.22 rifle and probably the PPK, since it's what, .380? That would have minimal recoil.
I want a PPK... fucking Aussie gun laws. A "friend" said he could get me one for $1200 but that's a bit pricy.
Come to California and I'll sell you one for only $1100.
I think the PPK is .32ACP, and unfortunately that's one of the reasons it's banned in Canada. That, and its barrel is too short. Pisses me off, I saw one sell to a prohib license owner for only $350. This is one of the reasons I want to own property in the States some day.
The PPK is both .38 and .32ACP. It depends on the model you buy.
He has a FFL and buys guns to sell off his website, then you go to his house to pick it up and fill out paperwork and get your gun. Not sure if thats illegal or not, but its nice.
If you have an FFL, you are supposed to have a place of business other than your home to sell from and it must be properly secured with safe(s) trigger lock(s) and alarm system. Otherwise = illegal.

But I definitely meet him at his place.
What is the general consensus on these? I was thinking of picking one up just for recreation, and because I love 1911's.

What type of shooting are you participating in?

One of them cracked, and they're made of cheap plastic. I picked up a 30 round Remy 597 mag, it looks like they attached retardation onto one of the normal 10-round mags. I got the black one, I don't like the clear one.

Get the GSG-1911. It'll cost about half as much.
I forgot to mention the Chiappa stovepipes the spent cartridges a lot, and last time I was using it, it had feeding issues. It has its fair share of issues, and some parts of it could be better designed (I think the mag release had to be replaced in this one within a month), but when it works it's a good, fun gun.

Will I get what I pay for and have it break down and jam more?
There are a lot of decently priced .22 pistols out there. I bought a Beretta 22 Neos for $280 and Browning Buckmarks in my area's Cabelas are $150.

Disassembled the gun, gave it some brute force and it was good again after that. E: Photos! Facepunch, the Hi-Point JCP, what is your opinion of it? I could get one for $250, is it worth it?
$250 is too much for one. I loved my 9mm carbine, but I personally wouldn't buy one of their pistols. That said, somebody on a local gun board just bought one for $160.
And what about $170 for a Tokarev TT-33 that comes with 2 mags, a holster, and a cleaning rod?
I found my dads old Stevens 86D .22, and I love it. I love it more than his Ruger 10/22. I'm gonna try and restore all the parts.

It looks familiar but I can't think of the name.
Remington 770 in .308 A lot of operating operators piss on it (and insulted me for owning it) compared to the beloved 700. But it shoots accurate, is comfortable, and is affordable. It's all I give a damn about in a hobby.

These physically hurt me to look at. Wow, those must be DPMS Glacier Guards to stand up to that heat without deforming :v:
I cried.
I still haven't quite decided on what handgun I want. These are good, right?
handgun in .22? :l
Yes, a handgun in .22. Do you have a problem with that?
