Your girlfriend is definitely hotter than you.
Heh, you guys are all chumps. I have a Grizzly semi-automatic BB gun, capable of piercing a popcan from 20 meters away.
Talk about fucking badass.

Saw this in a magazine, pretty cool.

Wait a minute...
It is obviously just the angle of the photo (or maybe not) your girlfriends got a nice tumor on her left side. That or it's a third boob.

Bought another one in january, been waiting to shoot it since then; gun club hasn't sent me my new range badge and its been over a month since i paid for the renewal. I'm a 10 year member...quite frustrating...
The reason we fired it with crap in the bore is because my father had actually fired it with different ammo beforehand also not knowing there was crap in it. Then it hung on a wall for who knows how many years before we cleaned it and had this incident. After this incident, we cleaned it and removed the aforementioned gunk and proceeded to flip a shit. That is why I stated the gunk was "cemented" in the bore because it managed to escape several cleanings without coming out.
I sincerely believe finding the correct 6.5 Jap ammo is the problem, since there seem to be 4 different types that would all fit and only one correctly.
Also, you can tell the guys at /k/ that I'm not dead because both when my father fired this and when we fired it this second time, it was sandbagged down and we pulled the trigger with a lanyard BECAUSE we didn't know what the gun would do, being as old as it was.
This is the ammo my father used in it:

Here is the ACTUAL correct ammo:

You do not want a wristbreaker shotgun. I don't know if you're a mossberg fan, but I'd suggest going with a Remington 870. The 870 Express Slug gun is excellent, so is the 870 Wingmaster; have both, work flawlessly. I specifically like the sights on the slug gun, nice and big and they pull up quickly:

I'm not really a Mossberg or Remington guy. Just looking around at shotguns it seems like the Mossberg would suit me pretty well. Are there any advantages of a Remington over a Mossberg aside from the steel receiver?

If money is not an object to you, get a Mossenberg.
Just put some Hogue Grips on my 92fs.

I like.
That must feel nice to grip.

UGLY! UGLY! BURN THE GRIPS!
Seriously. Put them on a 1911 that is blued or something like that.
That grip on the 1911 isn't supposed to be.
So as i said before i have sanded the stock of my Mosin down to the wood... it had a varnish on it and i think it looks nicer without.
Nice! When you're re-finishing it, apply water to it some hours earlier so the fibre of the wood stands up and let the oil soak more easily. I should redo my 91/30, it's incredibly roughed up. :v:
I have been told to use a 50/50 mixture of linseed oil and turpentine to get the grain to stand out... the guy who told me has been shooting for years and is a gun dealer/collector/refurbisher.
Also it is a Laminated stock so I'm not sure how that will turn out.

Are you going to stain it and put linseed oil on it or give it a satin finish? I stained and satin finished mine, looks great.

It's nice but I'd personally prefer it without that grip. I like the classic look of it.
How much would a decent M1911 set you back in the states?
How much would a decent M1911 set you back in the states?
Depends on the brand really. I'd say they'd start at around $450 (you could probably find them cheaper if you looked hard enough, I'm just going by ballpark figures that I've seen around in shops) and go up above $1000 depending on what model / make you buy.
Cheapest I have seen was around $600 new. For used, it is up to you to look around.

The blued one in the pics I posted cost $546 from Auto Ordnance; it is a 1911 commemorative edition and very good out of the box. I made it better with a beavertail saftey, match grade commander style hammer and match grade trigger and those grips.
Heres a 25 ft group with it out of the box:
I shot a candy cane as well :3
Twenty-five FEET or twenty-five METERS?
Feet, I'm not that good at 60 feet! It was an indoor pistol range; this happens to be an M-16 sight-in target you're supposed to use at 25 meters.
Canada you can get a new 1911 for around $400 and probably find a used one for $300ish
