Fuck that shit.
Happened to me a few weeks ago. Hurt like hell, and had a nice big red welt there for a week or so. All cleared up now, though.

Glock beta mag? :aaaaa:
So today I found out that the bitch who runs the "Coalition for Gun Control" is a professor at my university. Just fucking great. At least she's only a business teacher, hopefully in engineering I'll never have her as a prof.

Actually, when the long gun registry gets scrapped either later tonight or tomorrow I feel like running down Gould St. Yelling "Eat shit Cukier, the registry's dead! No more are average Canadians criminals in the eyes of the law!" That'd rustle her jimmies if she was anywhere nearby, but apparently her faculty is a few blocks away in the nearby mall, so it's doubtful, but there'll likely be some of her students that'll be a little rustled.
http://news.nationalpost.com/2011/10/19/harper-bill-to-kill-long-gun-registry-could-come-this-week/
Are the canucks celebrating this?
[editline]20th October 2011[/editline]
Holy shit, what
So, what would scrapping the registry mean to Canucks? Does it just mean you don't have to register your firearms, or does it bring further benefits to canadian gun-nuts?
I'm hoping it'll repeal a few prohibition orders and magazine restrictions too, but its primary purpose is abolishing the registry for long guns. The pistol registry has to stay, but in the 15 years the long gun registry's been around it's cost 500 times more than expected and accomplished NOTHING. They said it'd cost $2 million and it's cost over A BILLION DOLLARS. I can't wait for this shit to be gone.
Canada is becoming more free! I'm finally excited for Canadian politics, the long gun registry is dying and its blood is my reward! Can't wait to get my (R)PAL.
Getting a Nugget for my birthday, aw yeah.

You'll love it, twas my 18th birthday present.
What stuff should I get? Like is there a specially designed cleaning kit just for Nuggets or should I get a universal cleaning kit or what? Also, does it matter if all of the trades on the gun match as far as performance is concerned? Finally, what's the best way to get cosmoline off?

1. .30 caliber cleaning kit, don't use the one that comes with the mosin.
2. Stripper clips are fucking awesome, you should get some
3. I've heard boiled water works wonders on cosmoline.
All matching numbers mean is that it might work better than one with 5 different parts. Its not really all that important unless you're collecting them.
Also, It was the gun I got at 18 too, learned to shoot with it. You'll enjoy it.

Cosmoline, heat is needed to get it off. Some people stick it in the oven with the heat turned low, and a lot of aluminum foil on the bottom to catch the crap.
People in hotter states wrap it up in a black garbage bag and leave it in the sun (even better under a window)
Can anyone tell me where exactly to insert the stripper clip on the MN? I have fiddled around with it but haven't found the right spot to really put it in and then feed properly.

Should be a slot just in front of the bolt head when the bolt is open
That's kinda silly. You should politely inform her that it gets nothing but noisier from there.
Well, yeah, I know but there's a clear difference between a compact pistol and a full sized one on the "oh fuck my ears I think they're bleeding" scale. Just trying to figure out what would be a good caliber and what size of barrel. She probably can't handle something the size of a .44 or something xbox hueg, but I'd like her to have something better than a .22LR for obvious reasons.
Cosmoline, heat is needed to get it off. I diluted it with all-in-one oil and WD40, it's about the same consistency as normal gun oil, slippery but really sticky. I have two patches for the default cleaning kit, one of which is deerhide which was difficult to get in. I checked carefully, the rifling looks "deeper" now that it's been thoroughly cleaned, but I had to REALLY force that fucker in and eventually resorted to using a hydraulic wood splitter to help me. Was complicated and extremely difficult, but once it made that initial run through the barrel, the deerhide molded to every metal surface and a FUCKTON of gunk came out. Russians can't clean rifles for shit, apparently, because there was powder residue, copper and lead (no idea why) in the gunk.
I fired it afterward and there was some clear improvement.
Hehehe hydraulic wood splitter.
So apparently the RCMP confiscated a bunch of AK-47 BB guns made with the real receiver, which is banned in Canada, because they say it could be "easily converted" to semi-automatic fire of real bullets. I say they should prove this before confiscating anything, but the RCMP never has been one to favour justification.
I read about that on /k/.
The receivers are actually incredibly close to real ones. Even the gas tube and block are made to real standards.
RCMP says it's a real receiver, actually.
I don't see why doing so is such a big deal, I suppose it's because the AK is banned, but then I also don't see a reason for that either.
Apparently they are made out of real Norinco AK parts on the outside, but have the internals of toys.
The only way it could be converted into a real gun is by buying an actual AK parts kit without the receiver, and rebuild it.
So yeah, RCMP went full retard. Again.
Oh and prussel, stop using pony images whenever you post on /k/, it's getting silly.
then who was pony?
And then all my respect went out the window.
That's kinda biased don't you think?
I just had an awesome idea:
My Little Pony range targets.
Yeah.
I don't see a single reason why airsoft should have metal receivers and trigger/hammergroups identical to real guns.
Because it makes them look fucking amazing?
Pretty sure the guns they were talking about are the Real Sword Type 56s, they use real stamped steel receivers and gas tubes and shit.
Mine has a bunch of slots cut into the gas tube so you cant use it in a real AK though.
