Something dumb, but why aren't handguards designed to dissipate aforementioned heat?
They are, that's why there's the slots in the side of AK handgaurds.
Though at a certain point the amount of heat being put out of the gas tube will just heat the handgaurd as well just through radiance.
Talking bout your Serbian gun. Didn't you say you were putting that american stuff on it from ebay? Also why would you buy a plastic AK? Might as well convert it to airsoft.
I don't like the look of wood furniture, aside from the Mosin, or M1 Garand. Also, a vertical foregrip, quad rail and my NcStar red dot is "American shit?" Who cares where it comes from, as long as it works. Again, opinion. No need to be a dick about it.
Now when I get an AR-15, I guess I'll make wood furniture and vomit at it or mebbe it'll look good.
My question is, if you buy an AK, why buy American branded? That's like buying an American brand Mosin lol.
You really can't use that comparison. Mosin's didn't get raped by 922r compliance laws, and they aren't $800-1000 for a legitimate Russian made brand.
Or maybe I'm just not understanding what you're trying to say, I dunno. My AK was assembled in America using a Bulgarian parts kit. Nearly the same quality as an Arsenal, but it saved me $300.
Wooden rails :v:
Why you killed my automerge funfest!
I'm saying its not a proper AK if some where in it is Russian. Plus plastic on most guns is a straight turn off. Alright in the end you might save money but it can cost you quality. Anyway, I've read this thread alot and a bunch of people were trying to help faze out, but he goes out of his way to tell them no, i'm buying it regardless.. So i just don't understand why he asks what to do...............................
derp not being that much of a dick, and if i am don't be so sensitive its the interwebs
plus im just sayin wood = ak
not wodd on eeerthing

Kind of off topic, but is it me, or are wooden AR stocks fucking sexy?
It already looks pretty good in a polymer stock, but wood is just hnnnggggg.
Also expensive as fuck, it would be neat, though.
Grapeshot is pieces of lead ball held together with a chain or rope. Back in the days of naval battles with cannons, those would be used to shoot at and rip apart a ship's mast.
grape shot is like the cannon version of buckshot.
what you're thinking of is chain-shot

Gotta love that feeling when you shoot a .45acp and the shell goes rolling down your arm ever so slow as if it just wants to take it's time strolling down the FUCKING sidewalk. I have a trail of burnt arm hair on my arm...
First chick has terrible trigger discipline.

Kinda reminds me of my friend's (and FP user) 460 Rowland 1911. As he put it, Chaotic Reliable.
One shot it could neatly eject the spent round out nicely onto the ground. The next shot would send the casing into orbit. :v:

I got hit on my forehead by a shell casing out of a Springfield Range Officer, it actually broke the skin. I thought I got hit by a ricochet.
I got hit in the forehead once by a shell casing out of a Desert Eagle in .50AE.
It hurt a bit, but I was too busy laughing my ass off to notice.
I once had a shell get ejected down the back of the guy beside me's shirt, it was funny to see him trying to keep a steady aim while squirming at the shell down his back.
Apparently, me and a friend might get invited to a shooting range in a few days.
Awww yea.
My little .22 loves to send shells into the ass-crack of the person firing next to me and down the shirts of relatives standing next to me :v:
I'm not even kidding me, we got to watch my brother dance for a casing that decided to go straight down his v-neck sweater. It was spectacular.
My nugget smacked me in the center of the forehead with a shell casing.
Twice.
In a row.

Now I want a kit to modify an AR-15 like that and I'm sold, because normally I don't really like AR-15 platform guns.
If I remember correctly, someone here was a tripfag on /k/. Prussel, right?
Oh, for an instant I thought someone here was that asswipe Zed. Glad to see it's not you.
Oh and, pleased to meet you. I am Doc Benny.
Actually, didn't he evade the ban and is now posting under the name of 7,62?
He probably did, he's too much of a moron to stop attempting to troll /k/.
All of /k/ is trolling /k/
Back when I was first lurking there in summer 2007, it was an awesome place, with info and cool, rare stuff.
Now it's just a gun-themed /b/
