folding and retractable stock, too. Dad didn't figure we'd need ear protection the first time we shot it because "The round isn't THAT much bigger than our .22 is it?". 3 shots and nearly deaf ears later, we went home and got some. Before you go all "LOL TACTICAL GAY" it was actually $50 cheaper than the standard Mini 14 at the store we went to, free rail system so I don't care. Now that I've got a job, I'm going to save up and buy a S&W Model 29. Always wanted a revolver, go big or go home.
-stuff-
That Moist Nugget :q:
How would i go about sanding down a laminated Mosin M44 stock?
With sandpaper or a belt sander
With sandpaper or a belt sander
Pretty much this. All we did was clean out the cosmoline, sand off the coating, and sand it a bit further so everything was even and not discolored. For some reason my dad thought it'd be a good idea to sand the paint off a few of the metal bits, which looks strange, but overall it looks way nicer after fixing it up. Although "gun collectors" usually say refinishing old weapons is a no no, I'm actually firing this one so it's not really about collecting value, more about looking good while I shoot it.

I am amazed at your combined gun ownership and stupidity... Also, very important to note so you dont blow up your mini-14 EBR; UNLESS it says 5.56 on the gun, DO NOT SHOOT 5.56 through it, your gun will KABOOM. The military 5.56 stuff is normally thicker brass. Not a lot, but enough to change the internal volume of the cartridge. A 5.56 chamber has a bit more leade (the 'free jump' space at the end of the chamber before the bullet gets to the lands in the bore). That bit of extra leade creates an effectively larger chamber, keeping pressure from building quite as high. The downside to this is that a rifle with a 5.56 chamber will probably not be as accurate as one with a match .223 chamber. It's a matter of degrees though - you'd probably need to bench the rifle to see the difference in accuracy, and even then there are so many variables between rifles that it (the accuracy differences due to chamber type) may get lost in the noise. Firing a 5.56 round in a .223 chamber can lead to an overpressure situation thanks to the effectively smaller chamber caused by the shorter jump to the lands (leade). BTW, Model 29 is LOUD, wear ear protection :P

But i shot a .223 at my cabin and felt like a boss because of how the classic rock slowly faded back in while i shot at some paper :v
The only shotgun I ever fired was a 10 gauge french double barrel for hunting. Kicked like a roaring buffalo

How am i supposed to hear my surroundings? Also .22 sub sonic?
Fuck that, If i'm hunting then i don't want ear protection. How am i supposed to hear my surroundings? Also .22 sub sonic?
Umm active ear pro?
Umm active ear pro?
Are those the ones that turn on over a certain level of sound?
No, they filter out all sounds in certain frequencies (that you choose when purchasing it). So if you want to you can even filter the animals you aren't hunting. You can also have the enhace certain frequencies like from the animals you are hunting.
Never heard of them... probably haven't made it too Australia yet.
