P64 is banned in Canada, too short of a barrel. Same with the CZ. I hope for Prussel's sake there's no barrel restrictions on guns in Norway. Those seem like awesome, cheap prices, but a 106mm barrel length minimum prohibits me from ever getting them into this country.
Wow, Canada bans a lot...
Wow, Canada bans a lot...
Yeah, unfortunately the Liberals did...
Yeah, unfortunately the Liberals did...
Canada wasn't always like that?
Canada wasn't always like that?
Nope, up until 1995 as far as I know you could get a fully automatic firearm in Canada, after the Liberals under the power of Jean Chretien got into parliament with a majority they started banning things wantonly, some stories say they looked through magazines and banned things that looked "scary" and things that were of the .50 calibre, instead of outright banning the calibre like they did with .25 and .32 calibre pistols. Then they put restrictions on barrel length because GOD FORBID you should own a gun to defend yourself against criminals, OH NO, that makes you WORSE than them you evil monster, wanting to defend yourself, so they didn't want people to be able to get "concealable" guns. This arbitrary, just over 4" barrel length restriction, as well as the ban on .32 calibre handguns, prohibits people from getting many nice pieces of history, a prime example being the Luger, as most had a 4" barrel, literally 4mm away from being legal. Now we have a Conservative majority, and I remain optimistic that they'll go farther than just eliminating the long gun (non-restricted) registry, such as raising magazine restrictions (currently 5 rounds in semi-auto rifles, 10 rounds in pistols), unbanning a lot of the dumb prescribed prohibited firearms, and if we're really lucky lowering or eliminating the barrel length restrictions.

They sympathize with illegal immigrants and murders. Most violent offenders here serve 1/3 of their sentence, and make bail easy. Go out and commit more crime. Also in Maryland, one can only get a carry permit with "good reason." Good reason means you need to have a violent stalker, or own a pharmacy or be a cop or something. Don't do any of that? Better carry mace and be able to outrun a bullet. If you outlaw guns, only outlaws have guns. I hate radical liberals. I'm a liberal, but not THAT liberal to where I think guns need to be banned. Did you know America, with the 2nd amendment has "illegal guns" now?
I knew about California banning guns and the prohibition of post-'86 autos, as well as Bill Clinton's ban on importing Norinco firearms. Other than that, I thought it was a per-state thing, and often ended in lawsuits that prevailed on the side of the 2nd amendment.

I have been there once, but never again. But yes, gun laws are per state for the most part. Also, in Maryland I can't buy magazines holding over 20 rounds. But it's perfectly legal to drive to PA or Virginia to buy them. Stupid as fuck.
In Canada you can't even possess magazines for semi-autos over 5 rounds, except for like 20 exceptions on really old guns and a set of STANAG mags that were made for a pistol, but work in pretty much every NATO gun. Because those are pistol mags you can have 10 rounds in them, same with Beretta PX4 Storm magazines working in the CX4 Storm, 10 rounds. I'm just wondering about one nice technicality, there's no restriction on pump action firearms' magazine sizes, and there's a Remington pump-action rifle, the 7615P, that accepts STANAG mags. I'm wondering why people don't try to import mags "designed for" this rifle and use it in others, because it would technically be perfectly legal then to possess standard 30 round STANAG mags as long as you say it's technically for that Remington. The great thing is you wouldn't even have to own that rifle, just say they're designed for it and if the RCMP had let it slide, you'd get away with it, but therein arises the issue, the RCMP.

Obviously you have less restrictions.
Be a cop then man. Obviously you have less restrictions.
Only when on duty, when a cop is off duty, he's just as evil and satanic as ever other firearms owner in the Liberals' eyes.

This is both beautiful and fantastically fucking expensive at the same time, just thought it was drool-worthy: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=245462583#PIC
Only ~5000 of those revolvers were ever produced, my God, do want, but it's so expensive, and out of the country...
CZ-58s are AK clone rifles, though, and banned in Canada. There are also no CZ pistols for less than ~$600 that I can find (or bother looking hard for ATM). As for Polish, there don't tend to be many Polish guns in Canada. The only one I know of in recent circulation is an Uzi clone, and the only other one I could think that would be found is the Vis wz. 35, and those run upwards of a few thousand around here now.
The vz.58 is not an AK clone. It is nothing like an AK.
The vz.58 is not an AK clone. It is nothing like an AK.
Exactly. Not even a variant. Totally different firing mechanism from an AK.
I don't even know how someone can think the VZ58 and any AK variant are similar
"They look alike, so they must be the same."
ban all firearms and regulate forks, spoons and tupperware!!!
Ohnoes!
Ban planks, sticks and branches, they can look like guns or swords
Crazy ass conservative idiots.
SAME HANDGUN GUYS
The aesthetic differences between, what is that, a Nambu and a Luger are far more noticeable than a CZ 58 and an AK. That, and as I said, the bans here were largely based on aesthetics. Even I admittedly tend to associate guns with each other based off their looks rather than, or before, looking into their firing mechanism to find the differences. Also, I found out there is a civilian legal variant of the 58, the 858 Tactical, here in Canada. It still costs around $600.
I'm sorry that things like that are so expensive there.
Things above .22LR are all too expensive here, Mosin McNuggets seem to run between $130-$300 here, I've heard $99 is par in the States. Granted, I've heard Simonov SKSes run near $600 in some parts of the States, but run between $130-$250 here. [editline]5th August 2011[/editline] Inb4 Aman finds cheaper prices for everything because he bothered to look harder than me and makes me look lazy/stupid. [editline]5th August 2011[/editline] Again.

No, almost anything that isn't .22LR is expensive up here, at least, noticeably more expensive than in the States. Ammo is cheap on common shit though, and we got some cheap Milsurp stuff for Russian guns circulating around.
So you're a blue dog democrat.
Independent. There's a difference.
Sounds more Libertarian. As long as it doesn't affect me, others are welcome, in my eyes, to smoke pot while marrying their third wife, which happens to be a gay lawnmower. Stay out of my business, and I'll stay out of yours.
