There's been a huge influx of Russian SKS rifles into Canada recently, and from what I've heard one of the importers is trying to get another ~20,000 over due to the popularity and cheap price ($130-$170, usually).

Hopefully they have better luck than us getting back our M1 Garands and Carbines from South Korea...
Last time the importer brought in 15,000 Russian SKSes, they sat for nearly a year waiting for customs clearance, the people I know who bought some from that shipment were a bit pissed at the wait.
The more I read about Vermont, the more I want to move. Damn, everything seems beautiful there...
Also, I just learnt about how in the US you can just pay the right tax stamps and boom, you can own rocket launchers and relative ammo. I think I finally found my home.

If you're rich yeah.
If you are the average person have fun saving up the money just to literally shoot it away
Only the fact it's legal makes the US sound incredibly awesome. Well, until Donald Trump goes batshit and levels Las Vegas with an RPG and a gold-plated minigun.
Oh man, I just had that pictured in my mind. It was awesome, it made a michael bay movie look like watching paint dry.

haha, what?
It's pretty much true though, I live in Arizona, and with enough money and the right number of background checks, I can pretty much purchase anything short of stuff reserved for the police and military.

Does anyone have any suggestions when it comes to finding a good, classy pump shotgun? I really would like something akin to this:

And yes, I know how hard it is to find a legitimate one, but I'm fine with replicas.

My local shop has three or four of those (without the heat shields). They also have a few 1897 replicas that I'm contemplating... bit pricey for what they are though.
Just search the local shops and Gunbroker and see what you can come up with.

Sweet shit, buy one and mail it to me, I'll pay you back :v:

Besides, I could make a heat-shield that simplistic myself

I don't think you're willing to travel from the US to Italy to get a single rifle...
And most of all, I want that fucking thing. I'll see if the owner is willing to keep it in his house for a bit more if I give him part of the money, just enough time to get a basic permit.

They're a little rough around the edges haha. Don't know how badly you'd want they ones they have.
Speaking of rough around the edges... the same shop has an M1903A3 that has definitely seen better days. Poor gun's stock looks half rotten, some of the metal parts are a bit rusty and the bore is horrible. On top of all that someone carved "dawn patrol" into the stock... very badly. The letters look like some small kid carved them with his pocket knife. Made me sad :frown: And they wanted $700 for it! I got mine way cheaper in much better condition...

I've wanted a FAL since... I can't even remember. I don't suppose they'd ship?

I've seen them go from $290-$600 maximum.
Slam-fire like a boss
Jesus, everyone and their mother wants a FAL, that just makes it harder and more expensive for me :v:

I have the police version, it's fairly old as it was robbed off the RIC some 90 years ago during the war. It's a real find, it still has the police stamp on it after all these years. Took a lot of effort to get it back in working order though.
Also I've spent the last week and a half working away from home, but I picked up some really nice 7.62x54 ammunition, over here its an absolute bitch to get a hold of as there ain't many nagants and Aks knocking about.

No, everyone wants an AR-15. The FAL's are pricey since its not from the U.S.

Up here FALs are banned and ARs are too expensive, everyone up here wants an SKS, because the gun is cheap, reliable, and you can get bulk army surplus steel core Czech bullets for the same cost as 2 of the guns.
Also, Prussel, every gun you just listed there, except a CZ AK clone, is banned in Canada. It makes me sad.

HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT FOR IT OH GOD
He probably means that there are mostly fudds and not that much surplus ammo around there.
Only of those legal in norway are the AUG and some ak clone
fal used to be legal but the assault style ban something something some years ago makes it impossible to get news ones, so only people that purchased one before that has one.
There is a G3'ish legal rifle too, I think it's the HK91, the civilian G3 in .223, but I'm not sure right, too lazy to look it up right now.
But Mabus, why would an AK have anything to do with 7,62x54r??
Its x39 isn't it, I get them mixed up quite a bit. I'm no expert on soviet weaponry hahaha. In answer to your question ewitwins, I can't sell it at any price as it has no license and it is of sentimental and historic value, I went through every curse word in two languages to get it working again.
My plinker has had a few changes. I painted the upper, stock and grip desert tan out of boredom. Added a Bipod, Bushnell Scope and handgrip (for when I feel like using the 30rd mag). Shoots like a Dream :3

That's a pretty good paint job!
I've just about decided against getting a Mosin-Nagant. There's WAY too much upkeep if you fire it regularly, and that's not what I'm really looking for. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to have one, but right now I want a rifle that I don't have to clean every time I shoot it. I'm actually looking at AKs because of this.
You DO realise you don't have to shoot corrosive cartridges, right?
Yeah about around here, one round of 7.62x54r non-surplus goes for about 2 dollars at all the stores I've been too. I'm not really in favor of spending 2 dollars per bullet.
lmao you think 2 dollars is much?

For a single boolet eet is.
I'm not really one to talk with my 7mm Rem Mag. $25 up to $60 for a box of 20 rounds hurts the ol wallet. :[

Dude, that's gay, I can find corrosive military surplus 7.62x54R shit for $0.33/bullet up here.
Shit, you said non-surplus... That's like $4/round up here, nevermind.
Also, you do know the AK fires 7.62x39, most of which uses the same corrosive Russian primer, right? It'd require just as much cleaning, actually probably more due to how much more ammo you'd put through it, as the Mosin.
Also, somewhat off-topic, if the Mosin Nagant is referred to as a Moist Nugget, is the Nagant M1895 referred to as a mini nugget?
