Because it makes them look fucking amazing? Pretty sure the guns they were talking about are the Real Sword Type 56s, they use real stamped steel receivers and gas tubes and shit. Mine has a bunch of slots cut into the gas tube so you cant use it in a real AK though. [editline]21st October 2011[/editline] You are watching a show for little girls Go out into the real world and find someone who isn't a fucking "brony" that would respect you for watching it. (Protip: you wont find anyone)
RS Type56 is awesome.

It pretty much worked like the real thing and it was a good way for my little cousin to learn to handle the recoil of a pistol. It had a little kick to it.
Guys, can we keep the pony shit the fuck out of this thread? Seriously, leave it for LMAO Pics, Goddamn.
Can't we just keep it off of FP entirely?
I got this vertical grip off of Amazon, and it has a cap on the bottom where you can put a battery, it has the spring and metal contacts and everything...why?
Well what do you think? It's practical if you have a sight or light module.
There's nowhere for anything to go. It's a tube with a screw on the end.
There's nowhere for anything to go. It's a tube with a screw on the end.
I think they said it was battery storage, if it's the same sight I remember seeing.
I think they said it was battery storage, if it's the same sight I remember seeing.
Sight? It's a handgrip. Also, why have the spring, and metal contact on each end? It'll discharge the battery.
Dude, what
Dude, why are you saying what?
Wait, what? It doesn't actually let you run wires from it?
No. It's a normal tac grip, with a screw-off/on cap at the bottom. The cap has the battery spring, and there is a metal contact up inside of the grip. There are a couple of plastic parts that slide off on the sides, so maybe that's it. The thing is, there isn't any room for anything to come out FROM the battery hole.

[editline]21st October 2011[/editline] I'm darn sure I've seen you guys talking about a grip with a space and cap with electrical equipment before.
Yeah, we did I think it was about the same grip as well
Might have been. There's no space for wires to come out though.
Sight? It's a handgrip. Also, why have the spring, and metal contact on each end? It'll discharge the battery.
Sorry, I meant grip, don't know why I said sight.
Sight? It's a handgrip. Also, why have the spring, and metal contact on each end? It'll discharge the battery.
No it wont lol, that's not how electricity works Unless those contacts were connected somehow, nothing will happen
No it wont lol, that's not how electricity works Unless those contacts were connected somehow, nothing will happen
K so why are they there in the first place?
Thought you guys might like to see this old thing my dad had lying around in a closet: [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/yhTz8.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/RcfzE.jpg[/img_thumb] AFAIK it shoots, but I've never seen it do so. I'm going to pester him about it.
My AK.
K so why are they there in the first place?
are there little plates in the sides of the grip that come off and have a metal contact under them?
are there little plates in the sides of the grip that come off and have a metal contact under them?
No. There's no clearance under the plastic things on the sides. [editline]21st October 2011[/editline]
My AK.
Century Arms? If so, good luck with that one.
No. There's no clearance under the plastic things on the sides.
Then the spring is just to prevent the batteries from shaking around
No. There's no clearance under the plastic things on the sides. [editline]21st October 2011[/editline] Century Arms? If so, good luck with that one.
Got it with 400 rounds from a friend for $300. Gas tube and front site aren't canted, no mag wobble. Shot plate sized groups at 70 meters.
Then my respect for Prusselusken grew because of ponies.
It looks reliable from a range of slightly dangerous to EXPLODINGINYOURFUCKINGFACE dangerous. Test it and report back!
I'd love to, but neither I nor my dad actually know enough to determine if it's good enough to fire, and I don't think we have the materials for firing it.
Century Arms? If so, good luck with that one.
Centuries aren't bad if you look at them in person and make sure there's nothing wrong with it.
Well I got my quad rail for my Zastava PAP, but twisting the top handguard doesn't separate it from the gas tube, it doesn't even twist. Any suggestions that'll get it off easier?
On many AKs, don't you like, flip a switch or lift up the rear sight leaf to take pressure off the top handguard?
On many AKs, don't you like, flip a switch or lift up the rear sight leaf to take pressure off the top handguard?
Yeah, the gas tube/guard is off. I can't remove the handguard from the gas tube.
Yeah, the gas tube/guard is off. I can't remove the handguard from the gas tube.
Welcome to the wonderful world of 922r.
Welcome to the wonderful world of 922r.
This has nothing to do with 922r...it's a quad rail.
