A while back I got a Kel-Tec p11 for $170 because I wanted something in 9mm. overall its a really nice gun I've put 50 rounds through it and it shoots fine, my only complaint is the hard trigger pull. I am thinking about giving it to my dad to have in his truck and I wanted to know if the gun would be ok for self defense. I'm not to crazy about it either but it was the cheapest 9mm I could find that wasn't a hi-point.
Did you hear Toronto's old mayor? Every shooting, all he said was "ban handguns, ban handguns," even if it was a shooting with a long gun. I swear, if école Polytechnique hadn't been done with a legal gun, we'd be in a very different place right now in terms of gun control, and unfortunately, any anti is going to keep bringing EP up over an over to try and make things worse. I remember in the 2008 leadership debate, everyone but the Tories' policies on reducing crime was to outright ban all semi-automatic firearms. Fucking ridiculous.
Just thinking about Polytechnique makes me rage. That guy was a fucking little bitch and if 4chan existed in the 80's he'd be there. Lanky aspie nerd who blames women for them not liking him cause hes awkward and has no social skills so he shoots people and fucks Canada's gun laws for the next 1000 years. Fuck you Lepine little bitch
Where did you get them?
The AR I built myself from parts. The two Remingtons I bought at a gunshow from a dealer. He knocked off about $100 for the pair of them. [editline]22nd July 2011[/editline]
Why does FP have a hardon for Keltecs? They're outright ugly plastic guns that look incredibly brittle and low-quality..
:colbert:
Just out of curiosity what fires the LSAT caseless rounds?
Nothing. The US arm experimented with it and there are images of it hooked into Replica MG's of some description but I'm sure they never got pass designing the ammo, same with the Plastic Cased round. The G11 fired another design of caseless ammunition, Not the LSAT.
I do believe the gun used in the EP shootings is still a non-restricted in Canada, it's almost like the gun bans did NOTHING to prevent another.
Good to see that Norway is some what smart when it comes to guns. If the same shit happened in Canada I'd fear a handgun ban by idiots that's for sure. Well maybe not with the current conservative majority but in any other case. [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline] Uh 5 years for 5 guns? That is pretty shitty. And I always see Dutch people on /k/ complaining how restrictive their laws are and stuff you sure some stuff isn't banned?
As far as I know there's no bans regarding firearms at all. Even the KNSA (Koninklijke Nederlandse schutters associatie - Royal Dutch shooters association) Has nothing to say about any bans except full-automatic.
I do believe the gun used in the EP shootings is still a non-restricted in Canada, it's almost like the gun bans did NOTHING to prevent another.
It was a mini 14 with a dreaded baby killing 30 round CLIP
Yep, and as it was not prescribed as prohibited through one of the Prohibited Weapons Orders, it's still a perfectly legal, and actually non-restricted, firearm because it's barrel length on the 2 legal variants are 559mm and 470mm. The only thing the new restrictions have done to "prevent" it again is limit the magazine size, and manually pinned magazines I don't think are that hard to unpin.
Why does FP have a hardon for Keltecs? I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one, it looks like a fun gun, even for business its small light and concealable to a certain degree. It takes G17 magazines too. You just take what you can get here so I probably never will get a hands on with one mind.
Anyone heard anything about SIG P250s? There's three here at my shop, one in 9, the other two in .40 and .45. Was thinking about maybe grabbing one. They're pretty small, look good for concealed carry.

I'm going to be challenging the restricted test tomorrow, I'm fairly confident, but I'm thinking of re-reading the book again. Not sure if I should bother or not. I'm just hoping I don't fail, the RCMP gave me a deadline to get the restricted paperwork in by with my application, and if I fail this I don't think I'll be able to get it in on time.
I'm going to try and purchase a Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308 Winchester Soon. Sub MOA rifle out of the box with the right ammo/shooter according to many reviews. Do want.
Well, I passed, but I'm disappointed in myself. Couldn't even PROVE the single action revolver safe because I full cocked it instead of half cocking it and I kept forgetting to drop the mag first on the semi-auto. I should have known better.
Well you passed, and you know what your mistakes were, so good for you!
Well you passed, and you know what your mistakes were, so good for you!
Hey Ridge, how is your 770? I found one today for $290 in .300 WinMag; kinda considering it.
Why winmag? Why not .308?
Well, that's what they had. I haven't heard anything bad about the WinMag either besides the supposedly stout recoil... but recoil doesn't really bother me much anyway. I was just curious as to how his rifle performed.
Hey Ridge, how is your 770? I found one today for $290 in .300 WinMag; kinda considering it.
I like it. It's a straight shooter. Only real complaint is it has issues pulling a round out of the mag sometimes. But I would get a cheaper, easier round, like the .308 on mine. If they have one in stock, they can probably order you one as well. It does NOT like mil-spec .308 or 7.62x51, though. Every shot was a serious pain to eject. Had to yank on the bolt handle, because every round seized up against the chamber.

Same with a .223 gun shooting 5.56, other way around is ok however.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few of their data stamps actually said 5.56.
I've never had an issue with 5.56/.223, but this gun definitely does not like SAAMI spec .308
I want to buy a new gun, recommend me something that's legal in Norway, cheap to shoot and easy to maintain and is not a Sauer, Mini-14, Nugget, Rem 700'ish or Krag.
Dad already has a 452 and I've been looking at getting a 10/22 for some time now, but I feel that I just can't use it for anything other than shooting tincans. I did however find a shotgun I'd like to buy if the seller ships to Norway: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=242908294 omfg COWADOOTY
Apparently the Keltec KSG will be, so that makes the Spas-12 legal from what I get.
The way I see it, it's because of the length and the magazine that the KSG might be illegal, while a full length Spas-12 doesn't have an issue with neither. And I can't seem to recall it being on any specific ban lists either.
That's for hunting purposes, if I apply for clay pigeons I'll have a good chance I'll say.
And the KSG doesn't fulfill the minimum length. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] Uhm That's like saying you can own a Bofors 40mm because it's for shooting at planes
In Canada you can :smug:
Do you really think they'll be that catious for a 6-shot semi-auto for clay pigeons? EDIT: The full stock version is limited to 6 shots while the folding stock has 8.
So wait in Norway its 5 rnds for a semi auto? so why would you think you can get away with more than that lol. It's not like breaking the law is a gradient scale. The stupid cap laws are worthless though. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] We can buy PTRDs for target shooting :smug:
