where can i get a k98?
Ya know, most Mosins, at least 90% went through the war. Some even have visible spots on the stock from blood splatter. Mine doesn't, just some carvings.

There were massive shortages. The "giant portion" were the 10% or so that never saw combat.
SKS is kinda meh... Don't get a Mosin.

I don't like Mosin Nagants.
What are your reasonings?
What are your reasonings?
I like them...but semi-auto rifles are more practical.
I like them...but semi-auto rifles are more practical.
I see. I won't really be using it for self-defense or home protection or anything though. I just want a fun range toy. Later down the road I'll grab a handgun or shotty to hold down the fort.
I already have two handguns to protect the house. And given how light of a sleeper I am, that's all I need.
I never thought of sleeping. I sleep like a rock so I'll need a few tripwire antipersonnel mines as well.
I was at my grandpas house and i saw his wallet and this in its holster [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/21/HK_P9S_PDRM.jpg/300px-HK_P9S_PDRM.jpg[/t] one in the chamber ready to rock and roll.
What is it?
A gun.
What is it?
hk p9
I never thought of sleeping. I sleep like a rock so I'll need a few tripwire antipersonnel mines as well.
I wake up with pretty much every noise, and when I wake up, I'm wide awake. If I hear a bang followed by any noise, I'm exiting the bedroom shooting.
I was laughed at when I asked where I could get 7,62x54r at a gun store today :downs:..
That sucks.
They're people that swear to 6,5 and .223 though, so I don't really give a flying fuck about their opinion.
You can't compare 7.62x54r to those. 7.62x54r is more comparable to 30-06 or .308.
Yeah, he told me that a .223 is way better than both 8mm Mauser and 7,62x54r. Nagants are also apparently garbage
More than just Mosins shoot 7.62x54r...
Yes, but he said nuggets are garbage, not any of the other things that shoot 7,62x54r.
They aren't "garbage" but it wouldn't be my first choice in a zombie apocalypse.
Nagants are cheap as fuck, but they are supposed to be pretty accurate, and reliable once you get all the cosmoline out of the action.
Nagants are cheap as fuck, but they are supposed to be pretty accurate, and reliable once you get all the cosmoline out of the action.
I shot mine the first time when it was covered in cosmoline, didn't have any issues.
My M44 can make 5 nice holes within 10cm at 100m.
That was a retarded hollywood movie you are talking about not real life. Cmon now.
That was actually true. Every other man. At least towards the end of the war.
That was actually true. Every other man. At least towards the end of the war.
No, no it wasn't. You're flat out wrong...
No, no it wasn't. You're flat out wrong...
The convoys bringing arms and supplies to Murmansk from Canada were famed for their high number of ships sunk. Only the desperate need of the USSR persuaded the Allies to continue absorbing such huge losses.

Canada? What?
Stupid people who aren't going to use firearms properly shouldn't be allowed to use them in the first place. It's just that there needs to be a screening process that can accurately weed out the idiots from the responsible users. And that would be so difficult to do.
Hunter safety courses are required before you go inna woods. At the very least, a basic firearm safety course should be required when purchasing a gun. But then people will bitch about registration and shit, because nobody wants to do that when buying their 8th gun, and you'd need records to show you'd already taken one. Aha! Make it a school course! Health II: Sexual Reproduction and your gun
I can get a Tikka T3 Lite for $340 less than the original price. Only question is if it should be a .223 or 6,5 :(
Well seeing as your in Norway, 6.5 should be quite abundant. I'd go with that one, it's should have some more oomph than .223
