I haven't decided which state I wanna move to yet, but Texas is high on the list.
I haven't decided which state I wanna move to yet, but Texas is high on the list.
Go to Wisconsin. They have CC and they're Class 3. And they're close by so I could stop by and say hello.
Not Alaska, I predict a fudd-ratio beyond measure.
Why not Alaska [editline]8th October 2011[/editline] Even more relaxed gun laws than texas
There's no people you can harm...?
Go to Wisconsin. They have CC and they're Class 3. And they're close by so I could stop by and say hello.
Minnesota has technical open-carry. Law doesn't specifically say it has to be concealed. No suppressors or any full-auto weapon (or short-barreled shotgun) that isn't C&R, though.
In Norway, having a silencer is a-okay, while an SKS is illegal :v: [editline]8th October 2011[/editline] In Norway, having a silencer is a-okay, while an SKS is illegal :v:
What I love is that this: is perfectly legal here, but this: was banned by order because it looks scary.
The Vz58.. the wood used for the stocks looks fucking horrid.
STOP THE FUCKING PRESSES, PRUSSEL JUST INSULTED A WOOD STOCKED FIREARM!
I'd be inclined to agree, though, it does look rather ugly.
It looks p horrible
Bakelite of magazine of Kalashnikov acceptable, but rifle of Chech is bad and ugly Kalashnikov clone. Not accept, as it it ugly and prone to jam, with a receiver of open top.
Fun fact: bakelite is known as polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride.
Basically all the components to make Bakelite.
Not Alaska, I predict a fudd-ratio beyond measure.
Excuse me?
Alaska may have liberal gunlaws, but from what I know alaska is more of hunting territories than competitional and OPERATOR shooting.
How about Vermont? I heard it's one of the most gun-filled states, with nice, intelligent people and magnificent landscapes.
Alaska may have liberal gunlaws, but from what I know alaska is more of hunting territories than competitional and OPERATOR shooting.
Wrong, the only difference is most people don't go to a range to shoot they just walk in their backyard. Of course there is a lot more hunting than most states but competition shooting is a big thing in the bigger cities. The one thing I like is most people are comfortable around guns and there is no permit to carry open or concealed. I met a guy at Fred Meyer open carrying a glock 19 in his shoulder strap. Nobody gave it a second glance... Now try that in some of the lower 48. Haha.
I don't think I could stand Texas either, and that is coming from an Alaskan. I don't like heat first of all so yeah Texas is doomed from the start, and I know Texas is like the all american state and all but they take it a little too far. The problems with homosexuality and religion blah blah blah... I love you Texas but DAMN!
Everything south sounds like its fucked, despite our gun laws it makes me glad I live in Australia
Everything south sounds like its fucked, despite our gun laws it makes me glad I live in Australia
Only thing keeping me out of Australia is the spiders and snakes. I would love to visit some day.
As long as I could afford to send my kids to a Canadian/British boarding school I could live in Texas. If not there, I'd want another southern state, I hate cold.
-sweeping generalization of the South-
It's actually not that bad. At all. It's better than Alaska.
Whatever you do do not come to Illinois because gun laws are horrible.
Come to Oklahoma, same gun laws as texas. No rednecks anywhere and only in the very southern part of the state is their an annoying accent.
Come to Oklahoma, same gun laws as texas. No rednecks anywhere and only in the very southern part of the state is their an annoying accent.
Texas accent isn't that bad. North Carolina and Georgia is where they get annoying.
Texas accent isn't that bad. North Carolina and Georgia is where they get annoying.
I've been to both of them, but I couldn't find a stereotypical southern accent anywhere...
I've been to both of them, but I couldn't find a stereotypical southern accent anywhere...
It's not a "southern accent," it's the local accents.
I hear Colorado is nice
It's nice. Gun laws are lax, as long as you aren't in Denver county. Can get all the Class III you want, suppressors, machine guns, SBRs/SBS'/AOWs, etc. Guaranteed CCW permit as long as you don't have a record and can pay the paperwork charge ($180 in Arapahoe Cty). Only complaint is the weather. It was 90 degrees on Monday, and snowing on Saturday. Temps can swing from 102 degrees in the summer to -30 in the winter. And those are the highs for the day.
What states allow backyard shooting ranges, because I am sick of California.
You have to either have a very long area to shoot down, or you need a berm to catch the bullets. You can shoot wherever you want, as long as you do those. Obviously helps to be in a sparsely populated area, as well.
