It's a semi-auto variant of an AK that holds a double stack magazine. Some come with a 20rd mag, some with a 30rd mag. You can opt to not receive the magazine. Look on budsgunshop.com. Search for WASR.
In Canada, those would be 5/20 and 5/30 round, indicating pinned capacity over original capacity. Also, again it's unlikely I'll see any WASR rifles in Canada, and budsguns, understandably, doesn't ship north of the border.

The AK and it's clones, whatever of them may or may not be legal, is a tricky slope for Canadian gun dealers, because of the backlash from some idiots if they find out they're selling such an "Evil and scary" gun. They may still be illegal too, the order said and any variants except the Valmet M78 and Valmet Hunter, which I looked up, and while the first one does resemble it a fair bit, and has been used as a replacement for the AK in movies, the Hunter looks very different IMO.
Valmet's are full auto, and $11,000.
Not surprised on the price, but they likely, like the AK, made semi-only versions for civilian export.
Not surprised on the price, but they likely, like the AK, made semi-only versions for civilian export.
Full auto can't be manufactured for civilians anymore. They have to be made prior to 1980 something.
Full auto can't be manufactured for civilians anymore. They have to be made prior to 1980 something.
As I said, they likely made semi-only models for civvie use even back in the day. Also, you're lucky you've got the before '86 law, and I've heard that there's some tax stamps you can pay to get post '86 autos too. Can't confirm, haven't looked into it much, but I've heard that in the past.
Is there any saiga 12 pistol grip conversions that don't require moving the trigger group up? Dad and I don't have a tool shop to do that, we just want something simple.

thats one purdy scatter gun
Thank you, sir. If you're ever out around Denver, you're welcome to put a few rounds through it :)
I'd love to get my hands on an old LAW tube.
New pic, forgot the bayonet! :D
Valmet's are full auto, and $11,000.
Semi auto variants and they go for about $2500-$3500 in Canada's gun market. ALL AK variants and derivatives are prohibited. Other than Valmets. Durp laws

Durp laws
There've been technicalities and exceptions before, one retailer imports the Gepard GM6 in as a non restricted, but the Gepard Rifle and variants are banned by prescription. Same with that Polish Uzi variant coming in. And those Skorpion variants you mentioned. There's always some way around it if you look hard enough.
Pretty sure that Polish "Uzi" isn't actually an Uzi though. Just looks like one aesthetically. And the Skorpion itself is not banned just the calibre it's originally chambered in is along with the full auto version. The CZ-91 (the civilian semi auto version) is legal
Did you read the whole thread on /k/, Ridge? Boy that was a drama.
The one I posted the tube in last night? I watched it for about half an hour, then I went to bed. What happened?
Family photo!
How'd you get the rocket launcher? How much was it?

Prohibited Weapons Order #11. I think that same one bans that Gepard sniper, one version of which is being imported, the semi-auto GM6 Lynx, tacticalimports.ca is one of the sources.
How'd you get the rocket launcher? How much was it?
It's an empty tube. I got it for $75 at a gun show over the weekend.

I have a feeling that when the law was written there was no civilian version of the Skorpion and when that came out it wasn't covered by the law(?). Even though technically it should have. Oh well it's better for us.
It's an empty tube. I got it for $75 at a gun show over the weekend.
Damn. I'd get shot for having that here in Maryland.

Anyhoo as far as non conversion stocks go, I think there are a few, SUMMON THE ALMIGHTY GOOGLE.
So I'm looking into getting this... http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/229/products_id/60428 This uses single stack magazines, which obviously you can't get over 10rd mag's for an AK. My question is, how expensive is it to have this converted to double stack?

The WASR-10s can be converted to hi cap mags just with a little dremeling to widen the magwell.
Doesn't stop me from wanting to shoot it, though. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline] Auto merge snipe.
I put a new stock on my 590.

Let us know how you like it. A friend had one like that on his 870 and said it made it pretty painful to shoot.
No crap it's painful, you don't have the surface area to spread out the force like a typical shotgun.
